I'm feeling better. I talked to him last night though he was like 10% awake an doesn't remember a thing. Stupid hit and run driver! He caused so many problems.

Most hit and runs do. They don't care about causing problems for others. The drivers that hit and run have no personal honor or sense of responsibility. Many times they are also breaking the law and don't want to get caught.
I once witnessed an accident with my friend. The guy who caused it was speeding and driving erratically. We were driving in the oncoming lane at night so I didn't see too many details being the passenger. The truck he hit, flipped several times and threw the driver. Given what happened to the cab the driver was lucky to be thrown. But they didn't know if he was going to survive when they took him off. The driver who caused it raced on and hit someone else down the road and totaled his car. That's when he was caught, but he caused grief for at least two people and almost hit a car with a pregnant woman, who was 8+ months along, riding as a passenger. My friend and I and the couple (the pregnant woman and her husband) who decided to follow him for a while and find a phone to call the police got to wait around for 2.5 hours while the police investigated. They got there within 5 minutes after my friends 911 call. It took the fire dept 5 minutes to find the injured driver, they started at the truck. Then the investigation began. I had to call my mom and tell her why I was going to be very late getting home and that I was not involved. (she worries) |
I understand. I'd probably be the witness that stopped made sure the person was ok and waited for the police.
My boy doesn't remember if the light was red or green when he went through it. He remembers seeing green but it was off to side like. He was only going 15, the other car was going 30 or above when it hit his front passenger tire. It bent up the hood and caused a lot of damage. The guy got out to yell at him. When Ed aid he was calling the cops he bolted. |
