Angel Hartz: Blood and Soul [LizzyCollinsDeArc-x-Sinspiration]

It was a cold day.. As would any day be in the dead of winter. A tall, well dressed and armored young woman stood at the edge of a village, breathing quietly, the reigns of her white Nofrenian mare, a noble creature in itself, her crystalline blue looked at the buildings, gazing about quietly at them, however as a passing woman in the village looked back in her direction she spotted the other guards, dressed similarly, but perhaps not so finely as their captain.
"They're here! Oh goodness!" The village cried, dropping her basket in shock, for she was also looking upon the carriage of the royals, particularly this one carrying the prince and the princess of Hartz itself.

The woman raised her other hand motioning with black gloved fingers for them to move into the village slowly, though she kept quiet, continuing to step through the snow quietly. This job was a conflicting one for the captain.
Evangeline was known to be fighter, she preferred combat because it was about all she knew to do right, and an escort job wasn't something she normally wanted to do, but she owed the royals, not to mention they would only order her to anyway.
However this time she had one other excuse to accept the job, one she kept to herself as her own happy little secret, not that there weren't enough mysteries to her already..

In carriage sat Prince Paxton Reynold Collins-De-Arc and the Princess Lizzy Roxmary Collins-De-Arc. Lizzy waved at the people while her brother Paxton sighed. He couldn't believe his father talked them into this. Lizzy was just glad to get out of the house. Secretly, Lizzy wanted to run off and blend in with the common people. Sadly, that was not possible. Lizzy sighed as she saw a guy that looked like the man of the dreams.

Meanwhile, Paxton looked at Evangeline and smiled at her. He has been meaning to ask her something, but it has been slipping in and out of his mind every now and then.

"Are we there yet?" Lizzy asked her brother Paxton.

"I guess we are, Liz" Paxton said as he was thinking about Evangeline for a second or two.

Lizzy sighed and waited for the carriage to stop. She wondered why they couldn't take the flying limo to this place. She didn't want to be in outside like this. Her brother just chuckled at her when she mumbled about technology.

Sinspiration 01-26-2010 12:54 AM

As they got to the center of the village Evangeline motioned one of the guards to the door as the villagers began to gather, simple motions were easy to interpret when among many people who were clamoring to see the prince and princess, however they still had to keep a distance. Evangeline herself was going about staring at people individually as though every single one were a possible suspect for an attempt at murdering or kidnapping one of the bloodline, however her stares were necessary because when looking at an individual rather than just reaching about her with her mind, she could more easily sense hostile intents or the essence of a demon.

Among the guards stood Evangeline's favorites, Kline, a rough-houser and a brawler, but surprisingly gentle when not fighting. Mertens, a relaxed magician gone swordsman, with no true passion for any single thing he turned out surprisingly well as a jack-of-all-trades, useful to have around in most situations and highly adaptive.
Then there was Rainrix, the smoker, rude, crude and supposedly worse than Kline when it came to knocking skulls, but her medical knowledge was extraordinary, not to mention it gave her access to vital points int he enemy body, making her one of the most efficient killers in the team and in spite of her attitude was no less loyal than any other royal guard.
The last prominent member, and elected doorman, was Jenkins, youngest Royal guard, also a notorious joker of the awful kind. In spite of his humorous outlook on most things he would still treat most situations with seriousness, not to mention he was more than handy with a gun, considering two were strapped to his hips, another two small-scale hand-rifles sitting across his back in a V shape, he held the door open calmly, grinning at the Prince and Princess,
"Time to face the madness, your highnessess,"

Dottie Mae Evans 01-26-2010 01:04 AM

"Oh how fun," Lizzy said as she was being sarcastic and jumped out of the carriage, "what brings us here today, Eva?"

"Lizzy, mind your matters and act like royalty for once," Paxton said as he sighed at his younger sister, "don't mind her, Eva..."

Lizzy and Paxton followed them to where they needed to go. Lizzy looked around at the towns people and smiled at them. She knew she was well liked, but she wasn't aware what was going on at this point. Only her brother kind half way what was going on. Paxton kept it from his sister Lizzy, because he didn't want to upset or worry her right now.

Paxton sighed as he was following the royal guards. Paxton was thinking of a good time to talk to Evangeline privately about something. Lizzy looked into the crowd and saw the guy of her dreams. Her eyes turned into hearts and she smiled. Then her brother whacked her on the head.

"You can meet up with you man later..." Paxton said to Lizzy in a serious tone.

Lizzy sighed and mumbled a few things under her breath.

