Obelix felt sorry for hurting her feelings. Softly he blushed when she touched his cheek. He put his hand softly on her shoulder and squeezed trying to show he supported her. "I was just surprised is all. Plesantly surprised may I add." He grinned then turned to the man who approached. His eyes narrowed and he lowered his hand. Obelix wouldn't say anything know Artimis mostly likely had choice words for him.
Artimis turned to the man and raised an eye brow seeing her arrow still lodged in his shoulder. "Well I see my arrow has found it's mark." she said lightly and her green human eyes flashed to teal before retuning to green. "Its a very nice horse.... It just came to me willingly. And I just do adore animals." she said and flashed a wicked smile. "You are lucky the gods and goddesses let your horse find me... Who knows, some their couldve snatched it." she said wanting to see his reaction. She wanted to see just how he saw the gods and goddesses.
Alana nodded.
"I see." She had a lot to learn. "I have never truly been around people. I spend all my time in the temple and when others come always women they dont stay for long so I suppose I have a lot to learn." |
Balthazars eyes went dark as he looked down, "Gods and godesses dont exist," he said somberly. then looking up he patted the horse, barely noticing the arrow in his shoulder. Finally he looked back at the women, he reached up pulling the arrow out, "Here then i believe this is yours" he said as blood dripped from the wound. "If gods and godesses did exist then my sister would still be alive." he said not looking at the lady.
Athena nodded as she entered the woods. She was growing tired of her human body it was to slow and made her fell bound. "I had hoped that you would have explored the land instead of staying at the temple all the time Alana. There is much you should learn and experience that is what makes life so much fun dear. You should go to the sea shore and look at the beauty of the sea and play with the shells. Time in the city would be good for you to learn how to act around others and to learn about yourself and your people."
The broad burly man gritted his teeth at him. His mother was dying at home and he knew that god's exist. Obelix felt his hands clench at his sides. He knew his temper was going to flare, but he tried to get in under control. "That's all you have to say, your sister?" He hissed threw clenched teeth. Obelix had seen his brothers and sisters pass in his mother's arms, and his father die at the hands of stranger and this man was whining that there were no gods or goddess's because of that?
Artimis looked at the man and took he arrow. "All humans have their time.... It is how mother nature made life... Not even the gods can controll that always..." she said softly and then held up the arrow. "Do you have any idea what this is?" she said holding it out. "If you were a wise warrior you would look at the weapon that struck you down. So as to know your enemy." she said and shook her head. "Obelix... Be calm... He does not know to whom he speaks." she said softly and then turned back to the warrior. "Unless you know what this arrow is made of maybe?" she said challenging him.
Talla smiled at that her eyes growing wide at the thought of such a big family while Metro's smile turned into a grim line not sure if the gods could be trusted around his little sister what with their habits. Also he liked it being just a small group of people. Talla looked at him worredly but returned to grinning, "It is such an honor to be a Demi-god…"
"No i have little care of what hit me," he said looking at the whole in his shoulder." And you" he said turning to the man whose anger was obviously getting the best of him, "Why would you care what i think, its not like i challanged you." he said laughing slightly. Then he turned back to the women, "I do not care if i got struck dead today by your weapon, a warrior welcomes death." he said his voice pointed.
Obelix swallowed hard and looked down. He couldn't look at that man. Unclenching his fists he let out a soft sigh. Raising his gaze again to the stranger who stood in front of them. After seeing his siblings die he became more diligent in praying to the goods. He had become hard working and it sculpted him into the man he was now. Looking over to Artimis he nodded a silently thank you pleased that he would not lose him temper tonight. Obelix ignored the man's jibes. He justt could not understand. This stranger was a brute and that was all he ever would be.
{btw. I think Pythia might just slip out at night and run into Apollo Xd bc.. it sounds like a good plan. so she's just back home for now. & i wanna get Apollo involved heh. & he's actually my favorite /ramble} |
((sounds good to me ^.^))
Artimis looked at him and closed her eyes. And what mad you choose the path of a warrior? she asked adn then in a blurr of motion she had one hand on his throat and the arrow pointed dangerously at his jaw. "Was it fame? Glory? Acknoledgement of the gods? Or wanting to avenge your sister?" she asked her eyse flashing dangerously. "If you welcomed death so much, you would ask me to finish you off right now. A warrior fights for fmiy or the gods. A true warrior. So what may I ask are you?" she ws going to challenge him. She ws going to see just what he thought he was doing. Pluse he had caught her in mid conversation on a very bad day... |
((Hey where is everyone at Because I have know idea where))
Alana nodded as she listened.
