I'm not Alice ( Cursed and Cheshire)
Marry had always grown up with two things one was her mother's wild tales of a place called wonderland. she never thought they where real no matter how much her mother Alice insisted they where. her mother even recalled the tree in which she had seen the white rabbit. The other was the knowledge that she was a near perfect clone of her mother, so to speak. she looked almost exactly the same save for the eye color where her mothers eyes where blue her own are a more common color of brown.
her mother would always insist every Saturday after noon that they have a pic-nick, when she was little Marry had enjoyed these pic-nicks they weren't the everyday regular ones. no, Alice would always tell the tale of the mad Hatter and how the pic-nicks imitated that of his tea party. however as marry neared Adult hood she started to take less enjoyment out of her mother's rantings and begun to get more and more embarrassed by them until that embarrassment turned to resentment. She did not understand how her mother could believe such wild imagines where true. that is until one day shortly after her father's death, she took a walk with her mother. Marry wondered off on her own after blowing up on her mother about how her story's were not real. as she wondered off she came upon an old oak tree, she sat down under it however she spotted an old hallow that looked big enough to fit a whole person in it. As curious as her mother was at her age she decided to explore it however she soon found the earth giving away under her hands and knees, she screamed as she fell down an impossibly deep hole. (( sorry for the length and for the 4th person writing style, I normally write in 3td or 2sc. however I wanted to get some plot into my first post ;D)) |
((Well, by Hatter, it's fine, love. :D And this is what my character's gonna look like. It's all mixed up even more in Wonderland. I'll be this character, the new Mad Hatter, and the old Cheshire.

Ruddie swished his tail at the beat of his pocketwatch, then fixed his hat that had been in an awkward position. It wasn't quite in Wonderland. Sounds filled the air, and he counted 'One two three, one two three...' "One two, one two, and through and through..." A quote from the infamous poem, the Jabberwock. Speaking of Jabberwock, it was after him, and he hit his boots harder on the soil to speed up, but he just kept grinning as he skipped out of Tulgy Wood, his overcoat covered in dirt. Ruddie finally got to a safer place. But he was suddenly landed on. His tail twitched under the girl, unpleasently in pain. |
Marry hadn't realized she had landed on someone. in fact she had thought he was moss, she rose to her feet groaning and brushing her self off " where am I?" She muttered softly to her self unaware she had said it out load. she started to turn on the spot looking in all directions. she finally saw the odd man/ cat creature and gasped.

"Ow..." Ruddie muttered, climbing to his feet and brushing himself off. He was about to bark at the girl, when he suddenly shut his mouth and looked at her very closly, almost going nose-to-nose with her, his whiskers brushing up against her cheeks.
"Hmmm... Alice of Legend?" He asked, his tail swaying in the background. |
She backed away from him, " what are you?" she asked stunned into ruddiness where as her mother had always kept her polite demeanor. where was she? and who and what was this odd man...was it even a man? what if she never went home? then the last thing she would have ever said to her mother would be that she was crazy....

"Well," said Ruddie (BTW, pronounced Rude-y) "I'm not really sure..." He looked down at himself, then back up, grinning. A trait that he'd gotten from his dear cousin. The rest was from his father, the former Mad Hatter. Now his brother was taking hold of the Tea Table and he was off doing whatever.
He held out his hand to her, on hand behind his back and he cleared his throat. "I am Ruddie D. Cheshire Hatter. The D. I have no clue what it stands for, 'cause I change my name every day. However, that is my true name.... 'cept for the D'...." He stared off into space so suddenly that he just ended up staring right at her and not paying attention to the Jabberwock that was still following him and running right up behind him. |
She gave him an odd look, why would one change they're name? then she saw the even odder character behind him " um...Mr. Cheshire?" She asked while staring at the thing headed towards them. " I do believe we should run" She stated what ever it was didn't look happy.

Ruddie looked at her questioningly, then looked over his shoulder, then back at her. "Ah, right, the Jabberwock. Well, then... why run when we can skip?!" He suddenly grabbed her hand and literally just skipped, but it was so quick, it was faster than running. But that's how it was in Wonderland.
Ruddie skipped, dragging the girl behind him as he made his way towards a tree, and climbed into its trunk. He pulled the girl along with, and had just got her in when the Jabberwock's jaws snapped just a few millimeters away from Ruddie's hat. He just grinned, and his eyes lit up from the darkness, an eerie gold. |
Marry gave an odd face as he started to skip pulling her alone with him. " but wouldn't running be faster Mr.Cheshire?" she yelled/ asked. she also didn't think sitting in the tree would do much good however the thing snapped at then gnashing it's teeth. which made her Scream and bury her face into Ruddie's shoulder. frightened " what is that thing?" she asked him her brown eyes wide

Ruddie's ear flicked. "It's the Jabberwock. You never heard of the Jabberwock? AAAAaaahh... 'Twas brillg, and the slithy toves, did gyre and gimble, in the wabe. All mimsy were the borogoves and the mome raths outgrabe!!" He sang while the Jabberwock kept snapping at the two, until it gave up and then just ran off, snorting with disatisfaction.
Ruddie let out a sigh of relief, then jumped out of the tree and held out his arms for the girl to jump. "M'lady," he said, nodding with encouragement. "By the way, just call me Ruddie, please, Miss.....?" |
She started at him wondering if this poor soul was in possession of his wits. she jumped down gladly into his arms relived that the jabberwock, as Ruddie called it, was gone. " Its Marry" she said lightly " Alice Is my mother...wait if you knew of my mother does this mean this is wonderland?" She asked him complete surprise and shock on her face.

