Kief watched as the navigator moved trying to find with way to go. for a while they seemed to be flying in zig zags around the skies. "come on how long does it talk to get there" he asked. it was nearly morning and you could see the sun starting to rise. By the time the sun was showing the navigator sent them to a grassland surrounded by trees.

Ephraim sat on the ridges of the dragon-like alien’s back. As the creatures on the outside of the hurricane continued to follow the group, he turned around to see if he could get a clear view of them. It was a vain effort. The young man could see nothing through the thick veil of air, but this gave him an idea as he watched the spiraling winds. If the human power cell could focus his electricity on the cyclone, it was possible to add a second defense to the traveling tower. Taking a chance, Ephraim charged his arms and blasted the storm, pouring his energy in heavily. He stopped after a minute, which nearly drained him from using so much of it earlier, and looked down at the ground. There was a girl standing in the clearing. “Hey guys, look down there. I think I see someone and I seriously think we should help them. We should go save whoever it is,” he shouted over the winds.
Serena looked down at where Ephraim was motioning towards "he's right, there is someone" she pointed out, keeping a firm grip on him so she wouldn't fall off the dragon while she looked down. However, she certainly wasn't going to tell the dragon what to do. She grabbed Ephraim's hand and held on. It felt good to hold his hand... it made her feel safe and secure. That even though they had all this trouble going on, she had someone beside her. She turned to him and noticed the drain of energy "you feeling ok?" she asked in a worried tone, moving closer to him.
Ephraim’s face was sullen, drained from the overuse of his powers, but he kept a reassuring smile on his face. “I’m fine Serena. You don’t have to worry about me,” he said a little hoarsely. A part of him was frantic about holding hands with Serena, but another part was actually ecstatic that he had the opportunity to do so. Some color began to flow back into his face as he blushed because of her actions. The young man shook his head slowly to grasp everything that was taking place. With Serena being so close, he wanted to lean on her shoulder to keep himself up, but he resisted the temptation. Ephraim looked around to see who would go to save the person on the ground and he knew that he wasn’t capable of doing so in his condition. “So who’s going to do it? We need to get down there,” he repeated for the third time.
Serena blushed when she noticed Ephraim's blush "good, I'm glad" she answered and turned to Akee "Akee, you have wings, do you think you could help that human down there? I'm not all that inclined to order this dragon around" she asked. She glanced back at Ephraim after she had made her request to Akee. He looks really pale... she thought to herself and pulled him down slightly until he was leaning on her. "Hey, you took care of me when I was down and out, now it's my turn. You just relax, alright?" she told him, running he fingers through his soft hair.
Ephraim smiled weakly at Serena and allowed himself to be guided onto her shoulder. "You really don't have to do that. I don't want to impose on you." Shifting his eyes over to Akee, he apologized silently. The air whipped around the young man briskly and this kept him conscious, but the elation that he felt from having Serena running her fingers through his hair was indescribable. What was happening between the pair? They just met awhile ago, yet they seemed so close. “Why do you care so much about me,” he whispered curiously. There was no telling if Kief or Akee heard his question, but it didn’t matter at this point. He just wanted to see there was some kind of connection.
"You're not imposing" she whispered softly, continuing to pet his hair. "I'm not sure... I just... for the first time since the attack... I finally feel alive. I feel alive because I'm with you. I don't know what that means, exactly... but... I care for you a lot" she answered in a soft voice. She felt her heart rate speed up as she was speaking, evidence of the fact that she was nervous. Why she was nervous, she didn't know, but she was. Her hand, as well, was a little shaky.
Kief was tired and didnt realize anything that was happening until he looked down and saw the girl. "Hey look down there a girl is out there by herself" looking confused at how everyone knew but him he folded his arms and fell out of the dragon blurting, "i guess i have to help her".
Ephraim was embarrassed at how his question may have come out, so he squeezed Serena’s hand a little bit tighter. “I’m sorry, Serena. That came out the wrong way,” he told her apologetically. Her words made him feel better about himself as she mentioned that she felt more alive since she’d met him. More color began to flow through his face when Serena revealed that she cared a good deal about him. “Are you sure that you feel that way about me? I mean I just don’t think that I would do you any good,” he replied in a melancholy tone. Ephraim eventually realized that the girl’s hand was shaking and he mumbled, “Are you cold? I don’t know how well I do as a space heater, but I think I could try to help.”

