SO! I've decided to start a diet plan.

Things to know about me!

*I've never tried a diet before

*I am actually really happy with my body

**

Reason why?

It boils down to cosplay.

Yeup. Hardcore nerd action.

Also, I'm conscious of getting to the point in life when it will be harder for my body to lose fat and I want to be as reasonably healthy as I can.

**

Starting Stats:

Height: 5'4" (I don't plan on that changing)

Weight: 155ish (up to three pounds could be clothes)

Shirt size: Large

Pant size: 11-12

**

The plan!

Month Trial of Acai Advanced and Colcerin Colon Cleanse

(decided on after reading a convincing news article and getting a free offer, here goes for the $3 diet!)

**

How did it come to this?

Every time I see a bad cosplay a horrible thought jumps into my head "No More Fat Chicks." It's cruel, and I really don't mean it, but I'm awful and that's what's in my head.

It's primarily the idea that I am so sick of people who try cosplays that don't suit them and are exponentially more unflattering than they ever need to be.

In every effort to be an excellent cosplayer I will tone up and look fabulous in anything!

MUAHAHA!

**

This account is more for my own record than anything.

Day One--

I took the pills, as recommended around 9 in the morning. Half an hour passed before I noticed results. I was manic with energy. (and POOP) It was like an all-nighter on Mountain Dew energy. The intense energy began to subside after an hour or so, but the slight tremble of it didn't subside until 2 in the afternoon.

I was at regular energy levels the rest of the day (which was very nice as I was afraid of a crash).

Day Two--

Took pills around the same time as the day before, again on an empty stomach as instructed. This time, I readied myself to go to the gym and be working out by the time the crazy energy kicked in. I don't know if it was because I was working out or if my body was more prepared for it, but I definitely didn't feel it the same way. My endurance on the eliptical was admirable (considering I hadn't been on one in a week) and I'll attribute that to the pills.

After a hard hour at the gym I definitely recovered from fatigue much faster than usual for that kind of workout--and for this I am very pleased.

(little poops this time)

Definitely have a frequent need to use the bathroom, but that's a good thing. Good bye "colon sludge"

I weighed myself at the gym, fully-clothed, at about 155--which is what I'm basing my starting weight on.

Three pounds isn't that clothing. I ordered a crap load from hot topic and it was a pound. 10 pounds is water weight. It's going to take time to lose the weight on pills or not on pills. Don't weigh yourself every day. You should talk to your doctor about any weightless pills you take a well as any cleansers.

*[email protected] ASPLODES FROM TOO MUCH INFORMATION*

But seriously.

Good for you, go for it and keep organized and focused.

Yeah
everyone hates "fat cosplayers"
I think that's bullnanignas
-shrug-
anyway, good luck
I've never been able to stick to a diet
and I never lose any weight ><

akhmonster 02-20-2010 03:40 PM

i need to do something similar too if i want to cosplay :(

LaVida 02-20-2010 11:05 PM

ummm, I wonder if you have heard about the whole incident where they had infected Acai berries.......anyways, I personally prefer excercise if I ever go on a diet (I've never been on one before either) but once I went hiking around Beijing with my grandma and lost 10 pounds...or something like that in a bit over a week XP like, I noticed the difference because I bought this really nice pair of black short-shorts and then I couldn't even wear them anymore after a week without a belt!!! it was 1.5 inches too wide!!! (measured of the gap between my body and my shorts when I pulled the shorts tight against one side and measured the loose side) and my auntie and uncle went like "omg, you can't even out-walk your GRANDMOTHER, geez" so, I told them to go and hike the city with her one day. Both of them tried. Both of them were exhausted when they got back and said they would never do anything like that again.

lmao, my friends go to china to get fat with food, I go to China to get skinner XD (but I got fatter when I got back from China XP)

Girl in the Blue 02-21-2010 06:13 AM

I'm going to be a Lenalee cosplay but only because she's the only character that I look a bit close to. I don't need to diet but I guess slimming down more wouldn't hurt. Good luck to you!

The Wandering Poet 02-21-2010 06:43 AM

>.< reminds me of all those cosplayer images that have burned holes in my eyes... just... when people don't fit the skin color of the person they cosplay or the weight they look weird... and more so makes me feel sorry for them. Not that I should say they shouldn't... but it's personally in my opinion better to choose something that fits your body type and color right?

^^ but I admire your determination to getting your weight down and wish you luck. Though 155 doesn't seem too high =) What is your weight goal?

By the way... what's in those pills? I'm curious... Cause they're definitely not sugar pills if they don't make you crash.

luckinspades 02-21-2010 06:56 AM

I detest all of you jerks who think that people of a certain weight shouldn't cosplay. As a cosplayer with a less-than-ideal form, it is incredibly offensive.

Instead of being dreadful and just insulting people, we need to get into the habit of encouraging appropriate cosplay decisions for ANYONE of ANY size. Just because a person is a stick doesn't mean they need to run around in minimal clothing like a cheap prostitute. Just because someone is husky or fat doesn't mean they can't enjoy a hobby like the rest of us. Even though some things are hard to look at doesn't mean people need to take out their own low self esteem on others.

mwahhaha 02-21-2010 09:16 PM

I'm with you Rene about losing weight! (not that I am saying you need to, but I'm losing weight for cosplay, too!) Your reasons seem good and healthy, too. I have a treadmill set up behind my bed, so I know I have no excuse not to work out. Us youngin's should try to get fit now while it's "easy." ;) Weight pertains to health a lot of the time, so it's good to try to be healthy.
I agree with Luck too,, in that people of any shape and size can and should cosplay to their hearts content, and no one should give them strife about it nor assume they're trying to be funny.

LaVida 02-21-2010 09:45 PM

lol, I just remembered, me and some of my friends actually get pissed when we get skinnier right before an anime convention because we make the cosplays ourselves and then if we get too skinny, we won't be able to fit into our cosplays Xd

mwahhaha 02-22-2010 07:55 AM

LOL, that would suck, LaVida. Do you just wear them baggy then or really quickly take them in at the waist or hips?

xnamelessxmemory 02-22-2010 08:51 PM

I thinkt he best way to sm up what will or won't work is this site:

Diet Products | Cracked.com

In my own opinion, as a worker at a general store, I have yet to see any weight loss pills work. >> Unles these pills give yuo the energy you nee to actually work your body to losing the extra weight, they are just expensive poop.

Good luck! :D You sound just about the height and body mass as I, who is currently on a mission to lose weight for the summer!

Lucca_Kitazari 02-24-2010 05:23 PM

or you could just not worry to much about your weight, unless it becomes a health issue. ^^

Mystic 02-24-2010 08:33 PM

Personally I think your weight is not a problem. It bugs me when people want to lose weight based on appearance and not for heath reasons. Pooping the weight out is not healthy. It can cause dehydration and your body does not absorb nuteients it needs properly. Diet and being active is the key to losing weight and being healthy and keeping it off. I also think that some girls that are overly, thin should not wear some of the outfits they are wearing. It's more about working with your body structure than weight.

Keep in mind that I am 5'7 and 118lbs and find my body gross. Personally I like curvy women that are toned and comfortable with themselves. Skinny girls gross me out. Good luck on losing the weight that you want to lose though. Just keep yourself healthy when doing it.

kollusim 02-24-2010 09:57 PM

shame on all of you who think that you have to be a certain weight. who gives a damn if you don't suit whoever you're playing. it's about having fun and expressing your enthusiasm. or at least that's what i thought. stop ruining the fun for others.
