[[Err... I joined? 8DDD Lol, I'm not sure when you left but welcome back kenora.
R'el, a bronze rider from Ista came by the time of hatching, and it was quite fruitful. All eggs hatched a long with a white one, which was impressed by Selea's daughter. wow, nothing much happeend since I joined D:]] |
((Well, that does cover it... And Sheryn might fight to have another bronze at southern, no one want to give her any... :( meanie weyrleaders!))
|
[[LOL!! Actually R'el doesn't mind where he goes, so he believes in "first comes first serve" basis in his situation. He is kinda homeless now so he's looking for a weyr to join, and doesn't mind ^^ I'm afraid he'll just step back at the end and let others fight over him XDDD
I'm actually surprised to not have much bronze in the rp, there are now... 2 of us? XDD lol]] |
((Right... so hatching over or still goin on, i mean the festivities?))
|
[over... I guess everyone will go.... continue wht they do? <.<]]
|
{The Hatching is over. all hatched now everyone is at the tents buying berry pies and bubbly Benden wine. The harpers will be playing throughout.}
Damilae smiled as Xesuth finished the carcass. "Good. Now let's go.~" She said to the dragon, but also to Lyna and Lunair. She smiled mischieviously. "I might get to taste some Bubbly..." Selea looked at the bronze rider. "Leave? Oh, do take part in the festivities. I don't have anything to have you do...yet." She added and walked of to get a skin of Bubbly Benden wine. "...And a bubbly pie as well." she said now enjoying herself a little before she had to deal with her mixed emotions about Damilae. |
R'el sighed in relief, that was quite smooth. Now he had a weyr and a party to join, life was treating him good so far. He followed his nose and the happy crowd, soon finding a full glass to empty it in his stomach in a gulp, he got another refill along with a snack.
~I don't like when you have such images in your mind~ <Such as? I'm pretty sure I wasn't having some naughty images...?> ~Not those... The ones about the festive, I'm glad you're enjoying it but please remmeber the last time you got to taste of that wine.~ <Oh, that one my friend, was a full barrel.> Soon spotting a familiar face, he grinned widely as he stepped before Sedna, victory written all over. "Having fun, missy?" |
Senda was tasting some of the pie while sitting a little off from the main crowd, appearing heavy in thought per usual. She didn’t notice R’el till he spoke, causing her to look up with a faint blush of surprise and a small smile. Shrugging she said quietly “Enjoying the pie anyway… what about you?” She returned in her polite, formal tones. She was studying his features briefly, curious about the victory written over them.
|
"Good, actually great!" he laughed energeticly. "Well, at least my weyr problem is solved for now. Until they get tired of me that is." He chuckled.
His voice was melted away in the happy celebrating crowd, this was feeling good. How long has it been now? Since he get to be in a crowd nobody knew him at all, he was a total stranger and somehting in this was really relaxing. He wasn't questioned with curious and sad eyes, no one tried to start a curious chat to give him their wistful help offer or blessings. He was simply left on his own. A low growl came from bronze, a calming and silent understanding laying beneath. R'el smiled to himself, then looked around with curiousity; where had been that little green devil all the time? |
Sedna smiled a bit, seeming to enjoy his happiness and free manner. “I doubt they’ll get tired of you…you’ll find we’re rather hardy here…” She said with a mysterious smile, turning to glance at the window as the bronze made a noise. She seemed to enjoy the sound a moment before turning and taking the last bite of her pie. She then studied him a moment in thought, debating bringing up the race as she absently rubbed one gloved forearm which caused her to frown a little.
|
"It all depends." She chuckled and started to walk towards the festiveties with Lunair by her side. They were both happy that this day had turn into a great one, she had accomplised what she had came here for. She was going to stay a while though to watch and help the new White if she needed to step in and help. Lunair was happy thaat she could stay and watch Xesuth grow up, it was one of the few proud things that she wantted to do and she got the chance to, now.
|
"Oh I highly doubt they might not, but we'll see. I'm known as the crazy clown of the carnavale, I tend to drive people crazy." It was either the wine, or he was goofing off, but sure he was talking awfully lot. "Once I had to wake everyone by yelling like a crazy chicken in morning, running around the whole weyr with Zephira right after me. But you had to see that, I tied his left back leg to his tail, and he of course woke up furious!! He chased me all around weyr after getting rid of the rope, what a chase it was. He even learned flying almost back then, I swear he was jumping from time to time and he could stay in the air for a few seconds!! And it was a week after the hatching, oh and he bit me really hard but it was still worth it!!"
