Blue Moon Academy(Accepting, Lit)
‘Blue Moon’ Academy is not well known for its sports programs, nor is
it known for its fine art or theatre. If a person was to hear of ‘Blue Moon’ Academy it was for one of two reasons. Killing or protecting they learn to take out their target with precision and ease. If a person was to hire one of these students they would have to first go to the ‘Death and Protection’ offices and submit an application, the office would then contact the Dean at ‘Blue Moon’ and the Dean would then look at a list of ready and able bodied students. A tall woman with long black hair and matching black feathered wings
stood behind a tall podium before the entire school. “Another year begins today.” She began. This was Ramnakua Enal Daltize, also known as the Dean. “Most of you know the rules, but for those newer students here they are. There is to be absolutely no fighting in the halls, save that for the sparring rooms only.” Her blood red eyes scanned the large gym as she looked into the crowd. “I would like to see each and every one of you here today graduate and become some of the best of your professions, so please…don’t make me have to kick you out because you decided to fight in the halls with someone over something trivial.” She grinned, her pointed fangs flashing in the fluorescent lighting. A few students laughed nervously while looking amongst themselves. Chuckling the woman shook her head. “Now please, have fun, make friends…and do your homework.” With that she smirked lightly before stepping down. |
As soon as the welcoming ceremonies were finished, Atreas stood and began making his way towards the door. Once or twice, someone called to him in greeting, and he responded with a simple nod of his head. He really had no desire to talk to anyone ... unfortunately, he knew it was only a matter of time before someone decided to talk to him.
-- Aleana watched the students leave with a small smile. It was good to see them back again. The school always felt so .... lonesome without them to fill it up. |
Ora looked at her watch briefly, as she had done over thirty times in the last twenty minutes. She couldn't help but feel jubilant at the start of the new school term, and hardly noticed that she was shifting her feet as she helped direct the flow of students from the main auditorium and into the hallways. She loved the smell - the cottony scent of fresh clothes, the woodchip aroma of new pencils, and a sweet yet clean smell of individuals who showered that morning as they walked by.
She recognized a few of the students as they walked by, ones she had taught in previous years, a few that were in her classes again. Shifted feet. A watch check. Pretty sure she had seen Atreas as he walked by (out of the corner of her eye) she tried to wave and say hi, yet the boy had slipped into the crowd without a sound. Ah, well, She decided, He's in my first period class, according to my syllabus. I can say welcome back then. |
Aubrey watch as the students slipped in and out of the crowds. She began scanned the crowds for the person she was looking for. A few people came and walked up beside her, they smiled, and greeted her, asked how she was, and than went on their marry ways. Finally after walking a few more feet she had saw what looked to be the back of his head . Aubrey ran up beside her older brother while bumping into a few people. “ If I didn’t know better, I would say your hiding from me,” her eyes brow raised as she stated this.
Alexzander smiled as he walked to his Politics, Advanced class. His eyes held a small twinkled, he loved the first day of school. The younger kids always confused and had no ideal where they were going, seeing all his friends from last year that he hadn’t talked to over the summer, and his favorite part was the energy everyone gave off. It was the kind of energy that only appears when school starts. He himself gave the same felling off. He notice his younger step-sister by him and smiled at her. “ Why would I be hiding from you? Don’t you have a class to be getting to,” he asked her with his eyebrow raised. “Well yes,” She relied while trailing off. Alexzander gave her a questioning look. Aubrey looked away and her check heated up. “I forgot were it is,” she mumbled. Alexzander couldn’t help but laugh at his sister, it was cute how she had a natural blush spread a crossed her face. “Fine I walk you there since its close to my class,” he said looking at her. Aubrey (still not looking at him) mumbled a what, Alex thought sounded like a 'thank you.' |
Chiyako sat silently throughout the Dean's speech as well as the rest of the opening ceramonies. This was her fourth year at Blue Moon Academy, and as such, her fourth time hearing the speech. It hadn't changed much year to year so she didn't really feel the need to pay much attention. When they were dismissed Chiyako stood and walked to her class alone. She didn't have many friends, though she was a kind person at heart - mostly. The demon that she knew she was sometimes gave her a bit of a mean streak. Not that she liked it.
