Naruto The Next Generation: Accepting Applications Please Join!!
 
The Premise: Twenty years have passed since the start of Naruto Shipuden. Naruto is now Hokage and has been for a while. All of Naruto's peers have grown up and had children of their own. Many of those children are now graduating from the academy or have recently graduated (you can be younger if you want but you won't have missions unless you are a genin). Now, mysterious new enemies are rising to threaten Konohagakure and her allies. The peace that their parents fought so hard to attain may soon be shattered and the new generation will be called upon to save it.

The Rules:
1. You are playing the children of the Naruto characters.
2. You can pair the Naruto cast off as you see fit but once someone has claimed a pair of ninjas as their parents, you can't pair those ninjas off with anyone else.
3. Sasuke is unfortunately not available as a parent (I have my reasons).
4. Your character must be no more than fourteen years old and twelve is preferable.
5. This is a literate role play, so no chat speak and please try to keep spelling and grammar mistakes to a minimum. Some are okay but it needs to be readable.
6. No godmodding.
7. No jinchuuriki.
8. No rank above genin just yet.
9. Follow Mene's TOS
10. No heavy romance but crushes are okay.
11. Don't kill off your parents in your back story. I may need them for the plot.
12. You are allowed to pair your ninja parent off with an original character, but they will be normal villagers.
13. You may have a leaf ninja and a ninja from another village as your parents, but at least one parent has to be a leaf ninja unless you can come up with a good reason for the exception (I can only think of one possible exception at the moment).
13. Most importantly, have fun!
14. Please try to post at least once a day or let me know if you will be gone for a while.
15. OOC comments should be posted in Red. This will prevent confusion.
16. Try to avoid any major spoilers. Some people are not caught up with the manga or anime. If you put them in an OOC post, mark them "SPOILER:" and color them white so they have to be highlighted to be read.
17. No evil parents. This means that no Akatsuki members can have fathered/mothered you. Same goes for Orochimaru or his lackeys.
18. If you go missing without giving notice for more than 3 days, I will assign your character to another player until you return. This is to prevent stranding other players who are interacting with yours.
19. These rules are subject to changes and additions as needed. Please don't make me have to add more rules.

CHARACTER PROFILES

GENIN

Screen Name: Saravi Boo

Character Name: Soyokaze Nara

Parents: Shikamaru Nara and Temari of the Sand

Personality: Soyokaze inherited much of her father's laziness, much to her mother's chagrin. Thankfully she also inherited his genius so she didn't flunk the academy despite frequently sleeping through classes. To her father's dismay, she also inherited her mother's temper and a smart mouth that has gotten her into a lot of troublesome situations. She is quiet and thoughtful a lot of the time and enjoys relaxing with a book or just watching the wind blowing through the leaves in her family's forest. She complains about chores, missions, and training but she is efficient and thorough in completing her tasks (most likely because she doesn't want to have to do them over again). Her intelligence makes it hard for her to relate to people her own age so she sometimes comes off as aloof or condescending. She is loyal to her family (both sides) and to her fellow ninjas. Those who know her well enough know that she can be counted on when it really matters, even if she does complain the whole time.

Signature Jutsus: Shadow Possession jutsu (just like her dad's), Wind Scythe Jutsu (Like her mother's slicing wind jutsu, only her fan is a bit smaller), Wind of Shadows jutsu (She uses her two foot tall fan to send out a strong gust, attaching her shadow to the wind she sends out. The shadow cast by this black wind clings to and ensnares anyone it touches as if they had been caught in her normal shadow possession. This gives her speed and range she doesn't possess with the basic Shadow Possession jutsu and allows her to move freely. However the chakra drain is immense so she can only maintain the possession for about a minute at maximum.) The fan is also her signature weapon and she isn't above using it in melee as a club (closed of course).

Other: Soyokaze Nara considers herself to have two homes. Her parents are the official liaisons between Sunagakure and Konohagakure and she traveled with them from one village to the other even when she was an infant, spending six months at a time in each village. When she was seven, her parents offered her the choice as to which village's academy she would attend to become a genin (previously they had taught her at home). She pondered the pros and cons of each academy and chose to attend school in Konoha, for reasons she has never bothered to explain. Since then, her parents have left her in her grand parents' (Shikaku and Yoshino) care while they travel to Sunagakure, and they make the trip back and forth monthly to lessen the length of time they have to spend apart from her. Soyokaze treasures her time with her parents, especially her dad, and is likely to slack off on everything else while they are home (unless her mother or grandmother find out, then she's in deep trouble). She misses her uncles and cousins but she made her choice and she is a leaf ninja now. The thought of the alliance between the two villages breaking down is one that plagues her in her more melancholy moments, but she has several contingency plans to be implemented should that ever happen. Soyokaze is best friends with Shinji Aburame. Like her father had seen more than Fa-huskiness with Choji, her intellect allowed her to see that Shinji was lonely and shy rather than creepy and aloof. Demonstrating an initiative that she rarely showed, Soyokaze approached the Aburame boy. To her surprise, she discovered that he was very intelligent and not a lot of trouble most of the time. That was shortly after she moved back to Konoha permanently and they have been friends ever since.

