Yes, you do need to have an out of town friend visit to get the final Nook update. You also have to spend a certain amount of money, no clue how much.
I just lucked out that Krokodil bought it (since I have no type of Wi-fi) and we visited each other to change our stores lol. |

I don't know if you can but I want to try. Otherwise I will never get the hair salon! Unless getting it in City Folk is different than getting it in Wild World.

Hmmm maybe I'll get it for the Wii and see if it's possible cause I have that same problem! and it would give me something to play on my Wii for a change :D