Looking at her schedule she saw that her first class was Dance with Ms. Coralee Coryth. Since this was here first year in dance class so she had never actually met Ms. Coryth, though she had heard she was a kind teacher and very good at dance. She sighed and tucked her schedule away. Hopefully the other students in her class were nice too. She'd like to get to know at least one person this year. ---------- Lounging in his chair, Rodán watched the crowd of students during the opening ceramonies. Most of the students, even the new ones who really should have been paying attention, weren't. Not that that was anything new. Same thing happened at every school. When everything was wrapped up he pounced out of his chair to help direct some students to their classes. His first class of the day was Language 100, meaning he was about to meet the new freshmen. He grinned and began to get all excited. He enjoyed being one of the first to greet the freshmen; new minds to pick and mold. Lots of them tended to be quiet and shy during their first few weeks but most of them eventually warmed up to the school and its staff. The students who were outgoing from the get-go were the most interesting. He always looked forwards to how they would turn out. |
.Ah yes, another new year at school..Another year closer to being another year older... Ashtiri made her way through the crowd of old and new students to her first class. She was glad Dance was first period because that would make for a good day, or at least it should. The entire last year, Ashtiri only made two friends. One whom ended up leaving the school and the other who had died in a tragic accident on the school grounds..One student went on a rampage to kill..Ashtiri's friend was unfortunate enough to loose his life. As Ashtiri stepped into the classroom, she noticed some faces that were in her classes last year. Too bad she had never really got to know them..Oh well, life goes on. She proceeded to drop her bag in a locker and start stretching along side one of the far walls, completely emotionless..She was still dreaming of sleep.. |
"ATREAS! You bastard!!! Don't go and ignore an old pal!" Pushing(more like shoving) his way through the throng of annoyed students near him, Keith took a running jump and aimed a playful flying kick by Atreas's head. "How was your summer?! I see you did not take the time to go get a good tan," Keith laughed ",it's ok, I didn't either. That and garlic would be the end of me." Walking alongside Atreas, Keith sported a wide grin and waved to any other passerby. "Hey! Ashtiri!" he yelled as he spotted his classmate. Calling out the names of several other students who were in the same year as him, Keith finally calmed down enough to use an indoor voice. "Sooo," he said, leaning in at Atreas ", what classes do you have this year?" Shaking his head, Keith added ",if your in my classes again then please go easy on me this time--I haven't fully recovered from that blow you gave me in that last match." That was a joke as his bone had healed but he didn’t want to go through reconstructing it again. Rubbing his arm absentmindedly, Keith hummed to himself. This was his year! He was finally elite! The schoolwork would be harder but he’ll enjoy flaunting his position and getting the extra benefits that came along with it. Like how no freshman will challenge him when he cuts in on the lunch line ever again. Keith frowned. Wait, this couldn’t be the only bonus. Ah, nevermind, he can think over it at some other time. |
Not far behind Keith a boy with auburn hair jogged up to walk beside
the upper classmen, just on the opposite side of Atreas. "Hey," He grinned, his golden eyes shifting closed before opening once more. "Oh hello Keith...heard you got Elite, good job." He continued to grin before looking back at Atreas, "They stuck me in advanced classes again this year so I should be in a few with you." Blinking a few moments he saw his class room fast aproaching. "Sorry guys, I gotta get into my Politics class....they stuck me in advanced. Should be so fun." The sarcasm in his voice was more than evident. |
Atreas' eye twitch, but he ignored Keith. He'd gotten used to it over the years. The boy just couldn't get the hint that he wanted to be left alone. He was also kept from replying by Tray's appearance, causing his eye to twitch again. Between the two of them, he practically never got a moments peace.
"Work hard," he told Tray before heading forward once again. His first class was Dance, one of his favorites actually. |
Ora hummed as she walked - grooved, rather - down the hall. Her feet could hardly contain her excitement. "First class, first class," She half sang, giving everyone she saw cheery smiles, mostly met with confused looks. She took the staircase, three stairs at a time, nearly knocking people over as she extended her legs. "Excuse me," singsong voice ringing out.
She arrived at her classroom - my classroom, she thought with joy - and entered. Already a few students were waiting, hanging out at the back wall, but not enough to be her full class. Watch check. Still time before class. The floor was shimmering, the fresh varnish still slightly fumigating from two weeks ago. Ora wasn't too worried, as excitement, dance, and sweat would soon change the smell of the room. She dropped off her clipboard onto her desk, then went to open the storage room door. She took a step in before turning on the light. Ora froze, her face paling. There was a centipede on the storage room floor. It hardly took Ora a second to climb to the top of the doorframe where she clung to it, staring at the centipede with intense fear. |
Alexzander walked with Aubrey to her first period. “See you later,” he mumbled. She looked at him and nodded, “You too.”
