She continued, pushing harder on the the bar. I'll keep doing this until I can see my reflection.
I must do my best, I won't except anything else! She thought to herself. I must work my hardest for.... Cherila realized she never picked up the owner's name. She blushed with embarrassment. He must think of me as being impolite, we never did the formal introductions... She continued her work, stopping now and then to observe her progress. Soon the bar was completely free of dust. Staring at it triumphantly, she smiled, glad for having entered the tavern. |
Deimos appeared behind the maiden, almost as if he walked out of the shadows.
"his name is Anaguma. Dont worry, he thinks nothing bad of you. And im Diemos. I have secrets as you do my dear. But, i cant sense your secrets at all. so its intrieging." He vanished almost as quickly as he came |
Blinking rather slowly as she tried to process all the information she had just received, Cherila paused as she tried to put the names to memory. She said nothing as she thought about it, secretly glad to be told that she had done nothing wrong.
But he knew of the fact that she had secrets? My face must say it all, she thought, staring at her reflection. Or could it be that Diemos was wise and knew that everyone has their burdens? She could not guess, but in the end she decided to leave it alone. Whatever the answer was, time was the true answer. She continued on her work, putting up a couple of small objects that she had taken off earlier to dust. She straightened them up. |
He stepped out of the room he had been working on and headed towards to staircase.
"Hey, Guma. Ive picked out my room already so make sure you make a note of it. unless you wanna drag out a coffin..." He looked at the staircase in which Guma was working. The staircase was finished, but Guma had fellen asleep upon them. "looks like we'll be walking around him tonight." |
Poor thing, she thought.
He must have been working hard... Cherila pulled out the note pad and scribbled quickly on it. Surely, we must put him in a bed. We can't leave him there, the note said. |
Deimos looked at her, then looked at the note, then back at her, then to Gumas sleeping corpse, and sighed.
"fine, ill put him in a room." He picked up Guma as if he weighed nothing and carried him off into the first room on the right on the second floor. Once he returned from Gumas new room, he replied to....to... "im sorry. what was your name mad'dam?" He bowed as he awaited her response. |
Cherila was glad to know that Guma was going to be ok.
She nodded, showing him she understood. Pulling out another paper, she wrote her name as neatly as possible. Cherila was the only word that was written on it. She handed it to him eagerly. ((OOC// I have to leave in like 5 min. Scratch that, I'll be on after that I just have to do something quick.)) |
he smirked as she seemed eager to tell him her name. He read the piece of paper that had her name on it.
"hmm, pretty name for a pretty maiden i suppose." (k, ill see ya later then. thanks for joining this. Im heading out real quick, so if i dont respond when you return, ill be back momentarily) |
She looked down nervously, shifting her feet in embaressment I think I'll go to bed now. She wrote, too nervous to say anything back. Cherila waved at him cheerfullyand handed him that note, before making her way up the stairs. Poking her head into Guma's room, she checked to make sure he was alright. She smiled seeing that he was sleeping peacefully. Then she went to another empty room, deciding that this would be her's. Curling up on the bed, not even bothering to pull up the blankets, before falling asleep.
((OOC// Haha no prob. It was fun to role play with you guys! Talk to you later.)) |
He watched intently as she walked away. As she walked up the stairs, the hunger struck again. He doubled over onto the bar room floor as his fangs began to pretrude. He dashed to the kitchen and rumaged around for something to put the hunger to rest. Not satisfied with the items at hand he ran to the front door and whipped it open, the high winds and rain whipped across his face as he disappeared into the night.

((OOC// Here I'll post something for you so that you can still role play without double posting.))
She woke up a little later, the place was still dark. Yawning loudly and stretching, Cherila squinted as she struggled to see through that inky blackness. She lifted her head up slightly, making sure all that happened was not a dream. Her head fell softly back on the bed again. So it's not a dream then, Cherila thought, her mind claimed with the drowsiness and emptiness of sleep. It seemed weird, she was so used to being on the road, staying at whatever inn she could find that she was able to afford at the time. Just like a fairy tale, She decided. Which princess was she though? Cinderlla? The girl who was forced to clean, until the fairy godmother saved her and a prince charming swept her off her feet, free from her life. Snow White? The girl who was almost killed by her mother's vainness, then found a new home among the most amazing characters. Then as she lay in a deathly sleep, saved by the kiss of a true love, and carried off into the sunset upon his steed. Sleeping Beauty? The girl cursed by her beauty, forever laid to sleep for many years, only to be awoken by her true love and saved from her eternal rest. Cherila frowned slightly. No not a single one was her. Guess what mom said was true, I'm the heroine of my own story. She sat up quickly. That's right! This is my story, the story of Cherila. Sure, it doesn't include the magic and prince charmings of a fairytale. Smiling she laid back down. And it may be painful to me now, but no matter what, this is my life and I.... Not realizing it, she had fallen asleep. |
Sufra walked through the town and noticed a cute tavern opening up.
I really need a job, and wherever there's a tavern, there must be an open slot for a bartender! she thought happily running to the tavern and knocking on the door which was open. "Hello?, I was wondering if I could get a job here...that is, only if you are accepting." she said a bit short of breath and nervous. Sufra was a 21 year old who wanted to do something different than her parents and brother. The thought of working as a bartender was something that she thought would never happen, but she was willing to work for it. |
Cherila heard a knocking in her sleep. She woke up slowly, realizing the knocking was real. Drowsily, she made her way down the stairs to see that a girl had appeared in the doorway. Not sure of what to do, she stared at the girl with a glassy clouded stare before bowing respectfully.

