We hope your time is worthwhile here too. :)
Please remember though that over loading your post with emotes can be considered a form of spam. Just something to watch out for. |

since joining mene two and a half weeks ago i have not logged into gaia. |
i dunno they both can get boring at times

It's more mature than Gaia, and the avis do look better.
It's harder to earn gold tho. I feel super poor compared to my Gaia avi. |
I'm starting to prefer Mene over Gaia.
Though my Gaia avatar is rather wicked and my account is worth so much, I really can't stand the stupidity that seems to come with Gaia. Mene has a much more mature audience and I really enjoy talking to intelligent beings ^.^ And what other avatar site has tetris in it's arcade? lol |
I wonder...so many people say Mene has a more mature userbase, maybe it would be better to turn that around and say we have less immature members? That seems like a better way of describing it to me
|
I just lost interest in Gaia like most, though the items over there are quit interesting....but I didnt bother with it in quite a long while... >.>"

Hmm, a few months ago I quit gaia and gave all my gold to two of my most trusted friends on that site.
It's kinda sad cause I met some really cool friends on there, (I remember one of my friends quitting and giving me 1 mil gold to add to my 500k I worked really hard for lol) but it just became too much drama so I quit. ------ Buuut, they both have there pros and cons. Gaia: - Easier to earn gold - More items (but that's because they've been around longer I guess) - More things to do on the website (like the aquarium, houses, zOMG, ect.) - They also had Towns, which is kinda like an IM in a way - Too much drama and 'elitism' - I know it takes lots of money to run the site, but for $10, items should have a little more poses for them Menewsha: - Cute avatars & items - More mature people & it's easier to talk on the forums - More of a community that doesn't seem to be 'sooper mega swamped' - Harder to earn gold - Less items (but I'm not complaining or anything, just an observation. The items they have now are just adorable! <3) - I also like the way you can change your avatar without having to pay/delete your avatar for different hair, skin color, or eyes EDIT: Well after using Mene for enough time to tell if it's better than Gaia or not, I'd have to say I like Mene more. Congrats for winning my seal of approval <3 |
Gaiaonline
I only go on Gaiaonline now to debate in the Extended discussion. Though I like Menewsha better, so I would have to say this website.
|
I love gaia but it just bores me after a while. I miss the way it used to be, when I first started out everything was better. Mene is a more mature site and thats what makes me abit more interested. Its way too easy to get gold on gaia too, users inflated items for millions of gold. over the years its become ridiculous.. especially the amount of scripters and hackers.. and as it seems the admins on gaia are doing little to nothing to solve the problem. :(

Hmm... Where do I begin? *sighhh* I guess the first thing that attracted me to Mene was the Tetris. I have to say, I really don't enjoy any of Gaia's so-called "arcade games;" seeing as they even managed to kill Pinball by making it lag. Menewsha has games that are actually entertaining, and it's harder to make money on here; which makes it much more fulfilling in the long run. The second thing I really love about Menewsha has got to be 52. My biggest problem with Gaia avatars is that, although the pixels may be smooth and pretty, you can never find accessories that match. So, I give a big thumbs-up to the legwarmers out there. Third: The coding is ever so much easier on Mene. Seriously. When you just want to reply quickly, you can just do your own coding, without being bothered by a little tiny box that resets itself every single time you want to change the color. Want to go advanced? Just hit a button, and you can preview your masterpiece! I am such a code addict, so that's wonderful for me! Along those lines, signatures on Menewsha encounter fewer glitches than on Gaia, plus you have enough space to actually put something other than emo pics of yourself an a witty quote. Fourth; with less people, it's a lot easier to make friends on Menewsha, plus things like roleplays are easier to find in the big scary web of the forum page. People are a lot more likely to stick around in forums and have conversations, even become friends; versus grabbing booty and getting gone. ;)
...That's why I love Menewsha. (: |
It is extremely hard here to earn gold. May I suggest more games?
|
Totally agree with you. I used to be a hardcore Gaia addict until like two years ago I believe. I now go on there to roleplay when I have free time and is completely bored. But I haven't been on for a few months now. My account is worth so much. xD I'm just gonna wait for a couple of more years and hold an art contest. >w<

