I used to go to sleep on the school bus to and from school and whenever we took trips that lasted over an hour until I got older. Now it's kinda hard for me to go to sleep in a moving as I don't want to miss out on any sights.

I can sleep in a car or a plane. I can read in a plane, but not in a car.

lightkanna 02-06-2010 01:47 AM

I can because I am comfortable with my family and it was when my father had a late night job. Now we don't have that since a year ago. xD But I use to fall asleep at 4 or 6 when we were driving back to our house after we were done with cleaning. :D

I can sleep in a moving car it's just not a very deep or relaxing sleep.

I can sleep in a car provided no one is sitting in the backseat with me, so that I can spread out across the seats. If I have to sleep with my head leaning on something sideways, it's extremely uncomfortable.

I can sleep in cars, but it's not restful at all. I also have trouble sleeping on planes or buses because I can't lie down. Though, most recently, I was in the car for a six+ hours road trip, and I had taken something to help me sleep the night before, but it never wore off, and I was zonked the whole day. I wound up falling asleep sitting up in the passenger seat for a good... almost hour. I was amazed, especially since loud, happy music was blaring the entire time. xD

I actually have always been able to sleep in vehicles. Planes, especially. Cars, if I'm going anything longer than 30 minutes, I've been known to pass out, easily, later at night, or later in the day.
This, sadly, also applies even when I'm driving. I have to coax myself a lot to stay awake, sometimes..

I can sleep in a moving vehicle. If I'm tired enough I can sleep anywhere.

Jade Hitachiin 02-10-2010 10:26 PM

I have loads of trouble sleeping in moving vehicles but it's the only way I can make it on a long trip without getting motion sick. I have to stretch out to be able to sleep.

Fashion 02-10-2010 10:28 PM

Easily, I can fall asleep anywhere really, haha.

Kristyjnh 02-10-2010 10:41 PM

I cannot fall asleep in moving vehicles. I've tried, but I can't. Not that I've ever gone a REALLY long way, though. Just because it's never happened, doesn't mean it wont.

Captain Howdy 02-10-2010 10:52 PM

Indeed I can. If i'm tired enough, the gentle vibrations of the vehicle will lull me to sleep.

It's the other people in the car who'd prefer that I don't sleep... cause I snore.

I have always been able to sleep in a car, when i was little my mom would put us in the car and drive us around till we fell asleep, but this was on Guam when all you had to do was drive around the island. Now i can sleep in the car, so it's nice when it's a long drive and you aren't driving.

Pandur 02-10-2010 11:46 PM

I have no problem sleeping in moving vehicles. I never had. : P
Although, I'm a pretty deep sleeper. I can sleep through pretty much anything. xD
Unless, I'm not fully asleep. <.<
But usually when I'm in a car for a long time I sleep because I get overly bored, and there's nothing else to do. (;

Jade Hitachiin 02-11-2010 12:06 AM

I used to be the same when I was tiny. My parents would have to drive with me in the carseat until I went to sleep otherwise I'd be up all night.

Skullushka 02-11-2010 12:29 AM

As long as I know who's driving, sure. Otherwise, no. I'm too paranoid to fall asleep when a stranger is driving me. I suppose I have trust issues.

oh yea, thats another problem on why I can't sleep.....it REALLY depends on whos driving if I can even shut my eyes! XP

Sundey 02-11-2010 12:51 AM

When I was little I was able to fall asleep in the car fairly easily, but because my brother would play pranks on me while I slept, I made sure to keep myself awake, which would be done usually by playing little games in my head, and counting the lines on the road, which has unfortunately stayed with me into adulthood. And now, I can only fall asleep in a car if I haven't slept for like 2 days, and haven't had any coffee or sugar to keep me up, and I also have to be around people I trust, if there's someone I don't know well, I'm not able to fall asleep.

WhiteRiver 02-11-2010 01:00 AM

more easily than in a still one.. depends on where I am though. If I'm in the front seat of a car - I tend not to fall asleep.

Seph Lonehart 02-11-2010 01:04 AM

I can

I can easily fall asleep in a moving vehicle buckled in ect. The real secret is staying asleep afterward.

No sharp turns, keep the motor running, and hopefully come to slow stops.

(Works with little kids all the time)

I can fall asleep in a car! But when I wake up I get really bad motion sickness....

sailor star rainbow 02-11-2010 02:07 AM

I can fall a sleep in all most just about any car. if I'm in my mom's van if we are in for more then 3 hours I will falll sleep. same with my dad's car and my opas I rarely fall sleep in my big sister's car. only in high school I fell sleep in her car about 2 are 3times. she knows I love she knows I like starbucks coffe a lot it keeps me up.

juniper_silver 02-11-2010 04:07 AM

That's weird, I think that it's easier to fall asleep in the car for me. I do get sick if I try to read in the car though, which really sucks for long trips.

Synthetika 02-11-2010 04:44 AM

I have a hard time sleeping in any type of moving vehicle unless I can lay all the way down, sitting up and trying to sleep just doesn't work for me its too uncomfortable! even if I can lay down in like the backseat or something its really hard for me to get to sleep and i constantly wake up so I tend to not sleep in moving vehicles even if i am exhausted