"I just wanted to make sure that no guys would be able to get me and I was worried about Aphrodite or Eros striking me with the thing called love. |
Balthazar smiled with the womens hand at his throat, "I fight for the blood, the battle, to get stronger, and one day ill clib olympus and kill to avenge my sister, because it was the gods who killed her." he said looking at the women his eyes darkening. "If you kill me then that would end it and i would have to come back after death and still i would work towards my goal." he said looking directly into her eyes.
Artimis's anger flared and she had enough of this weak form. She transformed right before his eyes and even let her true hieght be revealed. All gods and goddesses were taller then humans and she picked him up by the throat. "Listen closely younge one. This world is unfare." she said and suddenly her power began ringing in her voice. "You will be given a gift. I will open your eyes." she said and looked at him. "You will become one with the forest, you my wolfish friend will hunt with my nymphs and I. A week spent as one of the forest." she said her eyes blazing. she then let him go and magic began to inwine around him. "You will be able to speak but only to me and my nymphs, to any other, you will only be a wolf." she said and then watched as he slowly began transforming.
Balthazar just smiled as he felt the magic starting to take hold, "Tis the gods that will die for raping and murdering my sister." he said as his last words before he became a wolf. As he sat there as a wolf his for acttion was to bite at teh heals of the horse watching it run off with delight, he laughed only how a wolf could. the leather jerkin he wore sat uncomferatbly on his back.
Obelix watched in awe as Artimis showed her anger at him. His eyes were quite wide as he saw the brute transform in to beast. It was quite surprising. The man was alarmed, but he knew what happened when you messed with the gods. They weren't meant to be feared, but honored. He hoped that the man would learn his lesson and learn to believe.
"Talia you may think it is a great thing, but all gods aren't as nice as your aunt or myself. Gods hold long grudges against one another, and in turn their offspring, even though you related. You must remain alert, here in these woods you are safe under your Aunt, but the outside world is another thing." Demeter sighed. "It is a fact of the world."
Talla nodded growing solemn, "Yes....I understand...Demeter...." She said thinking deeply.
Metro gave her a hug, "Don't worry Talla I will keep you safe in the outside world....I will not let anyone touch you...." He said. Talla smiled at him. |
Artimis looked at the wolf at her feet and took off his weaponsand clothes. She then threw them aside and looked athim. "Sit." she said power lacing her voice. She knew her brother would not exactly like the the tactic she had used but he would not go against her. She then turned to Obelix and smiled. "I am sorry if I frightened you my friend." she said lightly the fire leaving her eyes.
Grinning at her as he shook his head. "Not frightened just surprised." He answered with a soft chuckle and a nod. "You have more than likely heard this before, but you are very beautiful Artimis." Obelix said softly with a gentle smile. He had meant nothing by it, but he felt she should know. Then he noticed that she had called him friend. A soft smile on his face again.
Balthazar looked at her tilting his head, Resisting the urge to sit down. "How is this supposed to change me?" he asked chuckleing slightly. "The little boy loves you..." he laughed as a wolf, knowing only she could hear him. "Ahh a week with out anything to do. this could be nice." he said trotting in a circle.
Athena nodded to Alana as the walked she turned to make sure the little siren was still with them. She smiled as they appeared back at the temple. Athena turned and looked at Alana. "I will be back shortly I am going to get her some herbs for her arm. Why don't you show her around Alana. This could be good for both of you."
Artimis ignored the warriors remarks and then looked at Obelix surprised. She had been told she was beautiful, but only by her brother. So when the heat rose on her cheeks she let her hair hide her face. "Silence wolf!" she snapped angerily knowing it sounded like mere growls and whines to Obelix's ears. "Thank you..." she said as she got a hold of herself and then looked at the wolf. "Unfortunately I must go. I have much to teach this one in such little time." she said looking at the wolf. "But I will be listening. I always am." she said smiling and looked at the wolf. "Come, we have a new round to make inthe forest." she said and walked towards the forest. She wasn't going to say anything about him resisting. Because he would find the crushing magic a very good compeller.
Demeter stretched and straightened her gown preparing to leave. "I must go now, I feel my neice has done something and thrown off the balance of the wolf population. I have to go make sure the prey it will feed on are fertile enough to support it. Plus I have a feeling she will be returning soon, and I don't want to be caught here in her woods." She giggled and winked.
