Yea, all the others go by Rick too (my brother is Ricky!) except I do call my boyfriend by his full name, since he was called "Richie" growing up and he hated it! I feel weird calling him anything else but Richard! We also only see eachother twice a year for a month and a half.. and we've been doing that for 4 years, so I kind of know how the distance feels :( You just gotta keep going with it and stay optimistic! ---------- More power to you for being with a Marine, though. It's probably tough ...but damn, those men are hot. :XD |
Oh, it's nothing bad... Just most think that we're dorky -- because we are! :P Adorably Cute Evil Dork (A.C.E.D.) And haha! Yeah, Rick has always gotten on my case about calling him Richard, which I only do when he's done something to annoy me. Lol. "Richard Lee!!" To which he always responds "Isabelle Anne!!!" :XD Awe! Yeah, distance is hard, we're allowed to text and phone calls, he does have his phone on him this time, thanfkully. He's still in training. So that helps a bit. It is tough, I nearly wanted to strangle him when he told me he was joining last year. But I'm there for him, just it's hard at times to keep my brave face on. And I TOOOOOTALLY agree! :yes: |

I yell "RICHARD ANDREW" when I'm -super- pissed at him.. because that's how my mom could call my name when she was mad at me when I was very young.. she'd always go "MONICA MARY" and I'd pee myself. So whenever I yell that, he knows he's in trouble lol I guess my mom's angry voice is genetic :XD The distance won't be there much longer for me, since we're moving in together next summer! It'll be the greatest thing to ever happen to meeee!! :squee: No more teary airport good-byes! *excited* I'm glad you were there for him.. news like that is really hard to take in, but it just shows what a kindhearted selfless person you are and you'll do anything for the one you love. Sometimes couples have to go through trials like that, but if you support each other than nothing can stand in your way :yes: not even thousands of miles! |

Oh, thanks! Yeah, totally long story behind that name that will take too long to explain. :P Haha! Yeah, I apparently have that no nonsense get your butt back in here now voice as well.... xD Oh, that's great to hear! :heart: Oh, yeah, those are the worst. When he left again in January -- Last week -- (He won't be back till the week before our wedding) I was with him at the airport and I kept on telling him that I wouldn't cry.... and myself as well. And what did I do? I totally made a total mess of myself. So hard to see him go again. :( Oh, it is definately hard to take in. I was totally shocked when I found out. Really unable to really think at all. I don't really remember much of anything else from that week or so after I found out. I was pretty much going around in a daze. He was telling me, before that he was talking to recruiters, but not that he was actually really thinking of joining. And he's always been there for me. He really does seem to love it, even though he keeps on telling me that he misses me something terrible! As I miss him as well! We've already been through so much, with everything that's happened since we graduated from High School. We can survive this, even though this is going to be harder than everything that's gotten in our way, or challenged us so far. Anyway, I'll be back in a bit, I have to write up something for my drama class that's in about an hour. Totally forgot that there was more than just memorization to this assignment. |
