I've learned a lot concerning perspective and bodily anatomy from the figure drawing classes that I've taken in the past. However, perspective and foreshortening always gets the better of me. xD
|
xD I try my best to BS it. I'm not much of an artist, but ages of being an art whore have taught me "That looks odd" at least.

Well, i'm an American, too. But its true that there are a lot out there that are rediculously rude. But then again, I have found that a lot of the time the people that are pretty rude are the ones that aren't natural Americans. I live in an area where there are a lot of hyspanics that dont speak any english, and they're really rude. :/ I worked for the after school program at the elementrary school. And whenever parents that didn't speak english came to pick up their kids, they were always very rude to us. :/ And I was at the San Diego Zoo today, and in being a very big tourist area, the majority of people weren't speaking in English. lol Some were really nice, and others were just standing there and blocking everyone else and not moving and not even using manners. I wonder if it varies depending on the different countries at all? Or if its just how certain people behave, like how many crappy people we have in America. I always hear about how terrible most American tourists are in other countries. Something about going to another country makes people uppity. Haha. But I cant even count how many times I got pushed, shoved, stepped on, cut in front of, or nearly hit with a stroller today. I had one girl turn in a circle and stomp on my ankle and not even say a word. Had to jump out of the way from some lady because she nearly ran me down with her stroller. Crazy people in San Diego! lol |
@ Suona - o__o That doesn't sound pleasant at all!
To be honest, I live in a pretty tame city and usually keep civilized human beings around me. So I haven't experienced particularly terrible manners, despite living in the US. In fact, I can't quite remember the last time I was rude'd at. Although I rarely go out, so maybe that's why. >>; |
It wasn't. I'm not a fan of most people. I've been swearing under my breathe all day. lol Traffic is no better. People dont seem to think a blinker is necessary for this traffic here. Its pretty much just "A gap! *ZOOM!*" and you get cut off so fast. And if you do use your blinker or show that you're going to go into a spot, then a lot of people will speed up so that you can't get in.
I usually get out relatively often, so I run into my fair share of jerks. But then again, there are just a lot of rude people around here. Maybe California just is more uptight than most states. Haha. But a town that is like 20 min or so away is like the meth capital of the world, practically. Lots of total druggies there and people with not much teeth. lol Not all like that, but I must say that just going into that town makes me feel like my IQ dropped. And then another town over from us in a different direction, has a high pop. of college students and they're quite partiers. Also, most of the people are pretty self-centered and what not. Red lights get run almost constantly there. So rediculous. |

-lives in teh suburbs- o n o PRETTYARTSDEMO! |
Demo, that is so cute! I love how they're interacting!

Thanks guys! :squee:

@ Suona - ;w; Driving sounds unpleasant. I haven't started driving yet, although I'm 16. I have nowhere to drive myself, no car to drive myself in, and get lost easily. ... Though I will probably turn out an aggressive driver if people are so mean on the roads. D: I can only take so much before I lose my temper. >>; /rooooad raaagge!?!?
D: Bleh. I guess it just depends on what kind of town you live in? |
Well, at the time we were on our way to San Diego. So, we were going through like Los Angelos traffic and stuff, which is the bumper to bumper crap. It was horrific. I hate big cities! Bleck.
But yeah, I have road rage. :x I got my license like two months ago, so this semester will be the first time i'll be driving myself each day. And oh boy, I can just imagine how bad my vocabulary will become. lol xP;; Driving can be very frustrating, yeah, but its definently a good thing to be able to do. Having a car and a license is pretty much a priority in life as you grow older. Helps with getting jobs, and getting out to be more social. If there is an emergency, you dont have to worry about finding a ride or anything. |
@ Suona - @[email protected]; I just got back from a family trip. It was blazing hot and we were stuck in a traffic jam. And I was stuck in like, sweat pants. It kind of sucked. 8D;;
I look forward to learning how to drive. I don't look forward to learning how to not get lost. @[email protected]; |
Oh, that sounds like a blast. lol I hate when stuff like that happens. Warm clothes in the heat is just terrible. Then you get all sweaty and uncomfortable and ugh. D:
Mmm, yeah. :x I have a TomTom, so that really helps. |
@ Suona - I prefer being cold. ;w; Its easier to warm up than it is to cool down. And you don't SWEAT on everything, ughhh.
What's a TomTom? |
Yup, very true. And when you're cold, you can snuggle up to others. o 3o
But I prefer just medium weather. Thats why I looove Spring. :] Because I dont like being cold. :x I get cold very easily and then I shiver a ton. Its okay when you're home and can just wrap up and stuff, but when you're out and about, it really sucks. At least with the heat you can like go out swimming and stuff. Its a GPS thing for your car. Gives you directions places. |
;w; I don't have others I can snuggle up to. /lonely
I prefer autumn. A little chilly, but not too chilly. :D XD Aha. I need one of those for everyday life! |
lol Neither do I, but when you do, its nice. :] Use to get to snuggle with my ex on chilly days at the college, and that was always nice.
Autumn is nice, too, but i'm not a fan of chilly wind. Chills me to the bone, and I get too cold. Its really handy! Luckily I know the areas around here pretty well, so I dont tend to need it, but if i'm going somewhere i'm not totally familiar with, or to a place I dont know how to get to, it really helps. |
v.v Having someone you can do that with really does sound nice.
I usually don't mind being slightly cold. As long as its chilly rather than freezing, I'm usually content. |
I'm a southern bell... I don't mind the cold.... but I hate wearing jackets and stuff to keep warm in... the thicker the clothes the more I hate them. Winter coats are like a death sentence to me... I'm over-exaggerating... but ya know..
|
xD Lol. I don't really like thick clothes either. They're just so cumbersome and really get in the way!
|
Yeah, I really miss it. :/ It was really nice. Miss him, too, although I always hate admitting it. Hypos always remind me of him, because they're his favorite animal. lol
I hate being so cold that I shiver. lol Otherwise, a little cold isn't so bad. I dont like bulky clothing. Big jackets drive me nuts. I dont mind a bunch of layers too much. But the problem is that I get cold so easily, so I need a bunch of layers, but as soon as I warm up, I start overheating and have to take off a ton of layers. lol |
Lol. I took PE in the early morning, so I would start off wearing this thick sweater and sweat pants... And wish I was wearing my shorts by the end of it.
|
Oh man, I know how that is. I'd have PE classes during winter, and by the end of it, i'd be so hot that i'd be in shorts and a tank-top (usually what I worked out in), and i'd be sweating like mad even when outside. I'd usually have to change after class back into my normal clothes, and I hated it. lol I'd usually have jeans and a t-shirt to where, and changing into even hotter clothes when already overheating is no good. So, it was nice when I had my self defense class, because it didn't matter if I changed or not. xP;;
|
*3* I take taekwondo lessons. Its very nice to get into cooler clothes after class ends. Because I wear like. The thick uniform, then a shirt under the top.
|
Yeah, those clothes would get so hot. Props to you for wearing them. lol Some of the guys would wear those for our self defense class, and I dont know how they could stand it. I overheat just in shorts and a tank-top. @[email protected];; But my body temperature fluctuates rapidly.
|
o.o I'm not sure how I stand it. And in our sparring classes, we'd add our sparring gear on top of all that. XDD