Personality: Shinji is quiet and reserved like his father and grandfather, but also has a fun side for those who get close enough to bring it out in him. He's very self conscious about the way people view his family and their affinity for bugs, but he is proud of his clan and deals with the stigma of being the "creepy bug boy". Few people outside of his family bother to get close enough to realize that Shinji is really just exceedingly socially awkward. He doesn't understand people and he has no clue how to deal with them so he generally just clams up and reverts to trained politeness.

Signature Jutsus: Kikaichu: Chakra eating insects reside inside his body and he can release them at will. The individual insects are fragile but only a few have to latch on to slowly drain Shinji's opponents of their chakra, rendering them unconscious or worse.

Insect Tracking: The kikaichu are small enough to use as scouts and if a female is planted on a target, the male kikaichu can track the target from an impressive distance.

Insect Clone Jutsu: He can only make one because his body isn't large enough and he doesn't have enough chakra to support more insects. A solid hit will disperse the insect swarm clone but some of the insects are likely to land on the attacker and can render them helpless if not noticed quickly.

Insect Charming Jutsu: He can call any nearby insects to an area around him, mostly used for study.

Other: Shinji has never been seen by any of his classmates without his mask, long-sleeved shirt, and sunglasses. This has led to much speculation about what he looks like underneath it all. Most of his classmates interact with him very little, either freaked out by his Aburame-ness or put off by his reserved attitude, which is often misinterpreted as haughtiness. His glasses and concealing clothing form a barrier between him and a world that doesn't understand or entirely welcome him. He longs to fit in but isn't willing to change who he is to achieve that. He is eager to prove himself as a ninja and wants to be a great squad leader like his father. The only person outside of his family that has actually put forth the effort to befriend him is, oddly enough, the laziest girl in town, Soyokaze Nara. She has been his best friend since they were seven years old. Occasionally, he wonders if there might be more than friendship between them someday, but he isn't one to rush things. Not to mention he doesn't know how to tell her how he feels.

Private: Shinji has a huge secret. Not telling what it might be. ^_^

Personality: Sona takes after his father more than his mother, he is very reserved and often thinks people are out to get him and he tends to shy away from others being very quiet. Though once he gets to know people he is like his mother only with them, being laid back and being extremely loyal to his friends. He can be hot tempered though taking after his father. He was originally raised with his dad at the fire temple to learn how to use wind Jutsus’s until he was 12. Then he moved to the hidden village with his mom and has been living with the Inuzuka since.

Signature Jutsus: Sona has been trained to use Wind Jutsus by his father like, Wind Release: Wind Cutter and Wind Release: Vacuum Wave, though he uses Wind Release: Beast Wave Palm rapidly (Being young they can mostly just inflict some serious cuts, though at the moment it isn’t nearly as powerful as his fathers.), and often uses Wind Release: Beast Wave Violent Wind Palm which is a giant claw like hand out of chakra that can deflect Kunai and can grab and inflict some serious wounds (Though due to the amount of chakra needed to be used he can only do it a few times before he is exhausted. Though he has a hard time perfecting these moves being away from his father he has trained to use his nindog Haka, it’s a pure white wolf puppy and unlike his mom he can only use one instead of three. He is just starting to learn how he and Haka can work together so he has very few Jutsus to use with his nindog, he has enhances senses and uses Beast Human Clone Jutsus, though he is just learning to use double piercing fang with Haka.

Other: Sona carries a tri bladed death claw which he learned to wield at the fire temple along with the fire temples secret taijutsus. Since he was trained at the fire temple for the first few years of his life he has no idea how to interact with others often being shy and uninviting. This has made him feel like an outcast normally when he goes places which has made him jumpy and short tempered. Though he longs for friendship and people to get along with, friends.

Personality: Alex takes more after her father Naruto in personality terms, being hardheaded and doesn't know when to give up. She can be overly zealous... but when she knows she is in trouble she seems more like her mother Hinata and begins having a hard time finding the words and even stuttering a bit. When she fight's it is all her.

Personality:Sano is strong, energetic, determined and "loud". She's not always serious but when she is it's easy to tell. Some traits from her mother's side are that she is as caring and sensitive as her. On the other hand, Sano always has this odd curiosity when it comes to crushes and deep secrets.

Signature Jutsus: She learns some genjustsu and taijutsu.

Other: She is the first ninja in her branch of her family since her great great grandfather, the first Hokage.