Akee shook her head humans and their need to save things. She followed keeping quite not letting her irradiation show that was building. They where losing time and the longer they where out in the open the more monsters would come. Only now the ones that where truly horrific would soon start to show their ugly heads. The weak ones showed themselves in day...and the monsters that earn their name appear at night to take the lives of those souls who find themselves in the night.
Kief was aware of the dangers that lurked and knew that this was probably a bad idea but if an innocent was in trouble he had to help. "Akee what are you doing", he asked mindlessly free falling out of the sky.
"Watching you fall of course." Akee replied as she dove down free falling to earth her wings by her side. She rolled her eyes knowing she had to do the right thing. She quickly caught up with him and wrapped her arms around him as they fell faster to earth. As soon as she felt a strong current of air she open her wings and soared upwards then circled back down safely lading Kief not far from the girl. She herself landing in one of the trees taking a set on one of the many branches. Her eyes glowed slightly as she stared at the new human. She shifted her eyes to the sky wanting to be back in the sky before something else appeared to kill them. "Those who ask for help get it." She said hopping that Kief would get the message but knowing her voice was to low for him to. Her eyes looked for the others that where with them. She liked them for the most part they reminded her of the first humans she had met and loved.
Kief was a little out of it after Akee dropped him next to the human. "Um, are you okay", he asked the girl keeping his distance not knowing if she were hostile or not. Moving closer kief made sure that he was still in range of the others sight.
Akee jumped from the tree as she moved to Kief's side. She put her hand on his arm out of concern not wanting him to get hurt. She may not agree with his ways but there was something about him that she couldn't ignore. "Please be careful." She whispered in his ear as she stood behind him and peered at the girl from behind him as she shifted her hands on his back gently.

um okay its getting to the point where if no one wants to continue then
((yeah... the posts slowed down a lot and that's when my interest dwindled. Pity, it was a cool story while it was up.))
Okay I know that the fonts and everything was a little much but its to late because I did that. So until the new character begins to post we will have to pick up and with a new pick up i have to change up where we left off so here is where we are now:.... One week after leaving the woods After escaping the woods alive Kief and the others flew away in search for a city of human survivors. Midway in on the journey they are blinded by a flashing light and they all black out...... to be continued. okay let there be life!!!!!!!! |
Kief woke up in a small pool of water. "R-rain", he questioned realizing that he was in city ruins. As he sat up he saw all of his friends including the dragon lying down. Trying to run towards them he stumbles feeling a sharp pain in his right arm. When he looked at it, it had some type of device pierced in it. Once he got closer he noticed it on the others.
Serena stirred and groaned at the light flooding her eyes. She felt wet drops hitting her face and she opened her eyes to investigate. She spotted Kief on the ground and she hauled herself up and began to crawl to him. "Kief... are you alright?" she asked.
Kief looked over to see Serena alive and well but what about the others. "Yeah"he replied limping over to her. " I cant remember anything. How did we hey here" he continued stumbling to the ground.
"I don't know... The last thing I remember...was this bright light... I shielded my eyes, but the light kept coming... then I blacked out. I wonder how long we've been out... or if the others are alright" Serena wondered softly. She gazed at the metal device on Kief's arm. "What's that?" she asked.
" I dont know but there is one on all of us" he pointed. "Look, whatever happened to us has something to do with these things" he continued.
Serena studied her own arm and then turned to the others to see their arms as well. "What do you think is going on here, anyway?" she asked, rubbing her arm above the device.
Alee slowly found herself waking from a forced sleep. Her head hurt as pain ran thew her body. She had fought something hard she knew but what she didn't know. Was she alive she wandered as she laid there gazing up at the strange sky. It was not her sky she had grown up with it was alien to her. She stared at it as she tried to understand how she had got their and why the rainbow colored sky she was use to was not before her. She slowly turned her head to the side seeing many strange things she did not remember her own planet having. Panic began to set in as she looked to her arm seeing her arm. She let out a scream as she stared at it not understanding where she was and why she was there. She shot up as she clawed at the metal on her arm scream in her own tong. Her head pounded as it ached in pain unable to remember how she had came to this strange plant.

Ephraim laid on the ground, unconscious from the events that took place recently. His eyes flickered open while he tried to sit up. It took a little bit for his eyes to adjust to the light, but exhaustion took its toll on him. The ground was cold and wet, possibly the result of rain, soaked into the young man’s clothes. With a deep groan, Ephraim pushed himself up into the sitting position and looked around for his friends. A few were spread out across the ground, but three appeared to be conscious; Kief, Akee and Serena. “You guys, what the hell’s going on,” he said bewilderedly. A weird object was on his arm and he began to freak out slowly. “What’s this thing on my arm? What the hell is this? Somebody get it off,” he shouted, swatting at the metal contraption and causing a massive raincloud to form. It began to rain harshly over the young man
