Can You Sleep In a Moving vehicle?
Lately, I just noticed since I was little that no matter what vehicle I am in....I can't go to sleep.
Unless I was on it for more than a day, I can't sleep in a car, train, plane, etc. that is moving. My body won't let me apparently XDD anybody else? or can all of you actually sleep on them? |
I can sleep fairly easy in a car but that's mostly from being exhausted and not exactly bored out of my mind. Though, I hate when I fall asleep and don't realize how long I've been out - sometimes it's only a few minutes, other times it's like an hour.
I can only sleep if I'm tired, but that doesn't really have anything to do with it being a vehicle. If I'm tired enough I'll sleep anywhere, but if I'm not tired I have no chance of sleeping anywhere. Cars have a tendency to make me tired though, I think that's because they relax me, so I d have a pretty high chance of falling asleep in a car, especially if I have the whole back seat to myself. xD
ha ha! lucky! sometimes when my family travels, I'll be the only one awake, so I get lonely sometimes XP
but as long as I bring enough mangas now, I'll be fine XDD |
I tend to fall asleep in a moving vehicle. In cars I will lay back and fall asleep if i'm tired. It's not very deep though. I'm scared of hights, so I have to be really tired to fall asleep. I haven't been on a train, that I can remember. I can fall asleep on a bus the same as a car, on long trips.
meh........i think i can't fall asleep in vehicles because I'm afraid that if I fall asleep, something bad will happen XP
I can, but it is hardly comfortable. I tend to wake up when the vehicle slows down, like on an exit ramp off a highway or if it has to break for something. I also tend to get a kink in my neck whenever I sleep in cars and the likes.
The only time I can't sleep is if my brother is there. He will poke you to see if you're awake or half-scream your name... |
I really have some sleeping issues. I can't sleep in a moving vehicle. I once fell asleep in a train. I had been almost two days without sleep so I guess my body thought it didn't have a choice.
It's sometimes really hard to sleep at night. But yeah, I have medication. haha. |
I can easily fall asleep in vehicles, but I can't sleep when a window is open. Which to me, is quite unusual, considering I can usually sleep through just about anything . . Haha~
I love sleeping in the car. Especially when we're drivng for a long time.
I can usually fall asleep in a moving vehicle if I am really super tired.
Sorta. Not very well. I can't sleep on planes either, which really sucks when you're on a thirteen hour flight. x.x
If I'm extremely tired I can. Otherwise, I can never fall asleep in a car, it's too uncomfortable. |
When I was little I couldn't sleep in a car. I would sit for hours and daydream, or stare out in the air. My parents would always be surprised to see me staring at them, while my sisters would sleep soundly. Even if we have to drive all day! I would just stare it all away~ But today I can sleep, if I'm tired enough, or bored. Driving a long time makes me sleepy too, and I tend to sleep very deep. But I'm tired when I wake up x_x Guess I don't sleep that well in a car. But I never dream, when driving, which is weird, since I always remembers my dreams, and when I don't remember my dreams, I usually sleeps better, 'cause all I get is nightmares that scares me from falling asleep right after I wake up.
Twisted Insanity - Not even with pillows and a blanket? It tends to help me =3 Feels like I'm in my bed, on my pillow and under my blanket. But it's such a bother to bring in the car XD |
Vompire: Not really, pillows and blankets help a little bit, but not much. |
Yes.. if i am really tired of course...like if we are going for like 3 hours or more.. ill fall asleep sooner or later.. i get bored :)
No I somehow can not sleep in a moving vehicle even at night and usually its just during the day when it is impossible for me to fall asleep. I can't explain it. It's just how I am.
I'm not able to sleep in a moving vehicle. I tend to get sick if I do fall asleep.
oh rly? I admit I never got sick before XP
In a car, I can manage sleep if I'm really tired or just hella bored. But I can never sleep in a plane. Wish I could though.
I can. I actually find it kind of soothing, if it's not too bumpy of a car ride and I can't rest my head anywhere. I've never been on a train and the last time I was on a plane was like... A long time ago. D;
ha ha! I have to travel in a plane pretty much 2 a year now because of college and family XP
Sleeping.
I sleep in cars all the time. It would be terrible if I couldn't. D: That's the only way I can deal with car trips that are hours long, by sleeping all or most of the way. I just get so bored. Generally, before a long trip where I'm not the one driving, I'll stay up all night or at least as long as I can, then sleep the entire time. I really hate long car trips. And I've never been on a plane or train ride that was long enough to sleep on. But if they were long trips I'd sleep on those too, might as well. You can even get bedrooms with beds on long train rides, something I've considered doing next time I travel far on my own because I feel so iffy about flying lately.

I have slept in a thousand buses. That's why i never reach my destination on time. I always pass the station unconscious. Then i wake up and find myself somewhere i didn't wanted to be. Some of it is good. Now i know a lot of places in my city, even if i don't really know how to get to them. And, even if i'm lost, i'm not afraid, because lost is to me like the usual state i must be. If you find me someday on the street you can point me the right direction with complete certainty that i don't know where the f**k i'm going.

I always fall asleep, ugh.
I can't keep my eyes open in a car unless it's a short distance or I'm driving. Which is why I'm a little worried about carpooling this semester. o__e; |