Doggy Backstory: Once when she was little she got a dog for her birthday. She thought it was cute and back then she still had her love of animals. She would always play with it. It was a white puppy that seemed to have a beauty mark beside it's nose. She named it Marshmallow. But one day, she lost the dog and it never came back. One year later she saw that same dog on the street. The dog sat there at the edge of the sidewalk and just stared at her. It was dirty but it still had it's collar on it that she had made for it. 'I thought he looked familiar..' Sano had thought. Like always, she approached the animal with a smile and care but then the dog viciously growled at her and began to bark in an aggressive manner. Little Sano jumped back in fear. "I thought you were my friend!" she said. The dog continued to growl at her as more hobo dogs came at her and barked at her. Sano ran away as fast as she could until she tripped and dropped her teddy bear. ((She was five at the time)) Sano quickly got up and watched as her teddy bear got torn to pieces. It was like having a best friend being torn out of your heart forever. Sano ran home. She had to leave the bear behind because seeing how badly it was torn she didn't think it could be fixed. And from that day, she has always feared dogs. The End! xD

Personality:Like her father, Kaida isn't a very talkative person. She's more of the silent and thoughtful types then the headstrong, rush into everything types. She's good at analyzing situations but tends to be more independent than dependent on others. She has slight trust issues, kinda like her father did when he was younger.

Signature Jutsus:
Sand Jutsus: While she doesn't, didn't, and never will have Shukaku within her, Kaida seems to have a natural affinity for the basic sand jutsus her father uses the most.
Chakra Strings: She's also been experimenting with puppets after her Uncle Kankuro taught her some of his basic skills. He also made her a small panda puppet that she wears on her back like a back pack. The puppet is deceptively cute but it shoots poisoned darts from its mouth and the little arms detatch and have poisoned blades on the shoulder ends. Also the puppet has retractable claws on all four paws. The poison is a bit weak because she makes it herself and Kankuro didn't finish teaching her how to make the more deadly stuff, but she is experimenting to create better ones on her own. She calls the puppet Panda-chan, because it unnerves her enemies and throws them off guard.
Minor Medical Jutsus: Basic first aid only
Her taijutsu on the other hand isn't very good.

Siblings: Kaida is an only child, seeing as her mother disappeared a few months after Kaida was born

Background: As the Kazekage's daughter everyone treated Kaida like some porcelain doll, which helped to nurture her independent nature. Her so called friends were too scared to include her in some of their rougher games because they feared what would happen to them if they accidentally hurt her. As a result Kaida found herself spending more and more time with her father. Whenever he had spare time he would help train her and she learned quickly. As she got older she started training with her uncle Kankuro, whenever he had free time. He even made her a puppet of her own. After graduating from the academy in Suna, Kaida became increasingly frustrated about being overprotected. She approached her father with the problem. Gaara made arrangements with Naruto for her to go to Konoha for a while to learn more about Suna's closest allies. Officially she is a Sand genin, but she is under orders to obey the higher ranking leaf ninjas and the hokage (as long as they don't order her into conflict with Suna of course). While she is in Konoha she will be living in the Nara home with her cousin and her cousin's grandparents (and her Aunt and Uncle whenever they are home). Kaida hasn't seen her cousin in several years but they used to play together as children. So Kaida finds herself traveling to a village she has visited only once before.

Appearance: He has black hair in the same messy style as his father's was when he was younger. His eyes are also the same black slits that his father's were. His mark of the Inuzuka's are red streaks that look like trails of blood falling from his eyes.
He has a lithe build and normally dresses in black cargo pants and a short sleeved gray-black hoodie with a red shirt underneath.

Personality:Kaito's one of those carefree happy-go-lucky guys. He loves to have fun but knows when it's time to be serious about something. While he doesn't seem like it he is also really good at escaping from tight situations.

Signature Jutsus: Beast Imitation Jutsu: Grows claws and fangs and becomes more doglike in his attack methods.
Beast Human Clone Jutsu: Tenshi can turn into a female clone of her master in with claws and sharp teeth.
Fang over Fang Jutsu: He and Tenshi (in human form) perform twin spinning attacks that can do major damage. Takes a lot of chakra so usage is limited.
Nindog: Tenshi, she is a white and black huskie.

Other:
Siblings: None, Kaito's an only child
Likes: Dogs, the outside, stargazing, hanging out with friends (among other things)
Dislikes: Bitter foods, bitter medicine, basically anything bitter. Bright colors, and fangirls also top the list.

Background: Kaito's had a pretty good childhood. Unlike his father, when it came to academics, Kaito took after his mother and got really good grades. Like his father, he liked playing pranks and goofing off a lot. He's always around friends because he's just that much of a happy go lucky guy.
His father gave him Tenshi when he was about 4 or 5 years old. Apparently Kiba had wanted Kaito to have a male dog but when they had gotten to the kennel Kaito was instantly drawn to Tenshi and she to him. They were inseperable after that.

Byakugan Three Strikes- grabs the opponents extended arm, flips them around and then strikes them thrice on the back, sending them flying.

Eight Trigrams Empty Palm:This jutsu is similar in practice to Eight Trigrams Palms Heavenly Spin, but has a specific target rather than a general area.

Gentle Fist- The Gentle Fist style of combat is based on palm strikes and generally aims to damage the body's Chakra Pathway System, thus creating difficulty by inhibiting an opponent's use of chakra

Mind Body Switch Technique:This technique allows the user to enter the mind of another person or even an animal.

Personality: Much like her father she is a perv and proud of it too which is why her pranks center around embarassment due to nudity.

Signature Jutsus:
Embarassment Jutsu: This is a Jutsu of her own creation. It's a Jutsu that literally rips the close off of her target.

