Yeah, I've been trying to work on that part. And it's weird because the first two I drew (Emma's and Azazel's gifts) had the heads at a better size. And the rest I seem to have trouble with.
Thanks, Sera. |
@ Liz, I hear you, it normally takes me forever to get everything in proportion. I find head and hands to be a huge pain, normally they're either too big or ridiculously small. I found the best thing to do was draw the circle person then slowly fill everything in so that it as all at least the same size. Then go from there. Like AZ pic Im' drawing has taken me ... I suppose about 2 hrs now of sketching and re sketching to get the proportion right, and I can tell you right now his one arm is till a bit longer but Im' going to leave it >.<
-sigh- almost time for work blegh |
Yeah, those are problem areas for me. And the breasts of females... I'm always making them way too big. :/ Thank you for the advice. I'm going to do that next time I draw.
*Grrs and emits bad mood arura*
*hides behind someone* Bad mood? :( What's wrong?
Np ^^ Normally when I draw the ladies I start with the boobs or the hips then go from there. I don't know if that might help you, but sometimes starting at a different point of the body can work.
I'll have to try that as well. My boyfriend thinks it's just me subconsciously wanting to give all females huge boobs, lol.
Plenty.
Stressed mostly. To the point of saying I quit life. |
That's not good at all. :( *hugs* I do hope you don't want to quit life.
lol, nothing wrong with big boobs... plus its kind of hard to draw them smaller I find that most of the women I draw are chesty
I agree. Small boobs are hard to draw. And it's weird because you would think it's less to draw.
Yeah but when they're flatter, its kinda like you're drawing a ladyboy ._.
Yeah. I like people to be able to tell if the person is male or female.
lol I agree ... So I take it you draw for a hobby? Have you ever taken any classes?
Yeah, it's a hobby. I took art class in high school for a year.
Ah, I'd recommend taking a class if you haven't before. I took a basic illustration class once a year or 2 back and since then I've noticed a huge improvement. It was really fun and interesting too and it was only like... once a week for about 5 weeks or so. But if you're not into that kind of thing, when I want to work on figure I'll grab a picture from a magazine I like and just start drawing it.
Hey everyone. Sorry I'm not really around.
I'm realizing I need more work on this material than I thought...grr... |
I actually would like to take an art class. Just too much stuff going on for me to do so.
Ah, well hopefully when you get more time, but if you have art that you would like to be critiqued I'd be happy to do so for you ^^ I'm not super fantastic artist myself so it may be less daunting than someone with mad skills. Although there are a ton of tutorials online now adays especially on youtube, maybe you'd find something interesting there.
@ Sera no worries ^^ I'm working now (not that my job is hard lol) anyway and drawing so my responses may be slower |
back! pietro can't draw though
I'll be sure to send some of my work to you. I love to get advice on things to fix to make my work better.
Pietro! *hugs* |
*is hugged*
Hey Liz |
Liz, is this the first time you have drawn in awhile?
No, I drew a couple pictures before it. But before those, it had been almost a year (I think) since I last drew anything.
---------- All my recent work is in the album on my profile page. |
I love the one of Kylie.
