Haha yeah, always having a map with us would be useful, even if somewhat inconvenient. I even managed to get us lost, when my ex and I were just going to the supermarket to get something for dinner. It was one of those awesome moments where she was reminded why it is not a good idea to trust my sense of direction. To say she was pissed off at me after wards might be an understatement. T_T In saying that, I think her annoyance was completely justified, as I turned what should have been a 40min or so walk, into one which took about 2 hours!

As for general knowledge, you will also find me lacking in that department too. Actually the more I think about it, the less sense it makes for me to be anyone's tour guide. O.O

Did you try looking at someones profile page? It is irrelevant whose profile page you look at, as you will find what you are looking for on any.

It is kind of odd how you are able to draw similarities between your bf and myself. It almost makes me worry about what kind of bf it is that you have. If they are too close to me, then my heart would truly cry for you O.O;

As for the guide thing, that is essentially what we had to do for our last trip. We went online and looked at a variety of different tourist attractions et cetera and just ended up picking the ones which looked appealing. It was a fairly hit and miss thing. Although on the whole it was a pretty nice experience! The good times certainly outweighed the bad.

As for the clue, it is a link which is on any profile page. As Boy Toy mentioned it is much like the link you had to find for the creative clue. Does this help?