Chakra enhanced strength: When she concentrates her chakra to any part of her body it's strength increases to three to four times her own strength.

Chakra Scalpel: This medical technique forms one's chakra into a small, sharp blade. This can then be used for highly accurate incisions necessary for surgeries and anatomical dissections. Unlike regular scalpels, the Chakra Scalpel can actually make cuts inside the body without actually creating an open wound, limiting the risks of an infection.

Mystical Palm Technique: This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it highly useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury. This requires a great amount of chakra control. Because she has only had this skill for a short amount of time she can only currently heal minor wounds though trying to do more taxes her chakra reserves and causing her to most likely pass out

By sending an excess amount of chakra into the patient's body, the user can overload the patient's normal circulation, trapping them in a comatose state.

Important Body Parts Disturbance: By converting her chakra into electricity, Lexi is able to flip the opponent's nervous system signals to any part of the body. For example, if someone tried to move their right arm, a different part of the body would move in the way they wanted their right arm to move. However, the victim can partially overcome the technique if they manage to relearn the connection between their thoughts and their limbs. Of course this is only temporary.

Summoning Jutsu: Lexi at the age of 11 signed a contract with the hawk species. She now has the ability to summon Hawks of many sizes currently can only summon a single silver winged hawk named Silver as she is still relatively new to her summoning art. Though she has the potential to summon bigger ones.

Personality: Shikaharu is considered a genius, but to a much lesser degree compared to his father. He can be abrasive, ruthless, and close-minded, but he can also be compassionate and humorous.

Signature Jutsus:
Shadow Toss Jutsu - After making the necessary hand signs, Shikaharu extends his shadow to link up with a living organism's shadow (including trees) and can throw them a few feet away, but with the exception of large trees. He can bend the tree so it's shadow can connect with another one and so on.

Other: Shikaharu likes to eat ramen with seaweed. He occasionally plays shogi with his dad whenever they have time. His mother forces him to carry her old fan around for unknown reasons. Shikaharu gave up on being the next in line to takeover as head of the clan because he didn't want such a heavy responsibility on his shoulders, so he passed it on the his sister. He likes to sit on the roof of his family's house and stare at the stars late at night. He normally goes with his dad to feed the deer and retrieve the antlers for the medicine the Nara clan is known for. He adopted his father's phrase "What a drag", but made his own as well "Calm yourself" and is the lazy prankster of his class.

He has a younger sister named Soyokaze who is 12 years old. Shikaharu and Soyokaze's sibling relationship is the kind where they will talk every so often. He doesn't judge his little sister's choice in friends even if they seem a bit ... odd. He cut the same scar on his cheek to resemble his grandfather, Shikaku (whom he spends time with whenever he wasn't with his father). He was given a choice between becoming a Sand ninja and a Leaf ninja, but decided to dedicate himself to the Hidden Leaf to protect his family, mainly the women. Also, he visits his relatives in the Suna village with his parents to keep in touch with his cousin and uncle, (Kaida and Gaara). Lastly there is an ongoing debate between who is smarter between Shikaharu and Soyokaze, but they appear to be evenly matched at the moment.

Personality: Haru is a goodnatured, compliant, and eager shinobi. Despite her talent for battle, and incredible abilities, Haru dislikes having to kill or harm people, thus the reason why she prefers to use strong fist over gentle fist. She enjoys feeling useful.

Other: Haru’s dad is a diplomat sent by the Mizukage to Konoha. Her parents met and became a couple. Haru studied at the Kirigakure's academy for a few years before transferring to Konoha and graduating there. Due to the fact that the Hyuuga family has not seen Haruto's skill, she has to prove herself to the clan that she's a worthy candidate for being the next family head.

The head of the Hyuuga family has been passed down from Hiashi to Hanabi; thus making Haru next in line to inherit the title of family Head. Her mother has trained her long and hard to have her surpass her cousins.
Her mother was not placed into the branch family due to the fact that Hiashi felt that Hanabi was a more suitable heiress than Hinata. Her eyes are with tints of lavender and blue gray. She also knows taijutsu moves as well (3 kicks and 3 strikes).

Signature Jutsus: has a passive jutsu called Shadow Armor that is similar to Gaara's sand armor but it's effectiveness depends on how much light there is and if he's standing in a shadow. He can also draw his own shadow into himself to cover his fingers like claws. His Shadow Claws also have an anti-coagulant (prevents blood from clotting causing it to bleed a lot). Daku is also developing a jutsu which he calls Shadow Resurrection. Shadow Resurrection allows him to send shadows into a dead body (so far he's only done it with a dead squirrel) and use the body like a puppet, though it requires a lot of chakra, even on a moonless night. He can also make shadows 'cling' to him, allowing him to become almost invisible if he stands still in a shadow. Another of his jutsus is called Shadow Network where he can sense any living creature stepping on a shadow that is connected in any way to his own (very useful in places with many criss-crossing shadows like a forest)

Other: He was found outside the village gates when he was 2 years old. He doesn't know who his parents are. He's lived in foster home after foster home since then. Daku has a dark outlook on life and prefers his solitude. His 'socializing' consists of playing somewhat malicious pranks on the people of the village. When his affinity for shadow jutsus surfaced during his early school years, the villagers assumed that he was an orphan of the Nara clan and he was sent to one of the clan families as a foster child, but it didn't work out. After going through a few other foster homes he became Kakashi's foster son and student at age 15. Kakashi helps him train and develop his Jutsu

However, he did inherit a nasty internal alter ego from his mother. When things do start to get bad, his inner ego may cloud his judgement and make him unstable. There is a side of Satoshi where he blames himself for the death of his team member several years ago, but he copes with that pain in silence and puts on a smile to reassure his friends and family.