Right now...I am really into and am really enjoying Menewsha. I am more then a little annyoed with Gaia and how money hungry they have become. My problem with that site began when they introduced Gaia Cash. I knew then what would happen. Nowadays everything about that site...any really innovative items or such all became about the cash. I think Gaia has gotten to big and has lost the vision of what they wanted to be.
I also believe that the community on Gaia is not what it used to be. People don't talk anymore unless it's about gold or items that they want and easier ways to go about getting them. People have gotten just plain mean on that site, to people that are new especially. It's like if you are new on there you are just assumed to be a begger or a mule. You ask a simple question and unless a mod just happens to be on...you run the risk of getting you head bitten off. Then there are the events, people get rude if someone clicked on the page two second before they did...they go on a rant about being cheated or having there chance stolen. It's just not the fun playful environment it used to be. I play Zomg on there and even on that you hardly see people talk. That is how bad the community has gotten. I mean come on it's a massively multiplayer online (MMO) game for a reason. Every now and then you get lucky and run into a couple people that just happen to be having a conversation that invite you into it...but that happens too few and far between for my tastes anymore. Menewsha so far to me is the opposite of all of this...and I really hope it doesn't follow Gaia's lead anytime soon. :) |
Honestly, I think Menewsha is way better than Gaia, it's more organized, the people are nicer, it like one big family on here
However, Gaia is extremely addicting... so I dunno |
At least there are mature people here that can use proper grammar. Not to mention interesting topics and items. The only thing I find thats fun about gaia is TekTek. It would be cool if they had something similiar here.
|
 And tektek isn't even run by Gaia. I agree though, it's an excellent tool in so many ways.
|
Wasn't tektek made by a regular user? I remember going to their profile once o.o
Does gaia even pay him for it? |
Yeah, I believe it was made by a user, who now probably makes a crapload off of that site in advertising. XD
I don't know if Gaia has ever paid him for it -- but I'm not sure why they would. Technically, he's using their stuff to make his guides, the dressup system, etc. It's just a fabulous tool that happens to not be made by Gaia. |
I like Gaia...but I like Menewsha much more. It's just I think Gaia gets old after a while. I will go for weeks without getting on there anymore. Nobody really talks to each other there either. That annoys me, because that is the reason I got into Gaia in the first place. I also like the fact that they made an MMO but I think it needs to encourage community so much more then it does right now. I also don't like how dependent they are becoming on Gaia Cash, I mean I really don't see the point of paying for things for a digital character...not when that money can go towards important things...like food lol. ^_^
|
Whenever I go to gaia (especially if it was after I joined mene) I've developed a tendency to go on reporting frenzies >.>"
|
Gaia is my favorite site of all time, but I like Menewsha as well. Menewsha lets you wear multiple poses in just one item while Gaia doesn't. This site is my "second homepage." I just don't like how all the games on Menewsha are hard (I'm getting used to the helicopter one). There is also the difference in forums. On Gaia, if you post more and more, you get less gold. But on Menewsha, the longer the posts are (with no spam), the more you get.
But I love Gaia more because I've been with it longer than Menewsha. I started here like maybe three or four days ago. xD |

Our moderators actually respond to things very quickly, and do a great job at handling the site and keeping it clean. It is not empty, you are not doing enough. We are about being a community, not instant gratification for clicking some random button. It is not confusing, and certainly nowhere near as confusing as Gaia. Gaia's forums are full of flames, spams, and bumps. Even if you go into a specific thread it came sometimes be hard. Here every forum, sub-forum, and thread, is exactly what it says it is. Also, the pixel art here is much nicer, in my opinion. Gaia's become so money-hungry and their in-game-shops are very sorry-looking. Here, even if you don't have a credit card, there is a vast amount of very nice items to choose from. All items are made with great care, and if they're not up to standard, they are re-pixeled. Moderators care about user suggestions and actually implement them in many cases. And another thing: Spy any annoying advertisements/sellout items here? Me neither. :) |
oh man, peoples...........get ready for a rant XP
Sora was on gaia for 5 years and Sora wishes he got back those years T3T Sora had 4 accounts on gaia and was ahppy and everything until one day I got an email saying that I can't go into 3 of my 4 accounts and of course Sora was "WTF"ing.....so Sora mailed them back asking what has happened and they said that my accounts were trying to hack other accounts......*mind blown* so Sora thought that if a site could have hackers so easily, then their not worth my time and money anymore! so Sora gave his items on his 4th account to a friends and said SAYOUNARA to gaia and luckily I was able to find menewsha YAYZ! ............but yea........there went 5 years and $25 of Sora's life XP |
