Quick Japanese linguistics question!
 

In Ichigo Mashimaro ep. 3; Matsuri is dressed like a cat, and is persuaded to stick nya at the end of everything, to which Chi responds "dirty old man" I think there's something I'm missing here, cuz I thought nya was just the Japanese onomonopia for a cat's mew...:yumeh1:

what it was, was nobue just wanted to see matsuri in a cat costume and act all cute and such, the "nya" only added to the effect. that's why nobue was called a dirty old man, because she was displaying perverted behaviors (older person thinking a young girl is cute). Does this help any?