Signature Jutsus:

Eight Gates - A jutsu he learned from his father. At the moment, he is only able to open the first six gates. This is his last resort jutsu.
Strong Fist - Not a jutsu but the fighting style he learned from his father. The goal is to break bones and cause external damage to opponents.
Chakra Enhanced Strength - A jutsu where the user builds up the chakra flow in his hands or feet and releases it a just the right moment, which increases his strength substantially.
Mystical Palm Technique - A jutsu that normally speeds up the body's normal healing process and acts as a helpful medical jutsu. However, if too much chakra is put into the patient's body and overloads their circulatory system, it will leave that patient in a helpless, immobile state.
Chakra Scalpel - A jutsu that allows him to form his chakra into a sharp blade. This is useful for surgeries, but can also be used offensively to inflict internal damage.

Other: Satoshi graduated from the academy a year earlier than his classmates and was placed on the same genin squad as Kaori Tanaka. After each of the teammates grew into their own and reached the rank of chuunin, Satoshi and Kaori's comrade was killed on a B rank mission that ended up being way beyond the young squad's skill level. The team returned to Konoha and attempted to fill the hole in their squad with multiple replacements, but the efforts were in vain and the squad was basically broken by the time Kaori became a jounin. The death of their friend resulted in an unbreakable bond between Satoshi and Kaori. Satoshi also made a pact that he would never let anything happen to his remaining teammate. The two remain best friends and closer to each other than to anyone else. They have a strong mutual respect for one another and reunite often for missions.

Shineji is very self-reliant and tries to encourage those tendencies in those around him. Due to this, he comes off as cold-hearted. However, if he decides to help someone, he'll go all out; he only stops helping when a) the problem is resolved and b) if it reoccurs, the person he helped will have no problem taking care of it on their own. He is also extremely loyal.

Personality: Quiet and kinda laid back, but will do what he is told. When he's around people he knows, he just won't shut up. Training and missions are the only things he takes seriously, anything he else he does he just screws around. Whenever things get extremely bad though, he'll do whatever it takes to survive, unless it involves killing a comrade.

Signature Jutsus:
Taijutsu: Learned from his father, so it's more powerful than if it was taught by someone else.
Dance of the Crescent Moon: Creates three shadow clones that attack along with Nagi in a complicated sword dancing pattern to confuse and injure opponent.
Sword Barrage: With this jutsu, Nagi makes a sequence of slashes with his sword and finishes with a powerful final slash doing liberal damage to the enemy.

Other: Nagi tends to put away a quite a few pounds of food in one sitting. Unlike most, Nagi will only eat ramen if it is the only option he has. Even though he doesn't talk much, he loves to be around women. His only sibling is Satoshi Lee. He doesn't mind the others that are the same rank of him, but he somehow does something to get on their bad side or at least annoy them.

Unlike regular scalpels, the Chakra Scalpel can actually make cuts inside the body without actually creating an open wound, limiting the risks of an infection. In heated combat, it can still effectively cut muscle tissues and tendons, rendering the target immobile.

Mystic Palm Technique: This medical ninjutsu allows the user to speed up the body's natural healing process by sending chakra from their hands into a wound or afflicted body part. This allows the user to heal a patient without the need for medical equipment or surgery, making it highly useful on the battlefield. It can be used to treat both external and internal injuries. It is vital to match the amount of chakra used to the severity of the affliction or injury.

