Well, that's a good reason! Though the interest rate is pretty low right now so you don't get much return.

I think the money orders are $1.50....

Mystic 06-05-2012 02:11 AM

Yeah, plus it's just easier to cash my checks and pay everything with cash.

I'm for sure going to check money orders though. :) 1.50 is cheaper than I thought they would be.

Superstition 06-05-2012 02:12 AM

Hey, we made it! :D

GrannyJ 06-05-2012 02:14 AM

I believe that the most money orders are is 10%?
I am not certain though. A simple phone call to your grocery store or WalMart would tell you.

Mystic 06-05-2012 02:15 AM

I'm biking up there tomorrow for food shopping so I'll have to check then. :)

Superstition 06-05-2012 02:17 AM

I need to take care of my loan deferment tomorrow or I'll have to pay my payment this month.... I am horrible at snail mail

OnYourGoat 06-05-2012 02:17 AM

*flops onto the floor* ugh.. Hi guys.

Superstition 06-05-2012 02:18 AM

*jumps as sensia flops*

Mystic 06-05-2012 02:19 AM

I was bad at getting things in with mail so that's why I switched to cash only with most things. If I see what what money I have and what I have to pay then it makes it easier for me to budget things.

Heya Sensia

Superstition 06-05-2012 02:20 AM

Yeah, having a debit card can make things worse if you don't check your balance but it also helps me keep my budget since I tend to lose my receipts.

Mystic 06-05-2012 02:21 AM

I'm horrible with receipts. I just bought a filing cabinet for all them and started using that. I'm trying to reorganize everything and it's becoming quite a task. XD

Superstition 06-05-2012 02:23 AM

Ugh, I know! We throw them on the breakfast bar but then the fan blows them off :P

OnYourGoat 06-05-2012 02:23 AM

Heyy.*curls into a tired ball*

GrannyJ 06-05-2012 02:24 AM

This may sound very strange, but using cash is NOT a good way to get a good credit rating.

You need to have a credit card that you use occasionally and pay off each month.

People who use only cash generally do not have a credit rating.
This can cause you problems in the future when you try to buy a car or a house.

Mystic 06-05-2012 02:26 AM

How are you doing, Sensia?

Superstition: I just throw them in the glove box of my car or between the seats. XD I have like 8 months to get everything organized before the baby comes if I'm not moved by then so I'm trying to aim for that.

Granny: I had that problem when I went to buy my house. My credit was considered "bad" because at the time I did not have a credit card or anything. I had to get my parents to co-sign for it.

OnYourGoat 06-05-2012 02:28 AM

I'm tired. very.. it's midday..

Mystic 06-05-2012 02:30 AM

That's no fun. :( Cat nap?

OnYourGoat 06-05-2012 02:36 AM

If I do I'll sleep the rest of the day..

Silver Storm 06-05-2012 03:38 AM

Oh I could sleep for 3 days right now. I am soooo tired.

hummy 06-05-2012 03:42 AM

Silver Storm 06-05-2012 03:43 AM

great use of the new contribution item~!

Silver Storm 06-05-2012 03:47 AM

I am slowly putting it together. My goofy laptop will let me put on an item or two and then it stops responding and I have to come back to the inventory after a bit.

hummy 06-05-2012 03:48 AM

i've had that problem, as well.

Silver Storm 06-05-2012 03:50 AM

On my fiance's laptop it works fine, but not mine. I am going for kind of an ocean queen/princess falls for a human look.
