Hello! I saw this site advertisement on facebook and decided to join! <3
I am an older gaia member (2005) who has lost all hope for gaia, which is being ruled over by n00bs and get rich quick people who can afford to spend their real money on gaia. I can't. ): Plus, its not even safe there anymore for older users. Most of the newer people try to get us banned for no reason, which makes me sad because I earned all of my items the hard way. :cry: So, I am here in hopes of experiencing the old version of gaia and I want to belong to a fun social networking site again. :yumeh2: Plus the avatar customizing options are awesome. o3o;;; Anyone into anime/video games!? I'm into anime myself.
Your reason is the reason I quit Gaia myself, and in time a while later I found Menewsha as it started. I recently tried to return and found my account banned, and I'd been gone for years. I tried to find out for curiosity sake and they wouldn't even get back to me. :lol: Welcome to Menewsha, I can assure you we're much different community wise. The rules are well enforced and everyone's friendly. |

I too am an veteran of Gaiaonline, also from 2005. Believe me, I know exactly what you mean. I followed one of my fellow oldbie friends here, and I most certainly have not regretted the decision. So, welcome to Menewsha. Trust me, you aren't the only one who compare this site to Gaia in its heyday. Me, I never got over when they removed Gaia's designation as an "anime roleplaying" site. So, I rather suspect that you're going to like it here. |
To Rusalka: Your account was banned and you weren't on? o.o Argh. D:< Gaia fail. ><; Yeah, I had a lot of older friends and one of them did the whole exchange thing to get her gold. Unfortunately, she never checked the items she got for cheap because she had been selling for years. This lead to her being banned because apparently she sold an item that wasn't real, without realizing it. I told the admins in person what had happened and they shrugged it off.
Recently the admins have been too mean as well. Like, I'd go to fanime con and say hi to them, go to their panels, go to the parties,etc. In the past they were more friendly. Now they just ignore you and the events at the con have become less personal each year. It saddens me. Anyways..... :3 What kind of anime and video games do you guys like? ^-^ My anime favorites are: Hellsing, Junjou Romantica, Ouran High School Host Club, Kuroshitsuji, Naruto, Bleach, Trigun, Outlaw Star, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Paranoia Agent, FLCL, Full Metal Alchemist, D. Gray-Man, Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Shamploo, Hetalia, Ghost in the Shell, Azumanga Daioh, Avatar (I think the series is technically an anime. o.o; ), Vampire Knight, Gravitation, and many more I can't think of or remember the names too. ><; My favorite video games: FF7, FF10, Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, .hack//G.U. vol. 1-3, Silent Hill series, Prototype, Kingdom Hearts series, FF Crystal Bearers, Pokemon: Silver to Platinum (getting soul silver next week! ~ ), Castlevania series, Deadspace (the more recent one), FF Crisis Core, FF Dissidia, Jack and Daxter series, Devil May Cry series, Spore, Sims 2, Soul Calibur, Naruto Storm, Naruto Shipuuden Clash of Ninja Revolution 3, The World Ends with You, Ninja Gaiden, and more. :3 I like all types, but I generally stick to jrpgs. ^-^;; ---------- To Jethren: Thanks for welcoming me. ^-^; When did they remove that description? I can't remember, maybe cause I don't go on too often...but I did notice how they leaned away from it. I thought the changes were good at the beginning because I wanted the MMO, and cooler items, but then it all got out of hand. The inflation is really bad too. Well, my biggest advice? Post a lot. Be active. Here the gold is determined by how much you have to say, and there's no lurker gold. Also, play the games. They earn gold (to a 500g cap, so you still have to use the forums), and they're really fun.
As for favorite anime...I dunno. It's hard to pick one. FLCL was awesome, I love most that I watch though. I guess I just like the ones with humor and maybe a bit of action...which is most anime. ^^ I don't like it when they're overly stupid (like Bo-Bo-Bo), but there aren't many I don't like. In games...I'm kinda the same way. My favorites, though, are RPGs. Again, a lot of what you listed I can say "Me too!" A few others would be Skies of Arcadia, Ephemeral Phantasia, Persona 4, FF6/8/9/etc..., Legend of Mana, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross. |
I've heard a lot of good things about Persona 4. ^-^; Yeah, I generally don't watch the more silly animes. I do watch funny ones, but they aren't as ridiculous. :3

There is one truly ridiculous anime that I watch, and that's Gurren Laggen...which I may have misspelled. Somehow, even though that one is absurdly over-the-top, it works. It's just serious enough to be taken seriously, but the fights they go overboard...which works better than if they did not, with how strong they're supposed to be. Unlike DBZ where the far-more-powerful characters seem never to do much more than the weaker ones.
Persona 4...it's great. The characters, for me at least, were really engaging. I actually find myself caring about my in-game friends...it makes the Bad Ending really sting though. |
I love Gurren Laggen! <3 I haven't been able to finish watching it though. I started reading the manga when it came out and I watched a couple of episodes. After school gets out I am planning on watching it all the way through.
What console is Persona 4 on? |
I have Persona 4 on PS2. I don't think it's on any other console. It's actually pretty old school in a lot of ways, but it make up for that with awesomeness. There's something quite satisfying about stunning all the enemies in a battle and then having your whole party bum-rush them for the win (and I mean that, if you stun all the enemies, your party will all attack at once in a big dog-pile type brawl).

Oh wow! I've never met another person who liked Re:CoM before. I had the original Chain of Memories on Gameboy Advance and played through the whole thing. I have to confess, though, that knowing the story has made me lazy about playing through "Re".

I LOVE Re: CoM! I got my roommate into it too. <3 I was level 81 when I finished it. oAo I have been so obsessed with beating it thoroughly this time around because I didn't do so in the game boy advanced version. .-. I think its better then the original. :3 Better graphics, voice actors, game play is better, etc. <3 And its on my favorite console.

Well, my favorite console is the Dreamcast, but I suppose that PS2 comes in a close second. xD If there's one console I can't stand, though, it would have to be the DSi. Ever used the internet on that? Or, I should say "Tried to use the internet." It just doesn't work! They added a bunch of features that either aren't as fun or don't work, and they removed the backwards compatibility. I just can't stand it.

lol I mainly use my PS2, which I am in love with. I don't have a DSi, just a DS lite, but my sister does. The internet isn't that great, but I like some of the features. The photo editing is fun. It does suck that it isn't backwards compatible. It sucks that the PS3 isn't either. >: ( I do plan on getting on eventually if only for Final Fantasy vs. 13. I really want that game so bad. >< My two favorite square enix teams worked on it. D: So it must be amazing.~ I got a xBox 360 and I do love it. I also love how its more awesome then the PS3 and all the PS3 games are on it too. :'D It saves me money. :X I want a WII though. ;A; My sister has one, but I'm at college and when I'm home she doesn't share. ;3; I also have an old PSP that's a great portable dvd player.

Hi! Yeah, everyone seems to be really awesome around here. :3 I think I'm going to plan for an art shop. I've always wanted a successful one, but Gaia had so many of them that I never got any business. -_-;;
As for anime, I listed them up above. ^-^; I am currently watching Vampire Night, Naruto, and Bleach. ;3 I forgot to add Sukisho and Gakuen Heaven to my list though. ><; |