Gentle Fist Technique: The Gentle Fist style of combat is based on palm strikes and generally aims to damage the body's Chakra Pathway System, thus creating difficulty by inhibiting an opponent's use of chakra. To do this, the user will forcefully insert a small amount of their own chakra into an opponent's chakra pathway system. The chakra can then be used to rupture or divert chakra flow, preventing them from using jutsu. Because Souji can only deduce the locations of the chakra points from his training, not see them as members of the Hyuuga clan can, his strikes are not reliably effective in this manner. He can effectively "jam" an opponent's chakra, but not stop it completely. However, the Gentle Fist can also be used to attack the opponent's internal organs, to which the chakra pathway system is closely tied. Even the slightest tap from this style can cause major damage. Additionally, any chakra-based substance can be destroyed by putting chakra in it with the Gentle Fist.
Other: As a boy, Souji was raised by his mother and older sister. He did his best to grow up quickly, so that he might take his father's place as the man of the household, but found early on that the women in his family were strong enough in their own right. This did not discourage him, however, but rather pushed him to become a strong ninja as well. Knowing that his mother idolized Lady Tsunade, and because his sister had followed in their mother's footsteps as a master of weapons, he diligently studied medical ninjutsu. Additionally, because his mother did not want him growing up without a strong male influence, he received periodic visits from his godfather, Neji Hyuuga, who was his mother's longtime friend and former teammate. Despite his lack of the Byakugan with which to see chakra points, Souji had inherited his mother's ability for swift and accurate attacks, and had his own knowledge of medical ninjutsu as well. Kaori is protective, persistent, and quick tempered at times. She's mature beyond her years and always keeps her word. If she is ordered to do something, it will get done by any means if necessary. Like her mother, she is able to work things like calculations or strategies out in her head and to crazy accuracy. However, unlike her mother, she can take a joke and has a goofy side to her as well. She's outgoing and has no problem talking to new people or correcting any strangers' behavior. Rude people and a lack of manners is an enormous pet-peeve of hers, and she doesn't react kindly to it. She's a hard worker and expects her new squad to be the same.
Signature Jutsus:
Heavenly Chain of Destruction- She tosses her large scroll into the air above her opponent and summons hundreds of different weapons from it, which rain down, impaling anything in their path. The weapons move so fast that they appear as white streaks.
Twin Rising Dragons- She attacks her opponent with weapons summoned from two small scrolls. Once the scrolls are activated they release smoke while flying into the air in the shape of two dragons formed of smoke. She then jumps between the two scrolls, and starts to rapidly summon and throw all sort of weapons.
String Reeling Technique- allows her to attach chakra strings to her weapons and control them effortlessly with only her fingers.
String Reeling Technique: Cyclone - with a multitude of weapons attached by chakra strings of varying lengths to her fingers, hands, wrists, she twirls them around her body in a single barrage of sharp weapons.
Other:
Kaori was mostly raised by her mother, since her father was a civilian casualty of an ambush when she was just a toddler. Before she was old enough to talk, she was outside learning the basics of being a shinobi and training with her mother. Like Tenten, Kaori is a master of weapons, and she definitely inherited her mother's deadly accuracy. The only person who can match her skill with weapons is her mother herself. It isn't unusual to catch Kaori spending time with her mother and training closely by her side. By the time she graduated from the academy she was at the top of her class and almost considered a prodigy child. From that point on she continued to grow stronger and participated in a multitude of missions, even becoming the first of her squad to reach the rank of chuunin. At sixteen she was already a determined and persistent jounin who aspired to become an Anbu Black-Op. A couple years later, after she was significantly matured by her tougher missions, she was approached by the Hokage to accept a team of genin to take under her wing.

Personality: Izumi is scatterbrained and OCD. She has to have every little thing exactly where and how she likes it, but is often slow to notice big things. She is generally a sweet person, but she is also an expert at using her position to get back at people who irritate her. She does not like being laughed at. Izumi is also draconically protective of her patients, and gets very irritated when she has to repair an injury she just fixed the other day. She is something of a medical prodigy, specializing in diagnostics and injuries.

Mystical Palm Technique: Combination of chakra scalpel and healing by laying on of hands, standard for all med-nins
Diagnostic Jutsu and Tickling Diagnostic Jutsu of Doom: Izumi's own diagnostic jutsu. It's an excellent tool for finding out what's wrong, but requires an extremely precise use of chakra. If too much is used, it creates a tickling sensation.
Chakra Restraints: Because ninja make lousy patients, Izumi uses Chakra Restraints to enforce bedrest.
Healing Resuscitation Regeneration Technique: an advanced medical Technique requiring a seal and multiple med nin.

Other: Izumi uses her mother's name so as not to lose her wave heritage. She is rather addicted to rice candy, and several of her long term patients keep a supply on hand to bribe their way out of the hospital a little bit early. She deals with this by simply telling them they have to stay a day longer than necessary and letting them think they escaped early.

The Opening Scene: Graduation Day! Congratulations New Genins of Konoha! You have just received your headbands and the ceremony is over. Go talk with your families, greet friends, get acquainted with your teammates (if you don't already know them or aren't close). Tomorrow you will meet your Jonin senseis at the academy first thing in the morning (for now you don't know who they will be).

Konohamaru's squad helped out with the ceremony, a basic D rank mission. Now that it is over feel free to mingle with your new peers or go elsewhere. Just remember that you have to meet Konohamaru-sensei at nine the next morning, in training area 3.

Kaida- You arrived in the village just that morning, along with Shikamaru and Temari, who made a special trip to accompany you and to see their daughter graduate. Your assignment was announced during the ceremony along with the other genins, so meet your new teammates, greet your cousin, whatever you feel like doing...

Soyokaze spotted her parents standing near the back of the crowd and headed towards them. She hadn't seen them in several weeks, so when she got to them, she threw her arms around first her mother and then her father.

"Congratulations, sweetie." Temari grinned at her daughter. "I'm so proud of you!"