Sinspiration 01-26-2010 01:58 AM

"Please, do not promote violence among your people, My lord." Eva stated, looking over at them as Paxton whacked Lizzy, she placed her right hand upon her hip, knuckles pressing against the armor hidden below the external jacked she wore for the sake of warmth. The woman had a stern look on her face, which was not a surprise, she had always been a tough nut to crack, anyone attempting to get close ended up sitting on a cold shoulder,
"Yeah, best to do it in private," Jenkin's chuckled, meeting a warning glare from Eva and raised his hands, "It just got a liiiiittle colder.. Please excuse me while I get my coat your Majesty.." He chuckled, backing away and trying to escape towards the Carriage, atleast until Rainrix caught him with an arm around his throat and turned ihm around immediately,
"You're wearing your coat, idiot.. All you did was piss off the captain."
"But the captain's always pissed.. Not my fault.." He replied, grumbling as he straightened himself out again,
"Cut the chatter, you're soldiers. Now straighten up, lead our Lord and Lady. Kline, take point." Evangeline commanded, taking Kline's position, the front side closest to the Prince, but kept her gaze forward, if only for a moment, she eventually looked over her shoulder,
"In spite of the more.. Traditional travel.. It is nonetheless satisfying to see your people happy and well.. Yes..?"

Dottie Mae Evans 01-26-2010 02:41 AM

"Fine, I'm sorry sis," Paxton said as he sighed and followed the guards.

"No worries, brother," Lizzy replied happily.

Lizzy wanted to take out her mini computer/cell phone, but the guards were watching her. She then sighed and wanted to be with her dream guy, Tedward H. Johnson. She missed him a lot and she also missed her personaly body guard Sam F. Hoffmen
She couldn't decide who she should or would marry. Sam was of pure royalty and Ted's father is a Technology Chief for the kingdom. She was hoping her brother would marry into royalty, that way she wouldn't have any pressures to do so.

Paxton sighed and wondered what they were going to do today. He really want to talk to Evangeline and secretly, he wanted to go out with her. He didn't care if his family approved of it or not. He just liked Evangeline like that.

It was after they'd had the chance to walk into the village some ways that they were greeted with its elder. He was a stocky little man who bowed humbly, his bushy beard brushing against the floor as he did so, although Evangeline paid him no mind, her guards doing the same, this was not their business, greeting prominent figures was up tot he royals after all,
"We welcome you to Alderac, your majesty's," He offered up, before standing straight, "Come, you must be quite tired from your trip and I am willing to bed hungry too."
"Weell I could do with some chow." Jenkins grinned, Eva staring at him again,
"We are here to escort the Prince and Princess, eating is not our priority."
"I was just sayin.. Cant hurt to have a full stomach while I'm guarding.."
"Oh it is quite alright we had imagined there would be a number of the Royal guard along also, so we compensated and prepared extra food." The elder lead them calmly to the large home that was his own, there was already a long table with seats prepared and arranged. dishes out, but nothing on the plates as of yet, it was all dependent on when they wished ot eat,
"We do not have a great deal to show you within the village unfortunately, but you are most welcome to inspect it as you please. We are honored that you would visit so humble a place," The elder bowed again, Joker snickering,
"Humble.. Or just very very b-" Before he could finish, Rainrix immediately clamped her hand over his mouth and rubbed her knuckles roughly into his head as she held him under arm,
"Are you TRYING to get under the captain's skin today..?!" She hissed, releasing her hand from his mouth,
"Nope.. But getting under her sheets would be-" Again he was cut off as Rainrix cracked a hand over the back of his skull,
"Behave, you friggin' moron..!"

Dottie Mae Evans 01-26-2010 04:46 AM

Paxton sighed and looked at the elder. He knew his sister's stomach was doing the talking for her now. He had to remind Lizzy that they were not here to eat. Lizzy sighed and wanted to see her dream guy(s).

"Why couldn't Sam come along?" Lizzy asked Paxton.

"Because, he had a big medical exam today," Paxton replied, "and don't you dare ask me about Ted."

Lizzy sighed and wanted to cry. She knew her brother didn't like Ted and he wasn't crazy about Sam because of the way he looked. Lizzy had an idea of running away, but the last time she did that she almost got in trouble... deep trouble.

"We're here for business," Paxton said to the Elder, "now what seems to be the trouble?"

Lizzy sighed and took out her mini computer/cell phone while no one was looking. She texted Ted and Sam at the same time. Paxton noticed Lizzy using his gadget and he sighed.

"Lizzy, put that away," Paxton said, "we're here for business, you can text your men later."

Lizzy sighed and mumbled at Paxton as she put it up. She just wanted to get home and see her men in other words. She missed them so much. She couldn't decide which one will be her boyfriend.

((Good night. Catch ya' tomorrow.))

"My lord, if I may.." Evangeline turned to him, bowing when she did so and keeping her head lowered, "I do not wish to question your knowledge of your purpose here, but I was informed that this is simply a cordial visit, being seen by your people is a way to invigorate their faith in the royal family. As such your business here is simply to be among your people.." She explained, standing straight, and looking to the elder,
"As such, a meal with them could be considered your business."
"Aye, the lass is right there, M'lord." The elder man chuckled, "Are you not used to these visits yet? We don't have any problems that need solvin at this moment, if we did we would've sent a representative to yer fathers keep."

