Shineji's eyes fluttered open as he finally awoke. He still didn't have enough chakra to move, sense anyone else, or talk, but at least he was conscious. He recognized the ceiling of the Konoha Hospital, so at least he knew someone had found him. Hopefully, someone had found Kaida-san as well. His side felt like it was healed, and his leg felt better, though there was still quite a bit of pain. That made sense. A clean slice was easy enough to heal, but the mostly self-inflicted damage caused by overusing his already hurt leg would probably take a bit longer. He smelled a desert wind, which meant that Kaida was almost certainly both fine and in the room.

Haruto had nothing to do for the day other than pore through her scrolls and memorize the hand symbols. She had just graduated the academy after arriving a bit late from Kirigakure’s school. Right now there was no squad for her to join and the teachers just told her to wait until the next graduate students. Haruto wanted to go on missions as soon as possible but she didn’t argue against waiting. This would be a good chance to practice learning more jutsus. The paper door slid behind her and Haruto sensed her mother standing behind her. She got up to give a customary bow. “Haruto,” Hanabi said. “You’ll wear out your eyes if you study too long. I want you to go outside and exercise.” Haruto looked up at her mother and smiled “Yes Mother.” After her mother left, Haruto put all the scrolls and books back to the bookshelf and made sure that her new room was neat and clean. She had settled in barely a month ago and was adapting to everything in Konoha. The sunshine and the view of the skies were a nice plus as everything was blurred by the mist back at her old home. Of course, there were no training grounds for her to visit as they were all reserved for squads and Haruto opted to make several laps around the village. Some training to increase her speed. Two hours later, Haruto stopped for a water break. Pulling her sleeve back, she checked her wrist watch. It was lunch time. Reaching into her weapon pouch, Haruto took out a small case of pills and popped a few blue and yellow ones into her mouth; washing them down with water. Military pills energized her and she returned back to her running. The feeling of wind biting her face wasn’t pleasant but she was already used to it.

Shikaharu jumped off of his fan as he heard Lexi make her way up the wall and used Embarrassment Jutsu. "Hey what the heck's your problem Lexi? You must have lost it woman," he said in an unenthusiastic frustration. He closed the fan as he landed onto the roof and leaned against it in one swift motion. He frowned angrily at Lexi because she aggravated him to no end even if he did have a minor attraction to her. He ruffled his hair slowly as he watched Sano walk up to Konohamaru and waved lazily, "Hey, how are you? You do know your cousin is excruciatingly troublesome right?" He placed the strap of his fan back into it's original position.

Lexi groaned when Konohamaru stopped her in the middle of using her jutsu. "Aw, c'mon sensei. Let me just get him once. Please?" She widened her eyes and pouted at him. She stooped as she looked from her cousin to the others. "I will get you eventually Shadow boy."

Nagi nodded along with what Kaori was saying. He rested his elbow on the counter and seemed kinda disappointed, but still Satoshi could handle himself. Looking up at Kaori, and managing a shy smile,"Is alright with you if go back with you to see your squad? I've got nothing better to do and I don't want to go home right now." He chuckled at what came into mind,"My father would probably give me a huge welcome back party or try to drop kick me as I walked in the front door." Nagi leaned back in his chair, placing his hands behind his head, and waited for Kaoris' reply.

He smiled when Kaori said he could tag along. Before he did anything else though, he turned to the man who had served him the ramen and paid for his, and Kaori's meal,"So one of them has a smart mouth, huh? Well then, this should be an interesting squad you were chosen to be the leader of." Nagi stood up from the stool and grabbed his katana, strapping it to his back, then picking up his other supplies,"So when are you supposed to get back to your squad anyway?" He slung the bag of materials over one shoulder and stuffed his free hand into his pocket.

Nagi followed Kaori out of the hut and thanked her for holding the curtain. When she asked about the mission, he shrugged,"It went well, it was just really long." He walked a little way's ahead of Kaori, then realized he had no clue where her squad was and blushed, slightly for his stupidity,"Um, yeah... Please the lead the way."

"That guy..do you really want to check on him that badly?" Satoshi asked, cocking his head to the side. He was worried for her to be up and about so soon, but if that's what she wanted then he could make it happen some way or another.

Kaori nodded, catching up to him. "They should be waiting at training ground 2." She looked up at the sun and grumbled, by the looks of its position, she had a good fifteen minutes to make it across town and back to her squad. "I'm not sure how tired you are, but I gotta run. I'll see you there, okay?" Kaori patted his nearest shoulder than took off. She was hardly recognizable with her speed.

OOC: Ninja is back. Hopefully he'll post soon. Thanks for your help with Lexi, Cassie. Ninja can have them back now.

The silence stretched on uncomfortably for Shinji. He hoped Kaori-sensei would return soon. He didn't like the way Kaze was eying him curiously. A curious Nara was a very bad thing for someone with a secret to keep.

Kaze was indeed intrigued at the idea of Shinji keeping something from her. She had never given his sunglasses much thought, but his tone and posture when Alex asked about them revealed to the perceptive young Nara girl that they were more than a fashion statement. But what could her friend be hiding?

Konohamaru flew up the stairs on the outside of the Hokage's tower and knocked on Naruto's office door. He was mortified that it had taken him so long to gather his squad. What if the mission was really urgent? He vowed that his genins would learn to be where they were supposed to be from now on. There were a lot of early morning training sessions in their near future.

Nagi was surprised at Kaori's speed, but quickly shook his head and focused on what he was doing. He began chasing after Kaori, not wanting to be left behind,"Hey! I may be tired, but I still have some energy left!" Nagi wasn't able to keep pace with Kaori, but she was always in his sight so he never lost here. Being worn out didn't help him very much in this situation.

Sano waited at the door patiently wondering what mission our team is getting.

Naruto looked up from his paperwork at the knock on the door. "Come in." He called out casually.

Konohamaru entered the office and bowed. "I'm sorry it took so long Naruto-sama. What is the mission?"

OOC: I'll give the rest of the team the chance to come in. Shall we just say Sano said that after this happened? lol.

Alex looked at Shinji more as the thought of ways to get his glasses off. There was the use her body approach... but something told her that might not work... plus that was more something Lexi would do. Or maybe Lexi was the answer here. It was like the mystery of what was under Kakashi's mask. But this seemed more important to her... maybe he had freaky looking eyes made of his bugs... maybe he had completely black eyes... or no eyes at all. She had to know what was under there. She sould probably concentrate on what happened during reviewing of her abilities but again this seemed more important.

Satoshi extended his hand out to Kaida, a slight frown darkened his features. A nurse popped in at the moment and was mortified by Kaida's state on the floor. The young woman was on the brink of hysterics as she lifted the genin from the ground herself and led her back to the hospital bed. "Young lady, I've been informed that your great aunt will be here soon to take you home to rest. I ask that you sit still until then and conserve your strength." The nurse sighed and her eyes darted over to Satoshi. "Satoshi-san, I heard your brother was back. How's he been?"

"Nagi? He's back?"Satoshi leapt to his feet.
"Yes, I heard from a ninja stationed at the gate that he came back into town not too long ago."
"Oye! I'm sorry, Kaida-chan, please forgive me. Nurse can you watch her until her aunt arrives?"
"Oh course."
"Thank you." Satoshi bowed then saluted playfully. "Take care, Kaida-chan." With that, he flung himself out the door and back outside.

Kaori came to a stop dead center of the training ground, surprised by how stationary the three genin appeared. "Did I miss the first group heart-to-heart or what?" She frowned, hands on her hips. "You guys could've told me, you know!"