Aubrey walked over to the teacher and asked, “What are you scared of?” She looked and saw the centipede, her eye twitched and she hid behind Ora. Aubrey loved most bugs but the one that scared her we’re the ones with more than 6 legs. She peeked over Ora’s shoulder, ‘So unnatural,” she mumbled looking that the creature. Alexzander sighed and headed to his Politics, Advanced class. Not that he had a choice, Alexzander would have rather just avoid the class altogether, but he needed it to pass, so he was stuck with it. He opened the door and walked into the class room. He took the seat up front and next to the window, and rested his chin on his hand waiting for someone to enter the class so he may have someone to talk to. |
Opening the door Chiyako entered the dance room. The room was fairly large; it needed to be for all these students. She looked around, trying to find a place to put her bag. Spotting the lockers, she placed her bag in one and looked around the room again. She noticed the woman who must be the teacher standing frozen in the open doorway of the storage, then suddenly she was clinging to the top of it. She couldn't say she had ever seen a human move that fast. Another girl walked into the class and went over to the teacher. She looked to be a senior, and quickly hid behind the teacher as well.
Curious, Chiyako walked over to the storage room and peered inside. She immediatly saw the centipede and a small smile appeared on her lips. Chiyako didn't like all bugs but she found centipedes almost... well cute wasn't the word but it was the closest thing she could think of. Walking forward she picked up the small bug and placed it gently in the palm of her hand. "I take it you don't like bugs," she said softly. Moving over to the window on one of the walls, she opened it and dropped the small critter outside. She knew no harm would come to it from the small drop, though she imagined it must have seemed like miles to him. |
The funny sight of the bug incident was the last little kick-in-the-butt Ashtiri needed to wake up fully. She looked around the room at the others more closely this time and estimated how they would be now and then how they would change throughout the school year..Just a little game to occupy her mind before class started. It was something she always found entertaining to do during the first day of classes... As the teacher and other student finally gathered themselves from the experience, Ashtiri knew this school year would be different than anything else she had experienced...Normally at what just happened and also what she just realized, Ashtiri would've had a smile on her face but since last year, her smiles seemed to be less and less until they disappeared all together...Oh well, such is life.
As she put her stretching band into her bag, Ashtiri walked the five feet to the lockers and threw the khakki-coloured fabric bag into an empty box, closed the door and joined the gathering of students for dance class. |
Keith followed Atreas into the dance room and detached himself from the guy to give him some space. He had noticed that Atrea's eyes had twitched as the students were all trained to pick up the tiniest bit of movement. This could be unconventional when someone tried to fart. The class wouldn't laugh at anyone who did that but there would be this stiff silence that told the horrible lawbreaker that they knew everything. Reaching the small lockers to store their stuff, Keith kicked off his shoes and inserted it in the cubbies. During lessons, he tried to keep a serious face that told the teacher that he was commited to whatever move and whatnot they were teaching. He scanned his classmates for another friendly looking face. Of course, everyone in his class came from different backgrounds. Most were usually born into a family of prestigious killers and had things to live up to and all that. This would explain why everyone was so stiff to him and seemed to glare at him when he spoke to them. He had given up on trying to get the cold looking ones to become friend's with him; Keith struk lucky on finding Atreas. He shook his head but realized that he shouldn't let his mood dampen because of that. This school needed to relax it's atmosphere more; sure this training is important to killing but still, this is high school. Where was Aubrey? He knew he could count on that girl for some good fun in this class. Taking great care on his footsteps as he approached her, Keith hissed a ‘boo’ when he got close enough. Stepping back and doing a customary ancient chinese bow that his family had instilled upon him whenever a female presence should be near, Keith looked up with a solemn face and hoped that his eyes wouldn’t betray his real self. Then again, Aubrey already knew what he was like. “Would you like to be my partner for the dance, Mademoiselle Knight?” he said with a mock French accent and an equally false tone of being serious. He dropped the fake guise soon enough and took a step forward to squeeze the girl in an effectionate hug. Releasing her, Keith grinned and repeated the question he gave Atreas ",So how did you enjoy your summer? You should've gotten a tan." Keith shaked his head slowly as though disapointed ",you humans never get how lucky you are. I've always wanted to get another complexion." This would have infuriated the head if he saw but that was exactly the point.

Meandering in Tray sighed as he plopped into a seat rather unceremoniously. Looking around he saw only one other person there, he only knew that the other was of the Knight family and that he was an upperclassman. Til;ting his head slightly he frowned before looking around the class. He really hated politics. Alright maybe not hated but he didn't care for them for the most part. Lounging back in his chair he crossed his arms behind his head, keeping his balance perfectlky before again looking towards the upperclassman. After a moment he fixed his chair so that all four legs where again on the ground, let his arms fall to his lap and leaned forward. With a grin he looked to the older student.