Shikamaru shook his head, "Now, you'll get to see the sort of trouble you've gotten yourself into. I told you, you should've been a grocer." but his eyes were sparkling and he relented in his teasing. "You're going to be great, kid. Just be careful." He ruffled her untameable blond hair, "Use your head so I don't have to come bail you out of troublesome things, okay?"

Soyokaze smiled lopsidedly and nodded, "Yeah, Pops. You can count on me to avoid trouble." She spotted her cousin and blinked as she recognized the girl. "Kaida? Hey." she waved her hand in a lazy greeting.

Shinji noticed his family and worked his way through the celebrating crowd to where they stood. There was a small circle of clear space around the Aburames, but that was normal.

His mother hugged him and gushed about how her little baby had grown up, ordering him to be careful and not let 'that Nara girl' (she didn't really approve of Soyokaze for some reason) rub off on him.

Shino laid a firm hand on his son's shoulder, not as comfortable with displaying affection as his wife was. "You are a credit to the clan, Shinji. You will make us very proud."

"Thank you father." Shinji smiled, knowing his family would know it was there even hidden behind his mask. "I should go speak to my teammates."

"Of course. We'll see you at home." Shino gently dragged his now blubbering wife away.

Alexandria was thrilled when she got her head band and tied it around her head... though it was uncomfortable so she slipped it around her neck and tied it there much like her mothers. Sometime today though she had to go to the Hyuuga manor and tell her Hanabi (current head of the Hyuuga I'm guessing).

As she turned around she saw her parents one of which she rarely got to see in the day time. Her smile was wide as she bounded over to hug her father "FATHER!!" it was obvious she was happy to see him. Then she switched over to hugging her mother "Mom" Hinata and Naruto both hugged their daughter.

Naruto spoke "You had a few issues but you graduated". Alex replied to her father "Mother tells me you had your share of troubles in ninja school too" Naruto scratched the back of his head laughing nervously. Hinata giggled at Naruto before saying to Alex "Don't forget that you need to visit your aunt Hanabi" Alex replied "Yeah I know" she smiled.

She then saw her Uncle Neji and decided to sneak up on him and give him a hug. Even though he wasn't the hugging type she wanted to hug him anyways because she loved him either way. Her smile was wide as the glomp was inflicted upon her uncle.

Soyokaze spotted the hyperactive blonde girl that was to be on her team as she glomped Neiji Hyuuga. "That one is going to be troublesome." She grumbled and shook her head. She knew the Hokage's daughter from classes. They had spoken a few times but they had never been particularly close.

"I should go talk to Shinji and Alexandria." She gave her parents one last big hug and then turned back to her cousin. "Want to come along?" She said reluctantly, hoping that her younger cousin wasn't going to cause her any extra work.

Shinji also spotted Naruto's daughter, but decided to wait until she was done greeting her family before he moved to speak with her. They had never actually spoken in all the years they had been attending school together and he was a little uncomfortable with the idea of approaching her alone. He looked around for Soyokaze and headed her way when he saw her, standing with her parents and the girl he assumed was the Kazekage's daughter. They could go talk to Alexandria together. That way he wouldn't have to do much talking.

Sano was beat after all that work putting the ceremony together. It wasn't fun during the process. When Konohamaru said we were doing a mission this wasn't really what she had in mind. She still couldn't believe she got psyched over such a lame mission. It was basically nothing to her than the type of action packed missions she would rather be doing. But she was still glad it was over. Even watching the ceremony kind of reminded her of when she first got her headband how proud and happy she was. Good times.

Sano let out a deep sigh. She began to walk around to see if anyone familiar was around to talk to. She then look passed a family and saw that girl that she usually saw around the village. Soyokaze right? I never talked to her in a while. Maybe I should go and say hi. Sano got ready as she went into her "greeting mode". She walked towards Soyokaze and smiled. "Hey Soyokaze, remember me?" Sano giggled.

Soyokaze turned slowly in the direction of the person who just addressed her. She nodded at the girl, "Sano, right?" She wasn't overly familiar with the older genin but she had nothing against her and they had talked a few times before the other girl graduated the previous year. She spotted Shinji heading her way as well and that brought a small smile to her face. She raised her hand in a lazy wave as he got closer. "You know Shinji Aburame, don't you?" She drawled as he came to stand slightly to the side of Sano.


Shinji bowed stiffly but politely at Sano. "Hello, Senju-san." His words were a bit forced, he had to work at politeness around people. It was why he liked insects...and Soyokaze. Bugs didn't have etiquette rules to worry about and Soyokaze said stuff like that was too much trouble to remember. It was no wonder many people felt she was rude, really...

Sano nodded as a reply to Soyokaze's question. Sano bowed back at Shinji. "Nice to see you Aburame-san. So, how was the graduation? Are you curious about your Jonin sensei? I'll be glad to answer questions about being a Genin if you want!" she offered politely. Sano remembered her first day as a Genin like if it was yesterday, she enjoys being the teacher than being a student. It just makes her feel more knowledgeable than she already is.

She yawned just thinking about all the sleep she was going to miss out on now that she was officially a ninja. "I should flunked the exam..." She muttered. "Then I could've stayed in school for another year."

