During an event such as this, which normally focuses on lovey-dovey luv, it’s important to remember the non-doveys we have in our lives… Especially our Mene lives. Especially if we HAVE no doveys to begin with (like me). So with that thought came this contest idea!

Write a short story, essay, poem, song, whatever describing your bestest(s) Mene buddy(s)! It could be about how you “met,” what you have in common, what you DON’T have in common, etc. Really anything goes as long as your relationship as buddies comes through.

:mail: Follow Mene’s rules.
:mail: Anything goes, as long as it is written.
:mail: Please make sure that you have correct spelling, grammar, etc. You’re more likely to win if your piece is written with technical love as well as love for your buddy(s).
:mail: Word limit is around (since not everyone’s word counter is the same) 500 words. I’ll let it slide if your word count is 505 or something like that, but if it’s more like 550, I’ll ask you to chop it down a little.
:mail: I’ll need a confirmation from the person you’re writing about that you are indeed Mene buddies, and not just some random name you picked from the “people online” box at the bottom of the forums. It’s your responsibility to notify them about this.
:mail: Contest will be open until the Valentine’s event closes. Please make sure to get your entries in on time!
:mail: Please post in this thread, NOT PM, following the provided form.
:mail: Please limit 3 entries per person.
:mail: Don’t use a muuuule. :3 I’ll count on y’all to be honorable, okay?
:mail: Don’t come crying to me, leave ignited feces on my doorstep, etc. if you don’t win. You had your shot, fair is fair.
:mail: Speaking of fair… You can’t enter a submission describing Goblin Maiden (me) as your bestie. Well, you CAN if you want to (I certainly won’t stop you!), it just won’t be eligible to win.
