Yep I can. Haven't done so in a while, but I remember going on charter buses for out-of-town school trips in the 6th grade. Sleeping on them was awesome!

Only if i'm really really tired. And i mean on the point of exhaustion. Otherwise, not a chance. Due to an expereience some years back, i have since found it impossible to sleep during transit, for fear of accidents happening.

I sleep best in a buss. The humming sound inside actually helps me fall asleep. But if someone I dont know is sitting next to me I cant do that. I'd be worried that I might lean against their shoulder or do something else that's embarrasing.

Trains, however are usually too noisy for sleeping.

I used to sleep in anything that was moving. I never figured out why... When I was a kid, I'd sleep in the back of our truck we had (we kept a campershell on it so I wouldn't have to ride upfront squished between my parents).

Then when I was a teenager, I used to sleep on the bus going to school. Heard I missed a really massive accident on the highway cuz I slept through it (not the bus I was on, we passed the accident). Didn't find out about it til I got to school... Sometimes on the way home I'd sleep then too, but usually not since I'd sleep through the school day... *was a bad student that got good test scores*

It wasn't until I started driving for work that I got broken on the moving vehicle=sleep thing... If you ever wanna break yourself of sleeping in a car, deliver pizza for one of the big companies. It's really good money and you'll never sleep in a car again (or want to eat pizza for that matter). It's also great customer relations experience. You don't get that kind of experience just anywhere, you gotta be delivering something that's late, messed up, or otherwise ruined to grumpy drunk people that can't remember that they ever ordered the food but still wants it for free...and will find any reason at all to get it for free... ^_^

It's really hard for me to fall asleep in a moving vehicle. I can't easily curl up and get comfortable, and when I actually do fall asleep, I wake up with a killer pain in my neck >.<. A couple years ago when I was leaving CA from my Senior Trip, I could only fall asleep on the bus for about an hour or so. But when I got home, I crashed in bed, and didn't get up until around three in the afternoon (I got back at the school waiting to get picked up around five in the morning or so. And during the whole trip, I only got a little bit of sleep). But I'd basically have to be dead tired to actually get some good sleep in a moving vehicle.

I can~! I get bored eventually so :3
I decide to sleep xD well I'm asking about being in a vehicle for a long period of time (2hrs+)

I find it really easy to fall asleep in a car on a rainy night, haha

AomiArmster 01-30-2010 10:09 PM

i fall asleep the quickest in a moving vehicle

Lost_Ninja9213 01-31-2010 01:43 AM

We always drive for at least 11 hours on road trips, so I always end up sleeping, mostly when its during the day. once it gets dark, i end up staying awake with my parents. But having contacts makes my eyes hurt after sleeping cuz im too lazy to take them out....which is pretty bad, actually...

I can sleep in a moving vehicle, but to do so I have to be really, really, really tired and when I wake-up, I always feel cramped all over my body and more sleepy than I did before I went to sleep. I hate it.

TheLupusFaerie 01-31-2010 04:21 AM

Yes! I can! I rather like it usually - Now.. reading is another story, but sleeping - That I can do - LIKE A BABY! I've passed my bus stop before because of it. :P

Hint 01-31-2010 04:40 AM

I can't, unfortunately. Any type of moving vehicle - buses, cars, even planes - give me motion sickness, which is especially lame because I can't even read in a vehicle. The only moving object I can sleep in is a boat.

Sakubo 01-31-2010 10:16 AM

I can fall asleep in a car or a bus only if I'm really exhausted if I'm just a little tired then I'll only sleep for a couple of minutes and only if I'm on the side of the windows or have some to lean on same with the plane but I've never went on a train so yeah.

RisikaFox 01-31-2010 12:57 PM

I can sleep just about anywhere, even standing up if I have a wall or something to support me. Hell, I nearly slept through Halloween 2. xD

Raccoon_Chronus 01-31-2010 01:00 PM

... i pass out when i'm in my car o.o
that's why i have a motercycle.. so i wont pass out lolz
truthfully i can even sleep standing up o.O it's weird

YamiSora 01-31-2010 06:57 PM

aww I wanna a motorcycle, I think their sexy ;DD
(I think the manga Mars influenced meh, if anybody has ever read that XP)

Kole_Locke 01-31-2010 07:30 PM

Depends on how much room is available and how bumpy the ride is along with the temperature in the vehicle is. It also depends on exactly how tired I am. Long rides can wreck havoc on your nerves and make you restless and bonkers as shit, or it will exhaust everything out of you.

Voe 02-01-2010 02:53 AM

I can easily fall asleep in a car so long as I'm lying down in the back, or something. I can't sleep sitting up for the life of me and on those 10+ hour flights, it gets damn irritating.

Everytime, specially when there's an extra blanket around.

Leerah 02-04-2010 01:43 AM

I can kind of sleep anywhere. A moving vehicle is fairly easy for me to fall asleep in. If I'm in a car and I know who's driving then I can call asleep easy, unless I'm the one driving of course! xD
Um, if I'm on a bus and I have my friends with me, I'll usually tell one of them to tell me when I'm near my stop or when they're about to get off so I can wake up.

I don't really know what other moving vehicles I could be on, since I've never been on a boat[[but I'm sure I could fall asleep on that too.]]
I fall asleep all the time at school.

Nissa 02-04-2010 01:56 AM

I could fall asleep in the middle of skydiving. =3

I used to be an insomniac believe it or not but now I can get to sleep really easily. It doesn't matter where. In a car is especially easy, something about it relaxes me.

YamiSora 02-05-2010 02:29 AM

ha ha skydiving? XDD that'd be awesome....though kinda deadly O3o

fun fact: you know that when you sky dive you don't breathe air with your mouth or nose?
air actually comes in and out of your skin pores....i believe, thast what I heard anyways

Nissa 02-05-2010 03:51 AM

If that's true YamiSora, then that is the most awesome thing ever.:D

Lacquer 02-05-2010 04:28 AM

If I'm not the one driving, and I have a pillow and blanket? Oh yeah. I'm out like a light. I usually survive maybe an hour awake, then I'm gone.

Now the question is, do I sleep because it's a moving car, or to avoid car sickness. >_>;
