Just a guy 06-02-2011 09:59 AM

I suppose counting my Fresh Meat thread, this is my third post to the forum. I guess I have two more to make before I can have pants. It might seem like a good incentive, because I do feel a bit put out standing around in my undies without another choice of clothes, but it's also a really nasty thing to do to people to have them forced to stand around in their underwear until they can think of something clever they'd like to say... Five times. Feel free to donate some manner of attire for me if you feel so inclined. My two cents here is that little part of this 'game' is not actually a good thing. Change it if you can.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-02-2011 10:02 AM

You think you stand out?! At least other new people look like you. Hardly anyone else wants to share my mostly nakedness~

Just a guy 06-02-2011 10:07 AM

Oh hey, clever me forgot to answer your question about the play on words you said before; "Just a guy" being a play on "Just a girl", and no. It wasn't meant that way, I was merely meaning I'm just another nameless face on the internet. And so... this is my fourth post on the board. ONE more to go right? Then I can have trousers? Do I feel a bit foolish? Is this degrading? Or do you think I am sexy in my nifty white boxers? hmmm. I thought this was a G rated group! *GRIN*.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-02-2011 10:11 AM

The boxers are kind of ugly. Maybe if you had just a different pair... oh well!

Hardly G... :XD

Just a guy 06-02-2011 10:16 AM

Having other naked people dressed or rather, undressed as my naked person isn't at all comforting. And you're right, these boxers are awful. But thank you for chatting with me about this point, as this makes it my fifth post. Great! As is your scant outfit, btw. Nicely done. Not G rated at all, too, though I personally would at least like some jeans as something a bit more modest.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-02-2011 10:26 AM

Have you tried playing any game to get some gold?

Haha. Jeans would make me feel constricted after being "naked" like this for so long.
Weeeird.

The_Crow 06-02-2011 10:38 AM

Just a guy- My charity is set up so that new users can get acclimated, their posts needn't be 'witty'. The site ITSELF does not give you anything for free. I am willing to give out free things, but I don't want people to take said free and RUN. I want to get to know them, how they came to the site, what their interests are, and other forum regulars make friends with them as well.

Actually, for roleplaying purposes the site is PG-13, not "G". I know you're being somewhat sarcastic but you are sincerely making me feel a bit bad by criticizing the criteria of my charity. The posts are supposed to be in the "New Users First Stop" thread where all the other old hats can help you, but since this thread is my brainchild as well I'll make an exception this once. People around the site are generally nice, and you will get a fairly humble 'starter shirt' and I will use the randomizer to give you a surprise gift accessory. If you don't like it, you can sell it back to the store or in the marketplace.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-02-2011 10:48 AM

Crow is so kind.

The_Crow 06-02-2011 10:59 AM

Ikuto Akihiko: Thank you -scratches head- That's the general consensus despite the fact I look like the walking dead...

Just a guy- In case the site doesn't give you a notice, you will need to click the "Trades" link to find shirt and your random surprise- an event item from valentine's- heart lantern. It kind of matches Ikuto's signature. It comes in a variety of colours and poses, and if you don't like it it sells for an average of 100:gold: in the marketplace.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-02-2011 11:00 AM

Kindness doesn't have a face! xD

Kah Hilzin-Ec 06-02-2011 12:37 PM

Nobody here does really have a face... :P

ljosberinn 06-02-2011 04:49 PM

...what? This is totally related. >.>

I never minded the whole not-getting-any-clothes-for-free-when-you-join thing. It's pretty easy to earn gold on here and it feels so much better if you feel like you've earned your first outfit rather than just get it for signing up.
Then again, I went on a bit of a posting mania when I first joined, so it didn't take me long to get a basic outfit. And at least you have games, there weren't really any games when I first joined, and certainly not ones where you could earn gold so easily as the new ones.

sarofset 06-02-2011 06:46 PM

Aye and besides that all the clothes you get for free on other sites, are kinda... boring.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-02-2011 09:19 PM

Lmao Jos.

Yeah I don't mind not having clothes when you start out either.
I just don't see it as that big of a deal. xD

Kah Hilzin-Ec 06-02-2011 09:37 PM

Hahahaha oh my that picture...

I wasn't very talkative when I first joined, and that was back when the only game was the other fishing game and you could only play by having gold to spend on bait first, so it took me like a month to obtain my first shoes...

The second month and the months to come, I got better though  It's just a matter of finding a place to chat with people you know you won't run out of things to talk about.

sarofset 06-02-2011 11:16 PM

Indeed. It's also nice having controversial views on major issues, to allow for some debate in threads about those issues. :) Leads to nice long posts, and nice long conversations. Lots of gold, and you tend to make friends. That's how I met Crow. :)

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-03-2011 12:50 AM

Oh wow, you had to pay for bait? XD
When I joined, they didn't have a game I was good at so that was lost gold right there.

I agree, it's also a matter of finding a place to chat. Back then I didn't really have one so I would go on hiatuses quite often.

Eh... I'm not into having debates with people. I do things to avoid it.

Kah Hilzin-Ec 06-03-2011 12:55 AM

I used to be a Debates monster. But sometimes it can become a pit of absolute doom, so I just up and left :XD

sarofset 06-03-2011 12:55 AM

I just try to find places where people will talk to me without being grouchy. or being weirded out by my rather odd personality. lol.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-03-2011 01:00 AM

Lmao Kah. xD

Eh.. I don't know if it's just Mene or what... I'm just uncomfortable debating with people here.
I think because I see the majority of people here as full of themselves so I don't consider it really worth my time to throw my opinion at them and risk starting something.

sarofset 06-03-2011 01:04 AM

Well, this is the internet. lol. No greater concentration of people who think they're infallible in the world... aside from politicians.

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-03-2011 01:07 AM

...Lawl. Right.

Kah Hilzin-Ec 06-03-2011 01:08 AM

It's not that they're full of themselves... it's that they have time AND google to aid them inmediatly, which isn't the case for when you have to debate in real life :P

Ikuto Akihiko Hasegawa 06-03-2011 01:11 AM

It's not whether they really are full of themselves or not. It's that I perceive them that way. For myself...

Kah Hilzin-Ec 06-03-2011 01:12 AM

Chatting for fun is still more entertaining than debating anyway :XD