He was laughing hearfully, while Zephira rumbled softly after an annoyed snort. Apperantly R'el was oblivious of Sedna's sudden change of mood. His eyes caught glimpse of the silver haired, white rider. He waved at Lyna with a fool's handsome grin, somehow "the fool smile" suited him and made him look even more charming. |
"I am sorry,Damilae. But apparently me and Lunair had a prior engagment. I will see you later though." She said, noticeing R'el waving at her, she hugged the girl and started to walk over there with Lunair.
~you sure this is a good idea. He looks like he had to much wine.~ Lunair said to Lyna as she cocked her head slightly as she looked at him. ~It couldn't hurt, besides we are being polite.~ Lyna said as she looked up at her dragon, smmiling at her before turnning back to R'el. "Hey. That smile suits you." she said as she grinned at the man before her, ignoring Lunair ever time she nudge her a little as she told her that she was flirtting. |
“Well at least you do not allow boredom.” Was sedna’s only reply, smiling faintly. She shivered a little then, rubbing the same spot on her forearm she had earlier. She started to say something more when Lyna approached, causing Sedna to give her a warm gentle smile though worry still lurked in her own dark gaze. She glanced towards the window where Den was flying towards at her call when suddenly she bit her lip and gained an annoyed expression.
At that same instant a man came bursting through the door, dressed in all black as Sedna tended to herself and with long sleeves on his shirt. He instantly walked to Sedna and grabbed her arm roughly, saying something in a murmur in a language very foreign to one spoken anywhere near here… Sedna said something back in the same language and he shouted at her, “Who do you think you are! Dressed like some sea queen… bad as your brother” in english… before striking her across the face. Instantly her hand touched her own dagger and it was at his throat only for her to put it away as the man stepped back… unharmed but scared. “Do not speak of my brother…. I remember my…meeting with Elder and was just on my way. If you want me to avoid mentioning your little… temper I suggest you leave while I clean up any mess you have made…” Sedna spoke coldly.. In a hard sharp tone no one at the weyr would have likely heard her use before… there was something almost threatening in it…. |
"Ahahah... Probably." he said showing an amused, wide smile to Sedna.
~Ah, you're flirting.~ <No, I'm not.... wait, what if I am??!> R'el's grin grew wider as Lyna joined them. "Yeah, I hear that a lot." he said to her comment, with a flirty smile. "Since it's a draw between us in the hatching, care to join me?" he lifted his glass, meaning the wine. It was good fun, small tease, smiles, exchanged glances and more chatter and laughter then ever. But suddenly things took a different turn, Sedna drew her dagger right after being threathened by a total stranger. R'el couldn't recognise the language two spoke, but the voice was somewhat alarming in a sense. He watched the scene unfolding before him intensely, his eyes had wild glint of a feline's, watching every move of the both offensive figures. "Threathening a woman, more a dragon rider," he said to the shaken man, "is not a smart move pal." he gave him an unfriendly glare. Zehpira's annoyed growl approved his words, and with a crack, Deliah coming out of nowhere landed on her master2s shoulder, hissing wildly at the man like he actually threathened the dragonling. R'el glanced at green firelizard with a mocking lopsided smile, then looked back at the man. "See, lady is upset." Firelizard blew out a small flare to intimidate the foes of her master. |
"Well... I certainly enjoyed that. I should hope we continue to do it more often. Other than that... well, we'll just play it by year." Feng kisses him softly on the lips and snuggles in closer to him.
|
"I think the man gots the point." Lyna said as she sat down on the other side of R'el and ordered a class of wine. She smiled, taking a sip of it, listening to Lunair basicly cuss the man out, she burstted out laughing.
"Sir, if i were you i would run away as fast as you can. You just pissed off a white and she loves to bite when she is angry." She said as she tilted her glass to the man, her voice was neutral as it always got when something was wrong, basicly dismissing the man before he really got hurt. She may be a young dragon rider but even she knew not to mess with a dragon rider. She smiled down at Sedna and waved at her. "Are you alright, Sedna?" She asked the girl that seemed to be fine, Kith had fell asleep on her shoulder and she let him stay there. ~I wish i could roast him on the spot~ Lunair said as she looked at Lyna then back at the man. ~Calm done Lunair. Just let him run away in fear already.~ she said to the blueish white as she drank some more from her glass. |
Sedna had almost forgotten R’el’s presence, turning towards him as he spoke. The man said something to Sedna in that other language, causing her to nod in response as he left from fear… and something else. She sighed, watching the group a moment in silence. “He did not mean to threaten me I don’t think… His temper has always been his greatest weakness…. Thank you for your…defense…” She said with a small bow. Briefly she reached over and stroked the fire lizard’s head with a grateful smile though she seemed very uncomfortable.