"Face it, Prince Paxton," Mertens chuckled, patting Paxton on the shoulder once in a friendly manner, "Yer here to kick back, relax an' enjoy yerself." He smiled, raising his right hand as it glowed a soft pink before he kissed the palm and blew across it towards a number of young women, small lovehearts of light fluttering through the air and pattering against some of them like a loving rain, which resulted in a number of swoons,
"Perhaps you yourself have a little something you'd wanna do, given free time away from all those castle duties, ah..?" He winked, grinned then turned his attention to the princess, with a flourish, he bowed to her offering her his hand,
"Might I have de honor of escorting you?"
"Mertens, do not be over friendly, they are Royalty. You are a Royal Guard. Know your place." She stated harshly, though Mertens only grinned, raising his hands in a defensive manner,
"Of course, of course, but as a Royal guard is it not the duty to escort her upon her wishes, no?"
"Ugh, you men, always pushing it." Rainrix rolled her eyes, punching Jenkins once in the head before he made another wise-crack,

Dottie Mae Evans 01-27-2010 12:11 AM

"Ok, fine," Paxton said as he sighed, "I guess we'll relax... lead the way elder."

"Uh..." Lizzy said to Mertens as she was unsure of him.

Lizzy didn't want to hurt Mertens feelings, but she wasn't into him like that. She really wanted Sam to be with her on this trip. She liked her personal body guard more than she liked the Royal Guards. Lizzy just sighed at Mertens.

"Just show me to the food," Lizzy said to Mertens with a slight smile.

Paxton nodded and he followed the Elder to the table where the food was. While walking there, Lizzy looked around and smiled happily. She was still sad that none of her dream guys were with her though. Paxton smiled at sister and hugged her.

"No worries, you'll see Sam when you get back," Paxton said to Lizzy and then turned to Evangeline, "Eva, I want to talk to you, alone when we get a chance..."

Sinspiration 01-27-2010 12:33 AM

"Marvelous, come come, sit, relax, the food will be ready in a short while," The elder motioned to the table, presenting the extra places for the bodyguards. Mertens had went with Lizzy but before he could take his seat at her side, Rainrix grasped him and Jenkins, putting them both at the seats slightly further way, before they could protest she glared at them in a manner visible to only them, so much so that they sat down, faces going rather pale before Rainrix herself sat down beside Lizzy and sighed, covering her face,
"Why couldn't I be lucky as you? You've got guys to be infatuated over.." She stared darkly at Mertens and Jenkins as they mocked her behind her back quietly but then started acting innocent, "I have punching bags.. Soft, squishy, man-sized punching bags.."
"Please do not be upset with them." Kline spoke up suddenly, sitting across from Rainrix, one seat further down, leaving the very opposite space for the captain, Evaline. Kline smiled, "They may be.. Difficult.. But their hearts sit in the right place."
"How else do you think they've lived so long?" Rain rolled her eyes, shaking her head at the same time.

"My lord..?" Evaline looked at Paxton, blushing slightly when he mentioned that he wanted to speak with her alone, she could feel the warmth in her cheeks and bowed her head to him, "As you wish, my lord, if anything has been done to upset you, I assure you that I will find a way to correct it," she mentioned in her usual professional manner, clearly unaware herself that her love was not unrequited.

Dottie Mae Evans 01-27-2010 01:08 AM

"You don't want to be as lucky as me, Rain," Lizzy said as she sighed, "I have my eyes set on two guys and I hadn't decided which one will be mine forever."

Lizzy and Paxton were already seated near each other. Paxton was next to Evangeline. He was hoping the meal was over without early, that way he could talk to her alone. He wanted to pop that relationship question to Evangeline and hopefully she wouldn't reject him. He was kind of worried about that. Lizzy finished her meal quickly.

"May I be excused to the technology garden?" Lizzy asked the elder.

Lizzy really wanted to text Sam and tell him to come over here. She wanted to meet up with him and hang out. Paxton sighed and couldn't do much about his sister. He wanted her to stay seated and enjoy the meal with the rest of them.

"That is up to the elder," Paxton said as he sighed.

Sinspiration 01-27-2010 01:44 AM

"Bleh trust me, you'd be dying to have two men to deliberate over rather than having two men you're deliberating outright skinning alive and living inside them like a tent," She replied, considering smoking a cigarette, but realized she was in a stranger's home and so kept her cigarette's pocketed, she could have one later.
The meal was well enjoyed by all involved, however Kline appeared disinclined to eat, it was an odd feature of the man, he would join at a dinner table, but he would not eat and would not drink, on the road he would simply eat parts of his rations and drink from a water flask. It was supposed that it was part of an internal paranoia, that something may be poisoned, and that if it ever proved to be so, he would at least be alive to act in revenge, not that it had happened during his service to the king, but his previous master had died because of his carelessness regarding poisoned food.

