Thanks keres. I know I keep going on and on about it but I am just so excited. I just wish he would hurry up and give it to me.

Arinia Dreamdancer 05-23-2012 10:00 PM

Congratulations on your engagement Silver, you should be excited it's a wonderful thing :)

Silver Storm 05-23-2012 10:03 PM

It is. He is my heart and soul.

keres corvax 05-23-2012 10:05 PM

Arinia that's really nice :) I'm still learning color in photoshop, so I experiment a lot. I was using soft level layer, I can't think of the proper term at the moment. it bring the realism into it.

this is my best traditional colored. I've been drawing traditional for a really long time. I just really started to use picture from life. I used to usually use me sitting in front of the mirror.

dessertdesiert 05-23-2012 10:08 PM

Omg that's such a good drawing!

keres corvax 05-23-2012 10:10 PM

Thank you very much :) dessert. <3

dessertdesiert 05-23-2012 10:12 PM

Did you draw the while thing?

Silver Storm 05-23-2012 10:12 PM

That is such a good drawing. Wish I had half that talent.

keres corvax 05-23-2012 10:14 PM

I did draw the whole thing :)

dessertdesiert 05-23-2012 10:16 PM

That's really cool! i wish i could do that.. but i don't have talent..:(

Do you have an artshop?

Arinia Dreamdancer 05-23-2012 10:17 PM

I love that picture. I wish I could do traditional colour like that.
An interesting fact a lot professional animators keep a mirror on their desks so they can use themselves as references to

Silver Storm 05-23-2012 10:18 PM

I had to do a self portrait once in school. I labored SO hard on that thing and it looked NOTHING like me.

keres corvax 05-23-2012 10:19 PM

I have one on zan, but it's not open. and I have on on devArt. but I do do the occasional random freebie, ot commission when asked.

Yeah faces can be really hard. a lot of it is just trying to draw the correct measurements.

I haven't felt worth of throwing up an art shop here yet simply becasue I haven't spent enough time here.

Silver Storm 05-23-2012 10:21 PM

Still scenes are more up my alley. I used to amuse myself as a kid by doing before and then run down after pictures of houses and stuff.

dessertdesiert 05-23-2012 10:21 PM

I like doing houses and other buildings >.>"

keres corvax 05-23-2012 10:23 PM

I think those are fun to draw. although I ussually have a hard time with back ground scenery.

Silver Storm 05-23-2012 10:23 PM

I love to do horses too, but they aren't the best. My brother does amazing horses and doesn't even like horses. So NOT fair. Mine went from looking like Wiener dogs when I was a kid, to more horse like.

keres corvax 05-23-2012 10:31 PM

:D yeah it just takes lots of practice. and lots of referencing. referencing has brought me as far as it has, to a pretty decent stage. everything else is experimental. like when I'm drawing a dragon :) and I've always obsesed about those.

Silver Storm 05-23-2012 10:53 PM

Dragons are awesome also.

keres corvax 05-23-2012 10:56 PM

heck yeah they are. they are supposed to be super intelligent.

Silver Storm 05-23-2012 10:58 PM

I love the movie How To Train Your Dragons. I want a pet dragon!

keres corvax 05-23-2012 11:03 PM

That was a killer movie, I loved it.

Silver Storm 05-23-2012 11:06 PM

It is one of my favorites. I actually watched it the first time on my birthday, while my parents and brother were making my birthday dinner.

Arinia Dreamdancer 05-23-2012 11:09 PM

I still haven't gotten around to watching that one yet, even though it's sitting over on my desk. ^_^;
I'm not a person to watch a lot of movies since even the really good ones tend to put me to sleep.

keres corvax 05-23-2012 11:11 PM

it's certainly a decent movie to watch :)