This doesnt look familiar He crawled out of bed and headed down stairs to see where the sound came from. He saw the lady from before as well as a new guest at the door. Quickly he acted. "Evenin- morning... how may we help you? I am the owner of this stablishment and it is very nice to meet you. please make your self at home. if you need a room, we have a few available." |
The morning hour came quicker than the vampire expected. He took his time returning to his resting place, in no rush since he was confident in his ability to get in unnoticed. But to his shock, someone was standing in the door way of his homested. Inside, he saw that Cherila and Guma were awakened as well.
|
She lifted her head up after bowing to see Anaguma standing next to her. Cherila decided he could take care of things, after all, he was the owner. Heading into the kitchen, she did her best to find things to make tea with.
The whole while she couldn't help smiling. The thought of a new friend languished over her mind, cause her to act as gracefully as possible. First impressions were a must and she couldn't help thinking that she had messed it up. This was her way of making up for it. |
Sufra nodded and entered the tavern.
"Thank-you...I'm sorry for waking all of you so early. I just really am in need of a job, I would like to apply as a bartender." she said bowing respectfully. |
Anaguma took in the situation. It seemed that the girl may have needed a place to stay, and wanted to work for it, or maybe she was a runaway or something. Either way, he needed the help. He nodded with a gentle smile and softly replied.
"sure. We could use a bartender. Your room is located on the second floor. Make yourself at home." He smile, then yawned, and walked into the kitchen, nearly bumping into Charila. "oh, well good morning. I wanted to thank you for putting me in a room. You really didnt have to do that." |
She stared at him wide eyed and slightly startled. Regaining her composure, Cherila searched herself for a piece of paper, only to realize suddenly that she had left it in her room. She held up her hand indicating for him to wait right there, while she headed up stairs.
A few minutes later she came back down, carrying a pencil and a notepad. It seemed that she had already written one out, so she handed it to him lightly and continued on the tea making. It said: Oh no! It was all Deimos' doing. He should be the one you are thanking. |

"Thank-you kindly, I will....also, if you need help with anything, I'll gladly help!" she said smiling brightly. "If you'll excuse me..." she said and turned around and walked to her room. She entered and was in awe. The room looked very comfortable. Sufra yawned and placed her bag under her bed. This bag had her clothes from her parent's house and some other personal belongings. After she organized herself, she walked out to the entrance to see if her assistance was yet needed. |

"that seems very unlikely. But, if you insist on it being his doing, i guess i shall thank him. Where is he by the way?" He looked around the bar and sitting area and found no sign of Deimos. noticing Sufra coming down the stairs, he walked over to see if she liked her room. "So, was your room decent? Sorry if it wasnt, we havent really had the time to clean up all th rooms as of yet." He looked around a bit more trying to spot Deimos then figured he may still be alseep. "Well, make yourself comfortable." |
Cherila wondered that too, she was pretty sure that Deimos hadn't gone to bed last night.
The teapot whistled sharply, she picked it up off the stove with a couple of towels, removing the bowl beneath it which had held lavender petals. The scent of lavender stung the air, waffling through most of the downstairs. This was another weird thing that she always carried around with her. She always had a little bag full of them, they were cheap enough to buy, plus tea wasn't the same without them. She set it down on one of the towels, that she had used. It had to cool off, so Cherila decided to check out the upstairs and see if Deimos had indeed gone to sleep. |
After the new stranger entered the building, Deimos was at a loss for words, for something finally came to his attention.
There are more humans joining us, but why cant i seem to feed off of them? i dont even feel the need to. This is troublesome. He shook the thought off as the sun began to show itself through the dissapating clouds. "Well, todays just going to be one of those days it seems" As the sunlight became lighter and closer to Deimos, he leaped high into the air and landed on his window seal. Pressing his hands against it, the window opened and he crawled in. Unsure of how he would truely react to the sunlight, since he's only heard of the legends and how vampires reacted to the sun, hes never really known any other vampire and hasnt even tried tempting that fate. |
She blinked slowly, taking in the sight of the streams of sunlight that shone vibrantly through the smeared windows. Feeling the warm of the sun, she cringed, shutting her eyes and willing the panic attack away. Cherila always reacted this way to any heat source, even worse when she saw fire. Her heart fluttered back and forth teetering on the edge of a fear.
Sitting down to calm herself, she called this grounding. The moment she felt the floor beneath her, her heart shifted itself back to normal. Cherila did her best to slide along the wall, avoiding the sunlight, and pushing open doors. She peered into them, only to see them empty. Finally she found one that looked like it had been opened. Cracking it open, revealed Deimos. She pulled out a piece of paper and quickly wrote on it. It seems that Anaguma wishes to see you. I think he wanted to thank you. Handing it to him, she stuck around to see his reaction. After all, he was out of bed, she was wondering if he had been up the whole time in his room. Maybe he wanted to be left alone. |
He took the note softly, and read it. He sighed then nodded. He looked at Cherila, sensing that something was wrong, the thought came to him after about a second of gazing...
This sensation, this fear, of sunlight? its the same as with me a second ago. He shook off the feeling and decided it was best he go give his "boss" a visit. Passing Chrila, he laid his hand on her shoulder, trying to reassure her that everything will be ok. |
