Yeah that's why I've stayed away from pokemon. If you spend all that time leveling, and using abilities and what not you think would be best, only to have a random chance of them doing crap or nothing, etc.. I'd go insane.

That's FUCKING retarded.

Your HARD work should NEVER be spit on by complete luck and random generators.

This is one of the hardest achievements in Pokemon. The fact that you need a team capable of defeating 300 Pokemon in a ROW is enough of a challenge that deserves the reward. The fact that you can be on rank 99 and COMPLETELY loose due to some fucking LUCK based attack or set up is completely disgusting.

Maybe I'm just from the other side of the fence of I'm just lame. I've never been honestly mad at a game. I've never thrown a controller, never smashed anything, but thats just me. (Although I do trash talk on Halo for fun) :rofl:

But if games didn't have the generators or the dynamics they would be too plain and too easily beaten. The generators ARE what makes it a challenge. If they weren't there it would be too straight-forward, and the day the game was released people would post the exact stats they used to beat something and there would be no doubt in the thought of whether or not it would work. Generators are what make a game a good one.

Generators are acceptable. I don't have a problem with Generators for randomness. Randomness can dictate if you get a Pokemon or not, if it will show up, if it's shiny.

But things like this, where you get really high up, and you face a team that, realistically wouldn't have beaten out 80 other trainers to fight you for the 80th spot, and having the capability of EVERYTHING going right and just obliterating you, thus invalidating 3 hours of patience in a manner of 30 seconds is not right in the least bit.

Okay fine and good, there are still generators outside. However, if you take the generators out of the battle system, t becomes to linear.

I'm all for people who feel like they can rely on those cheap-as-fuck techniques to win. If it works for them, fine. I don't care.

What infuriates me is that theres NO way that a gimmick team like that could never climb to the top of a tournament list like that and face me.

I'm fine with the battle system having things like that. I just know for a fucking FACT that those mechanics should not exist in this particular challenge.

@Kylie: I disagree. I may not know that game specifically but I know the tortures of other games and I make an effort to make my own. I actually give you an educated opinion of why a game is what it is.
