"Scarlett."She said quietly."So..favorite number?"She said with a small smile.Her favorite color was teal,She even knew Drakes because it was strange that his favorite color was the color of her eyes.She looked down at her palms.

"Lucky number 7" Eli thought it was kind of silly to have a favorite number. "Whats your favorite season? Mine is winter"

Katie looked up."I love winter because the snow makes everything beautiful..But I love summer because its warm."She smiled.

"Well, at least we have one thing in common" Eli let out a weak laugh.

She leaned over,giving him a kiss on the cheek."Don't strain yourself."She leaned back looking at him."So..what are the doctors going to do?"

"They say there is an experimental surgery they can do, which would put cybernetics in my spine and let me walk again. However, if the surgery fails I could end up dead. My odds are 50/50. I have elected to go with the surgery"

"Well..I hope you'll be okay."She smiled softly."Maybe I should leave so you can rest.."

"How did you plan to make us suffer?" Neon asked him. Still using us. she had been a hunter for such a long time, just throwing it all away would be difficult..

He looked up at her."I've killed many hunters.."

"Katie, in my room there is a gold ring. It belonged to my mother. If I don't make it, I want you to have it"

She frowned."Don't say you wont make it..Now rest."She said quietly,standing up and giving him a kiss.She turned and left,going to the lounge.She had a huge headache,so she laid down and closed her eyes.

The doctors came and wheeled Eli in for surgery. Several hours past. Finally, a doctor came out to speak with Katie.

"I see. Well, I've killed many Rebels.. I killed them. I have never used the toxin. They should have never created it. So at least they saw their final death.." Neon said to him. She did regret the one time she had used the toxin. Although, Neon did kill the man after.

Katie woke up,hearing someones presence and saw the doctor.She sat up,fixing her hair..embarassed that she had fallen asleep while Eli was in surgery.Her heart stopped for a moment..why would the doctor be here unless something had gone wrong?She looked at the doctor.Straining herself to seem strong."Yes..?"

Drake walked in the lounge,stopping at the entry way.

Alex nodded."Whats the point of having mindless zombies run around the place?!"He said under his breath.

Neon shook her head. "They told us a reason, but I never cared to learn it." Neon said, turning to lay on her side in order to face Alex. The blankets were tucked under her arm. The TV in the medical wing played something interesting, getting Neon's attention. "Cybernetics?! They told me they would not fund that for me!" Neon said very surprised. Her chances living here also much greater. Almost 80 percent.

Alex switched the tv threw to another camera,but stopped when he saw Katie and a doctor talking in the lounge.He sat up."Hmm.."

The doctor said that Eli's surgery was s succsess, and that he wanted to see her.

Neon heard the doctor. "That is good to hear." She said, not looking up at the tv.

She nodded in relief and stood up,walking to the medic room.She opened the door and looked inside.

Alex turned to Neon."Wanna follow her with the cameras?"

Drake followed Katie,curious about Eli.

"You can if you want." Neon told him. watching half the TV from her position.

Alex switched it to the medic room and saw Drake."You know..I always pictured him and Katie to tie the knot..Hes been in love with her for I don't know how long.."He laughed.

Eli saw Katie enterd the recovery room. "I'm glad your here. The surgery went great. The doctors say I should be out of here by tomorrow"

"Since she stabbed him. Katie was relativity knew to the scene when they met. At least one of few times I picked her up." Neon said with a small laugh. "The age difference still makes me laugh a bit though.."

"Yeah..Me as well..But dosen't Eli realize that shes trying to tell him that he dosent really love her?I mean she brings up all the time how its just lust..and how hes gonna come out of it soon..Maybe shes not saying she loves him because maybe she dosent."He breathed,turning the volume up.

"Cool.."Katie said,sitting down.She would have been sad if he died..but she was very confused.
Drake sat by her."Thats great dude..Now you'll be able to get back to hunting!"Drake said this enthusiastically but..didn't truely mean it.Of course Eli was an Okay person..but if Eli hadn't came in Katies life her and Drake would probably end up being together and getting married in the future.