"Hey..." He said with a tilt of his head. "I'm Tray, Tray Carmine." He stuck his hand out in front of him in a friendly manner. |
Atreas had no true regrets as Keith left him upon entering the classroom. Without really stopping to pay attention to the teacher and girl huddled by a doorway, he made his way to the lockers and put his bag in, closing it afterward. He then turned and glanced around the dance room, taking everything in. There weren't too many students. Then again, this was really a class that shouldn't be overstuffed.
Leaning back against the locker, he stifled a yawn. He couldn't wait for the class to start, at least then he'd wake up. Though it didn't really show, he was excited for the start of the school year. He'd just never been very good at expressing things ... except his annoyance. He was very good at that ... not that anyone really paid attention to it, it seemed. Shaking his head to clear it of thoughts, he pushed himself off the lockers and moved towards the other students. "Ashtiri," he said, as he stood next to the girl. He imagined it sounded rather ... impersonal, or cold, depending on how the girl wanted to look at it, but it was how he always sounded. It drove his brother crazy. |
Ora, with the centipede drama finished, couldn't quite remember what she had been going into the storage room to find, and backed out. "Thank you," She said to Chiyako, "Those things, they are just so... scary."
In any case, Ora was glad to see the students understanding that they were to put their belongings in the lockers in the back. She had also made a sign that asked them to remove dirty shoes before stepping onto the hardwood floor, and in her syllabus was instructed what sort of shoes were appropriate for class. "Welcome back, everyone," Ora beamed, "I'm going to start handing out the syllabus now, anyone who is late can pick them up later. I'd like you all to note the attendance policy, attendance and participation is what this class is built on, so absences must be accompanied by a note. Or a very, very creative excuse, and the excuse must be both spoken to the class then performed as an interpretive dance." |
Aubrey smiled at Keith and hugged him back. She looked at her arm, she really wasn’t tan. Her tan was already beginning to fade. “My summer was boring, and you are lucky you only have one skin color you can’t get skin cancer,” she said poking Keith’s arm looking at his pale skin. “Wait do vampires even get skin caner,” she asked tilting her head? She took two syllabus, handing one to Keith, and keeping one for herself.
Aubrey realized he had forgot to switch her shoes. She of course had been wearing her tennis shoes. She quickly slipping her shoes of and putting the correct ones on. She took her shoes and put them in her locker before joining the rest of the students in the class once again. Alexzander looked at the kid for a few moment he was trying to place the boy’s face in his mind. The boy introduced him self as ‘Tray’. “I am Alexzander,” he said while shaking the Tray’s. He hated politics, or it was not that he hated politics it was more or so that he hadn’t a clue how they work. “I hate politics, what about you,” he asked titling his own head? He thought he might as well strike up a conservation until the class started, also he wanted to avoid the awkward silent’s the might fall on the two. |
Chiyako mumbled a soft "No problem," before walking to a little unoccupied corner of the room. Slowly she began stretching out her stiff muscles, trying to loosen up before the lesson began. She didn't go off on her own because she didn't like or know anybody here, she just had a natural urge to isolate herself. It probably had something to do with the shadow demon she was surpressing.
Since it was her first class she had no idea what to expect so she just continued to stetch until the teacher began to speak. She silently drew closer and listened as she spoke about attendance policy and almost laughed when she told them they would have to act out their excuse in interpretive dance. However, she didn't know whether she was serious or not. She had never had this teacher before. |
The iridescent light from the ceiling started bugging Ashtiri's eyes out already. It was obvious that she hadn't been in school for a while. She looked around at the other people absent-mindedly before setting her eyes on one of the new girls in the class. She looks shy...If it had been last school year, she would have cheerfully introduced herself to the new people and befriend them, but this year was completely different now. She didn't feel happiness anymore. One of the more seasoned students that Ashtiri knew came and stood next to her. An almost emotionless voice came from him saying her name. A hint of a smile almost appeared on her closed lips; he was like her. At least she wouldn't have to worry about him thinking she was weird because of her emotionless manor. "Atreas" She said cooly. "I think we may have to stick together on this one"Ashtiri jokingly gestured at all the bubbly, giddy, and laughing faces around them. That was the closest she came to cracking jokes at any time..Ashtiri slightly wondered whether they would have to pair up for today's dances or if it would be solo practices. Not that it matter much to her..