Sedna looked over as Lyna spoke, nodding and saying quietly “I am alright, he’s been like that since we were children… resents my being a dragon rider I suppose…” As if that was enough an explanation for his behavior. She said nothing more, merely glancing towards a window a moment. “Lyna… thank you and thank Lunair for me, I appreciate her anger on my behalf…” She muttered softly. “If you will excuse me.. I have a meeting to attend to he reminded me off… please give the weyrwomen and the other riders my apologizes….’ She muttered softly, giving both of them a slight smile before turning and walking to the window. Giving one more request to Den she then hopped out the window, landing on his back so she could leave….heading towards the beach by all appearances…. |
"YOur welcome from the both of us. We will tell them if we run into them." Lyna said as she smiled at the girl as she watched her walk away. She couldn'thelp but thinking that something more was going on then what Sedna was letting on. She sat there staring into her glass thinking on the subject, as Lunair watched for any signs of the guy, hopping to hurt enough that he would never think of doing that to her again.
|
Damilae waved goodbye as Lyna walked away. "Okay, bye!~" she instantly became secretive in a smooth way. She slid from stall to stall until she found an unguarded stall of Bubbly Benden Wine. ....Success!!... she left the money on the stallstand and walked away swigging the fizzy sweet drink slowly.
Selea sat back by herself enjoying the Benden wine alone. People were laughing all around her, and she was glad for them. |
R'el looked after the girl curiously, not exactly satisfied with her assurance but who could argue when a woman said she was fine on her own? That would be forcing yourself on her, which usually drove females away. Bronze rider tilted his head to the small lizard, frowning after blue rider as she jumped from the window. He clicked his tongue and firelizard replied in a chirpy click. Deliah slapped her forked tongue to his face, then with a crack, she disappeared.
~Perhaps you should've followed her instead of sending that halfminded greenling.~ <In what title?> ~Since when do you mind titles R'el?~ <.... Since I'm out of wine...> "I will get some more bubbly wine." he said with a troubled weak smile, then before he walked a step away from Lyna, he turned back leaning into her. "Actually, no. That was an excuse for me to go look where Sedna went. So, feel free to come, I'll sneak behind her to see what she's upto." With that, he walked to the window, easily jumping over it as if he was jumping over a fence. And a huge bronze caught him, with a low growl, they leapt into air. ~I believe they flew towards the beach~ "Then let's find out who she had a meeting with so important!!!" he bellowed. |
Sedna sighed, ignoring it as her own dragon bombarded her with questions and resentment. Even to Den she only said she’d known him as a child and they’d never gotten along…If she was not so preoccupied she might have glanced back to see if someone was following her… but she didn’t. She simply continued to the beach till landing, a man in sea colored robes standing at the edge of the sea looking impatient.
With a quick bow of her head to show respect and a whisper of “Elder Pontius….“ she approached as the elder man who observed her dress with disdain… Pontius, it seemed, was not one who enjoyed such showy dress…or perhaps he simply didn’t like that she’d used cloth that matched the sea even better then his own robes… “You did not respond…” “Leaving the festivities without warning could cause a stir…. I did not think it would matter if I was a little late….” “You were wrong young Sedna….there is urgent news…” Pontius paused… whether for effect or because the news was genuinely negative was not yet related. He then shook his head, muttering something about the garish tongue and falling back into the language of earlier… the same that the impatient man had spoken inside. Whatever the news it caused Sedna to pale and look away, closing her eyes. Pontius approached and touched her arm, saying something… which prompted an angry response from Sedna as she turned towards him and stepped back. There were tears in her eyes and Den was asking who was dead, how, and other such questions. Sedna, currently under the angry gaze of the man had turned. Clearing her throat she spoke softer, saying “at any rate…. That makes my work even more important…” Which caused the man to say something in response that she didn’t answer… Sighing the elder man then turned and walked right into the sea… where he would shortly disappear with a splash. Sedna then sat slowly in the sand, trying to compose herself as Den nuzzled her cheek. Finally she spoke to him.. Saying ~He…was a childhood friend. It appears he was killed by mistake….I…. I’ll miss him…~ Her tone made it clear… it was not the man who’d crashed the party but someone she'd cared for deeply…. ((Hehe soon rumors should start of a farmer who was attacked by a weird scaly, vaguely humonoid creature >.>…. But struck out at the creature with a spear tipped with a dragons tooth >.>)) |
It was easy to locate a blue on a shore, what's tricky was having a great bronze landing somewhere close to a blue's whereabouts, without being noticed. But with some skill and experience, Zephira landed right behind a huge rocky cliff on the shore, so that his big body won't be spotted easily. R'el frowned as he saw a glimpse of Sedna's back, and she wasn't alone. He jumped down and hurried behind the rocks and tree trunks, movign as close as possible to the actual scene. He couldn't hear what they were talking about, but judging from looks of this stranger, he had no doubt that they were using that weird language again. He kneeled behind the tree trunk and listenned carefully, peeking out from his spot very cautiously sometimes.
