Songs For The Lonely; Skully and Butterfly's Hangout Thread
I'm rather nervous about making event threads... This is my first one.
Butterfly and I have found that, even though it's the beginning of the event, we can't get into any other hangout threads. I suppose we'll use this one to rant to another and whatnot. Join us if you like? For a conversation starter, we can start with these questions: What are the songs you listen to when you break up with someone? Do you have an official breakup song to pick you back up? (To give you an idea, your breakup song could be the one that reminds you of one of your exes, or one they'd sing to you.) Mine's Tighter and Tighter by Soundgarden. I hope you'll keep us company for the event. I don't have a break up song, because I am musicaly challenged. But I did have this boyfreind once that whould sing to me sometimes. He sang Such Great Heights from Iron and Wine i think....

Well, I never thought anyone would even look at our thread, to be honest. ...Oh, idea~ Do you have a scanner anywhere near you? We could draw the people who stick around with us.

*flails* I wish I did. I don't have my own scanner. I mean...I think there might be one at the library. But the dorm I live in on campus isn't anywhere near it. I want to save up for a scanner...I think there's one back at home, but I don't think it works anymore.

I want to get a scanner at some point...especially with the fact I'm an art minor...I have pieces I've done and I think it'd be kinda cool to scan them in and maybe put them on deviantart or something.
I WILL HAVE ONE SOMEDAY! I'm gonna save up money for a Tablet and a scanner. |

Britney Spear's - Stronger was what I blasted after I dumped my ex.
This was five years ago but still very laaaame. The first song I had with someone that was "our song" was Wherever You Will Go by The Calling (again YEARS ago) so on the odd occurrence that I hear that song I think about high school and back roads. GAH no no no I just thought of another one. From the first relationship I mentioned? Cumbersome by Seven Mary Three at least I think. Whoever. I can not listen to that song. He liked that song, he sang that song, he IS that song. God there's so many more. I had no idea how much music was tied into that relationship. |
I don't have a break up song. The only thing I ever had that could almost count as a relationship is two dates, a kiss, and an e-mail saying there wasn't really any chemistry between us.
And there really wasn't. :/ But I do know some good songs for getting out a rut, and making one feel better! It's My Life by Bon Jovi I Love Myself Today by Biff Naked Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger by Daft Punk Fighter by Christina Agulara Survivor by Destiny's Child Independent Woman by Destiny's Child Also some good general break-up-y sounding songs that I like anyway: Hunter by Dido Call Me When Your Sober by Evanescence Goodbye by Kristinia Debarge Battlefield by Jordan Sparks Beautiful Liar by Beyonce and Shakira Just to name a few. :P |

Ah, I find guys easier. It's odd. All my guys end up very girly, and yet the girls end up looking very...alien-looking. The new angle I chose to draw probably didn't help, either... I haven't drawn in a few years... I can't draw my avatar's current hair, so I have to change it in order to draw it. ._. Short hair is so hard.

Short hair is harder. I find with long hair I can hide imperfections in the drawing itself, while with sort hair I have to make sure the head isn't too big, or too small, that the ears, shoulders and neck are just right.
I suppose it would be better for me to draw with sort hair, that way I force myself to improve! Or I could keep drawing bunnies. :P |
Ah, just as I get in the mood to draw again, I start feeling sick... I have to lie down for a bit. ._. I'll actually get to scanning the ones I did first... I'd draw you, but you're not wearing much clothes. D:

Yeah we had a valentines dance at school today and I went with my bf ^o^ So it was pretty fun! Actually...the dance was really....blem BUT the spending time with him part was fun..mostly because hes moving next year and he won't be here D: |