Ruddie let out a loud chuckle. "Know you mother, dear child? But of course not! I've only heard stories and... wait, did you say you are Alice of Legend's CHILD?!" He suddenly let out a cry of joy and then lifted her into the air, watching his claws so he didn't scratch her. "Oh, caloo calay! OH HAPPY DAY! THE DAUGHTER OF THE ALICE OF LEGEND! WELCOME! WELCOME! WELCOME!" He grinned so wide his eyes were forced shut.
"Come, come!" He says, skipping with her still in his arms. "We must go see my brother! He'll be so found to meet you!" |
She gave small cry of surprise as she was suddenly lifted into the air " please put me down?" She asked him however this was not heeded as she was carried off in this cat-man's arms. ' great I'm being kidnapped by a muntinant house pet' she thought to her self as she simply quited and allowed it to happen " why are you so excited that Alice was my mother?" She asked him

"Why?! WHY?!" Ruddie screeched at the top of his lungs, making a loud yowl. "Because, Alice of Legend is a hero for us. The Queen may be a little upset, but still, she has left more madness behind than before!"
They finally reached the gate to the Tea Party Garden. He entered it and then set the girl down and rushed over to where his brother, Hatter and the Maddie March were singing the Unbirthday song. "A VERY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!" They sang out, and Ruddie grinned. "YOU GUYS! IT'S ALICE OF LEGEND'S DAUGHTER! MERRY!" He said it right, but if he would've written her name down, it would've been spelt wrong. "MERRY!? MERRY MERRY UNBIRTHDAY, RUDDIE!" Shouted Maddie with glee. She loved Ruddie, they were all best friends for quite some time now, however, she tended to ignore whatever he said, and just praise him instead. Hatter, however, heard, and the dark looking man with the hat looked up from his hat and then a smile slowly lifted his lips. As Ruddie continued to carry her, even when they reached his destination. she began to wiggled lightly " Mr.Cheshire, please let me down? I'm not a doll" She complied lightly as she noticed the odd new people.

"Oh, right, sorry, Miss." Ruddie said, and literally just dropped her. Not meaning to be rude, but he was just so excited.
Hatter rose from his favorite chair (one no one could sit in) and bowed to the new girl. "Good evening, Miss Daughter of Alice called Merry." That was all he said, for he sat down in his chair again, promping his feet up onto the table and fell asleep. Maddie, however, ran over to Ruddie and hugged him, glaring at Marry. "RUDDIE'S MINE!" She shouted, her bunny ears flapping. Ruddie frowned and pushed her away. "Relax, this is the daughter of Alice, fair as she may be, she MUST be addressed as a guest, Maddie, and not a common girl." He hissed the last part, but Maddie still smiled. "I'm Maddie, Merry." She chirped, and held out her hand, grinning. Ruddie purred. |
Marry sighed as she got up brushign her self off " don't worry i am not after him" She said simply " i tend not to look for suitors out side of my speices" she didn't like How Ruddie was suddenly trying to make people treat her well just becouse of who her mother was. she supposed he would find out sooner or later she was not like her mother.

Ruddie's ears went flat for a second, but then he just shook his head and straightened his coat. "Well, then. Tea, Ms. Merry?" He asked, showing her to the table.

She sat down where he indicated however she politely declined tea " no Thank you mr. Cheshire, My mother said the Tea had a nasty habit of getting one drunk" She said lightly

Ruddie, amuzed, looked at his friends, and Maddie and Hatter burst out laughing. "It will only get you drunk, my dear," said the Hatter snorting, "If you drink a drunk one!"
The party creatures burst out laughing even more and fell off their chairs. Finally, Ruddie sat up, and dropped a couple sugar cubes into his tea. He was starting to get fidgety, so his tail started freaking out behind him. |
Poor Merry did not get it at all. " how would one tell if it is drunk one?" she asked him very very confused. she watched as they all fell off of they're chairs. she tilted ehr head and watched as Ruddie's Tail got a nervouse twitch to it

Hatter and Maddie stopped laughing, and Maddie glared at the girl. "Stupid Oyster!" She shouted.
Ruddie's brows came together. "Be quiet, Maddie. Fine, if you can't be polite, we'll leave!" Ruddie rose, his tail knocking several teapots over. He wasn't angery with Hatter, just Maddie and how rude she was. He took Merry's hand and led her away from the Garden and back into the forked pathways. "Where do you wish to get to?" He asked, not looking at her as his tail began to flip out and his ear flicked with irritation. |
Merry rose and fallowed along behind him she glanced back apolitically at the pair left at the table she didn't know why Ruddie was so angry. She waited a bit before she asked him though not wanting him to blow up. when they reached the forked road she spoke up " Ruddie?" She questioned " why are you so upset?"

Ruddie eyed the new girl out of the corner of his yellow eye. "I'm not upset with you... Just Maddie can be quite the mouth sometimes." He smiled and then licked his chops. "Where do you want to get to?"

Merry looked up at him " Home of corase" She said simply, however what she didn't know was that Alice was the only one who knew how to get 'home'. " and you know you defending me will only make her more restenfull towards me" She reasoned with him, yet at the same time made it clear she could take care of her self...in that particular setting.