Shinji smiled invisibly behind his mask, "No one would've been fooled." He pointed out drily. "You are too much like your father." He turned his attention to Sano before Soyokaze could respond, no easy thing to do considering her quick wits and sharp tongue. "What sort of missions did you get assigned when you were first promoted?" He asked calmly.

I'm sure you guys would have to catch that strange lady's cat again. It's always running away from her. Or maybe even walking dogs. Something like that." she replied in somewhat of an unsure tone.

Soyokaze scowled, "What a nusiance...." She muttered. "I trained as a ninja, not a pet sitter." She wasn't a big fan of dogs. They tended to upset her family's deer which made more work for her.

OOC: To answer Shinji's question, you are still doing mostly D rank missions, C at best. Whether you want to make that sound more impressive than it is, is up to you.

OOC: I know. I'm pretty much making her answer since she would usually explan things like that. She dislikes repeating herself so she turns the sentence to a more basic explaination.

Sano gave her attention to Shinji before she commented on Soyokaze's comment. "I haven't been getting much lately but they are most likely to give you C-ranked missions when you are considered to be an experienced Genin. But for now you'll be sent D-rank missions. Now, the real missions when you are responsible for your team members and everyone around you are when you become a Chunin." she finished with a smile.

She then turned her attention towards Soyokaze. "I once thought the same thing. To be honest, it was quite challenging for me considering the fact that I have a little phobia towards dogs." she said. Sano sighed. That day was one day she'll never forget, and a day that she looks back on and becomes glad she got a cat instead. In fact, the little kitten appears to be cuddled up and sound asleep on Sano's head. How cute!

Shinji nodded again. "Thank you for the information, Senju-san." He bowed stiffly, not really knowing what else to say.

Soyokaze looked bored and exasperated at the same time, "I could've found a way to flunk..." she muttered. Then she sighed, "But that would've been too much trouble too." She ran a hand through her fluff of blonde hair. She kept it cut pretty short because otherwise she'd have to adopt her mother's hairstyle to tame to wild mess. She ran through all the strategies she could think of for getting out of the boring, aggravating missions that were in her near future but came up unsatisfied with her answer. She sighed, "I guess we'll just have to prove ourselves as quickly as possible." She mused sourly, "Tch, this is going to be annoying..."

Internally, she filed the information about Sano's dog phobia away in case she should ever need it. She kept mental files on every ninja she'd ever encountered, but they didn't need to know that.

Neiji looked down at his hyperactive niece as she wrapped herself around him enthusiastically. Sure, he could've dodged but what was the use? She'd just keep trying, and he didn't want to spoil her day either. He weathered the hug stoically for a few moments before he disentangled himself from the little blonde girl and patted her on her head. "Congratulations, niece." He smiled at her fondly.

"Your welcome Shinji!" Sano replied politely. She gently picked up her kitten from the top of her head and laid it on her arm as she petted her with the other. Sano sighed. "Indeed. The sad thing is that it's the only way out apparently. I'll be glad once become a Chunin. Chunin exams are probably a month from now in my case." she said. Her small gray kitten purred as Sano gently petted her. Sano always adored small animals such as kittens. There was just something about them that made her happy.

((lol I just had to laugh when I saw the teams, both my characters are on the same team. Thanks Saravi, I don't think I'll be able to stick with the 'Don't talk to yourself so much' rule.))

Kaida's sea-foam green eyes blinked slowly as Soyokaze greeted her. She started to lift a hand to wave back when another girl approached them. As Soyokaze turned to speak to her Kaida let her hand drop back limply to her side. All around her milled the newly graduated students, all at least a year older than her. She vaguely caught the other girl's name, Sano, and the name of the boy who had appeared a moment later, Shinji. Well, it seemed her cousin would be preoccupied for quite a while...Kaida's fingers clenched a little tighter around the paw of the panda she held in one hand. It looked just like a stuffed animal in fact, though she knew it wasn't. She lowered her head, her emotionless eyes staring at the world before her even as her red bangs fell over them. Maybe she should go meet her teammates...She slowly stepped away from her Aunt and her husband, searching for the chakra patterns of her teammates. When she located one she didn't have to look very far to find the other. One of her pale hands brushed against a small gourd hanging from her waist.

A moment later she reappeared on a tree branch above where her male teammate was. She peered down at him and watched as he danced about with his dog, his new headband glinting from it's wrapped around his arm. Kaida's hand unconsciously went up to the headband wrapped loosely around her neck, just high enough to cover her mouth. Her fingers traced over the engraving. The sand village...Suna...home...

Kaito laughed loudly as he jumped backwards, Tenshi following right after, trying to bite into the leg of his pants, "Come on girl, you can do better than that!" He encouraged. His parents were both standing to the side, laughing at the pair's antics. They had already noticed the small but powerful source of chakra that had appeared just over their heads but they recognized it as the same pattern that the Kazekage's daughter had. A moment later and Kiba had joined in with his son's game, Akamaru quickly moving in to help Tenshi. Mitsuko only shook her head, a wide smile on her face.