"Oh she is quite welcome to it," The Elder nodded, Mertens standing up to offer himself as Escort but Rainrix immediately spot before he could,
"Well then your highness, lets go to it, I need to call my own family anyway." Rainrix stood up, pushing her chair under the table and bowing to the Elder,
"It was quite delicious, thank you." She then offered her hand to Lizzy, simply to help her up, "Your prince awaits, hm?"

Eva calmly folded the cloth she had used to clean her lips. She was glad that she didn't use lipstick or it would have been horribly smudged, fortune favor that her lips were naturally tinted. She eventually stood, pushing the chair under aswell then turned to Paxton, bowing her head,
"You wished to converse. My lord, now is as good a time as any, shall we go?" She asked, prepared ot follow him, if he were to lead her anywhere.

Dottie Mae Evans 01-27-2010 04:49 AM

"Ok, Rain," Lizzy said as she smiled at Rain and followed her to the Technology Garden.

Meanwhile Paxton smiled and got up. He pushed his chair into the table and thanked the Elder for the wonderful meal.

"Let's go to the rose garden," Paxton said as he smiled at Evangeline.

Paxton lead Evangeline to the Rose Garden and then he sat down on a bench and smiled happily. He finally had the guts to tell her that he likes her.

"Eva," Paxton said as he smiled, "I want you to be me lady. In other words, I want to go out with you. I'll give you some time to think about it."

Lizzy followed Rain to the Technology Garden and smiled as she sat down near a laptop and she turned it on. She texted her friend Sam and told him to met her here. She also told him to call her when he gets here as well.

"When Sam calls, do you think you can guide him in here, Rain?" Lizzy asked Rain as she smiled happily.

((I'll reply to your newest post when I log on next. :D))

Sinspiration 01-27-2010 09:31 AM

Eva followed Paxton quietly, staying rather silent and kept herself stood when he sat down. The woman's stern face seemed to fade when the Prince proposed a relationship. She wasn't sure how to react to this, a part of her was elated, it had been everything she'd dreamt of once she realized she was in love with him a year after the hing had brought her to the castle, but then.. The king.. traditions.. Laws.. She remembered them thoroughly. Although she had a chance with Paxton, it would mean Lizzy would be forced to marry into royalty, slimming down her numbers and her choices.. At the same time if Lizzy chose some-one else, Paxton would be forced into a marriage of royalty..
Evangeline lowered her head, closing her eyes for a moment as behind her lips she gritted her teeth. How could she deny her prince though..? Could she forgive herself for saying no simply to preserve the royal traditions..?
"My Lord.." Eva started, placing herself down upon her knee and bowing her head further, "It is not.. We can not.. What would your father think..? I am, ultimately, of unknown heritage, likely not one worthy of your hand.."

"Hm? Yeah its easy enough, this village ain't fantastically huge or anythin'," Rain nodded, pulling a pack of cigarettes from her pocket and placed one between her lips as she flipped up a phone of her own, running through the numbers until she found the number for her family. She clicked the accept button and held the phone to her ear, but frowned,
"We are sorry, but this line is currently disconnected."
"The hell..?" Rainrix raised a brow, staring at her phone, "Tch.. Maintenance.. Typical.."

Dottie Mae Evans 01-27-2010 07:50 PM

"I no wonder care what my father thinks," Paxton said as he sighed, "My father doesn't decide who I marry. All the princesses so far stink around here. My sister won't marry into royalty either, so why should I?"

Paxton sighed as he knew he was going to be rejected. He really loved Evanegline and wanted to be with her. He didn't care what anyone would say or think. He knew what his sister would say, but he didn't care about her at this point. His heart was about ready to break at this point. He didn't know what else to say or what else to expect.

Meanwhile, Lizzy got a call from Sam and she smiled happily.

"Rain, Sam is outside the door," Lizzy said as she smiled, "lead him in, please..."

Lizzy smiled happily and waited for Sam to come into the Technology Garden. She was happy to see Sam. She really liked him and she had feelings for Ted too. Honestly, her father would rather have Lizzy marry Sam because of his semi-royal status. Paxton doesn't like Sam though because of the way he looks. You see, Sam wears thick black shades and long sleeve shirts, a coat at times, and gloves. Sam has light senstivity issues and a skin condition that basically makes the sun his worst enemy. Paxton thinks Sam is a weirdo and he doesn't like weirdos around his sister, but Sam is a tough fighter and a good body guard.

Lizzy patiently waited for Sam to enter the Technology Garden.
