This chinese food has a poor noodle to soggy vegitable ratio

It is quite disappointing. Honestly, how much wilted lettuce do I TRULY need to eat in one sitting -headshake-

What is your worst take-out experience?

Panda-nee 02-28-2010 07:47 PM

I could feed a small third world country with all the takeout orders I've had screwed up...burned food, soggy food, undercooked food, just plain not what I ordered food.
:illgetu:I said no bean sprouts because I'm allergic weren't you listening?

I also dislike when your order two orders of something and they only make one order but split it between to containers to make it seem like you got two. ::Vein in head pops::

YumikoYoshihana 02-28-2010 07:57 PM

Wow, you've had a lot of bad take out experiences huh?

I havn't really had many of those.... Usually things are what I would expect....

Although once i went to a mcdonalds drive through and they said they didn't have the dollar menu. I wanted a cheeseburger and some fries. I did not understand why they couldn't just give me a cheeseburger and some fries. It's fucking McDonalds for christ sakes....

Doesn't really happen to me, but my boyfriend is picky about his fast food, so when there's pickles/sauce/beans he throws a hissy fit. = w=;; Sometimes he gets a new order for free, though o:

Some sweet and sour sauce got into my steamed rice once. That was a wonderful discovery, man.
One time my pad thai was bland when I ordered super spicy, so I put some sriracha in it. <3

I never really notice if they've screwed up my order, since it tastes good anyway x3
Maybe our food industry workers are SO PRO? Or think I'll complain to their manager. Ahahaha~

I go to Panda Express every Friday afternoon with my friends.
I said "orange chicken" and she got me sweet and sour chicken.. Then the person behind me got the last of the orange chicken so even if I went back I would have to wait another 20 mins for the new batch to come in. No takeout, but it still sucked a lot. ):

I like how my mom can make Chinese and it's better than take out. ^^ Ah, so good to be Asian. The worst take out I have, I have never experiences it. o.o So sorry you guys have too. </3

Yea, i got a free blizzard at a dairy queen when they messed up my order. I felt bad because i think people get in trouble with that and it just sucks to screw up at work anyway. But i really wasn't in the mood for reeses over m&ms >.<

I don't usually tend to make a big deal out of order mess ups, unless there's something i truly don't like that i asked to be left out, like bacon. I hate bacon, and when something is cooked with it it all tasts like bacon >.< Mushrooms i can eat around though

and i always wondered; how different is actual chinese food from take out? I know it's different, but i never know how...

The title of this thread made me laugh so hard!

My worst takeout experience was getting a doner kebab and finding gravel in it. I washed my mouth out for a LONG time.. could have overdosed on that mouthwash I had.

hillary84 03-01-2010 03:58 AM

My worst take out experience was, that I had ordered a pizza and they had lost it. :( They told me I had to pay for it even if it was their fault. Haven't been there since.

kabbiee 03-01-2010 04:26 AM

I'm picky, so I just complain. Sometimes they want to get me out of there so fast that they give me another one free :D
So I take both orders home and feed one of them to my dog, Lucie.

>.<
Its a great way to get free food.
I havent had many bad experiences, once i got a hamburger instead of french fries, though I have NO IDEA how they confused the two.
I guess you have to have an IQ less that 100 to work at MacDonalds.
Oh well.
I guess I'm luckier than others, things pretty much always go right. xD

Son Zack 03-01-2010 05:57 PM

I laughed at the title. Thank you so much for that xD

I hate when there is too much bok choy and/or green onions in my lo mein D: Totally ruins it!

But I would totally give anything to have ANY take out right now. I moved last year and there are NO take out Chinese restaurants ANYWHERE around. I hate it! I used to be able to walk like two blocks and get take out anytime I wanted and now there are only nice restaurants around and I don't always have money for those. I like the take out flavor! I don't always want fancy! I would kill for some beef lo mein or General Tso's Chicken from China 1 right now.

I've never had bad take out experiences aside from the occasional mistake of screwing up my order or not listening to me properly.

Honestly, I've had more bad experiences in sit-down restaurants.

I'll never forget this one time I went to Dennys and I had ordered a cherry-limeade drink. Well, you know the cliche bunch of fruit that they pierce with a fake plastic sword that they put to the side of the drink? Well under it, there was this GIANT slime-green loogie that someone had either purposely or mistakenly hocked up!

I never go there without checking my food first.

Getting a pizza delivered with one slice missing. I guess the driver was hungry?

ElendarSilvermoon 03-02-2010 01:12 AM

I've never had any terrible experiences with food messups...though, being in the food industry, it annoys me when people come through drive thru....or front counter for that matter...in the middle of a huge rush (and the workers are obviously busy as hell) and order enough food to feed a small army, then piss and moan when one or two things are wrong with their order.

Have some patience and a bit of sympathy for the workers who are getting their ass whooped while you order $20+ worth of food items all with special things taken off or added.

Not saying that any of you are like that though, but from the worker's side of the counter I get far too many excessively angry customers whining that they got lettuce on an item that they didn't want it on (and even more that complain about it when they didn't even order it without lettuce in the first place -foreheadsmack-)

I remember going to this Chinese restuarant, which also had a buffet and I saw the food. Like...everything was extremely watery and soggy and just....gross. That was the only thing that was going through my mind as I looked on the soggy food. Gross. So I looked at my boyfriend and was like..."Yea, we're going somewhere else."

Inoko Clan-Clan 03-24-2010 11:14 PM

That's just disappointing. :( The Golden Sun is a mega win! Especially the potstickers! Yum!