Then Sedna seemed shaken with whatever man had told her, “at any rate…. That makes my work even more important…” she said. At this moment, the green firelizard appeared, landing on the rock where bronze rider was hiding behind. As she was about to give a chirp, R'el grabbed small dragon from the head and tail, dragging her down quickly trying to contain the furious small creature. "Be quiet!!" he hissed lowly, but he was biten anyway. After that, it was a sad silence. R'el peeked out again and saw the man walking into the sea, sinking in slowly. He frowned as he watched Sedna falling on sand, looking like her heart was torn apart. He sat behind the rock, leaning his back to the way girl was now. What to make about this all? A man walked into the sea, whom she had a meeting with. Deliah was sending upset, confused and angry images to her master, but he was focusing rather on this mystery in front of him. There were a few possibilities, but for now, just facts. Sedna obviously had a diplomatic connection with that sea man, whatever or whoever he was, he brought news to the girl. Which he logically assumed were bad news, they were either blackmailing girl or just giving a message. Both reasonings ended up leading to one question though, why exactly a dragonrider would have connections with such an enigmatic figure? What was their connection? A common interest? Maybe she was a spy, or forced to be spied? but why...? ~Perhaps...You're thinking way too much, the wine is surely began eating your brain.~ bronze's voice echoed softly, dipped in sarcasm. |
Den cooed at Sedna a moment longer about how it would be alright, his wing half wrapped around her. Finally she stood, her head turned away from Den a little. “I’m fine….we…will go back to the party in a moment….” She said sharply, the sound of something scraping…her nails appearing slightly longer and sharper as they left a few sharp lines on the rock she pushed up on.
Sedna put her hands in her pockets, turning to look out at the sea. Closing her eyes she sang softly for several moments, clearly a song of mourning. It sounded almost like a whale song but softer, lighter and more human, more elegant somehow to as it twisted in the strange foreign tongue that Sedna seemed accustomed to… It sounded like a funeral dirge almost in it’s tone, and when den asked she told him it was a song of mourning for her friend… Wiping away a tear she turned back, muttering a soft ‘Lets go’ and giving den a clearly forced smile she climbed onto his back as she gazed down. First her brother… Now the one man outside her family she felt close to…Now even among the people she’d left behind….she was alone… and all due to misunderstandings and another people…. Slowly den lifted off.... |
R'el looked up as flapping wings beated the air, blue dragon flew away from the beach. He stood up gazing thoughtfully after the rider, Deliah flew around R'el, finally being released. Then he turned towards the sea, jumping over the fallen trunk he was hiding behind earlier, he walked down the place where Sedna was standing just now. He looked around, his eyes noticing an unusual cut into the stone girl used as a support to stand up. He kneeled down to take a better look at it. It looked like the cuts were new, and no creature he knew could do, perhaps aside form a dragonet? But eggs were hatched only today, and since then no dragonets left weyr.
He looked on the sand, loose footprints on soft sand weren't helping. His gaze then fell on the sea, reflecting the dark sky of the young night, looking disturbed and oblivious of the events happened here. Zephira walked next to him, then he looked towards the sea too. ~It is an interesting twist, and intriguing...~ he grunted. R'el said nothng to this, it was indeed interesting. He then stood up, climbing over the bronze. "We're done here, better return before our absense is noticed by lady mystery." With that, they were already in the air, flying to the weyr from a different route so they won't be noticed. Soon, Zephira landed in a rather deserted spot, away from eyes, closer to the festive crowd. R'el patted on bronze's head, rubbing rear of his great eye briefly before leaving his side. [[HINT HINT!!! It could be fun if someone busted R'el while he's sneaking in the party form backdoor XDDD]] |
