Thanks! I'd love to be friends. :)

ljosberinn 03-13-2010 07:04 PM

Thanks - I was just told I managed to scare someone's 17-year-old brother, but good to know someone appreciates it. :P

fjkfjkfjklllm 03-13-2010 07:06 PM

I always appreciate mohawks and bare chests. ;)

ljosberinn 03-13-2010 07:11 PM

Well then I must say, you have fantastic tastes. ;) I really need a real life haircut, I doubt I could get it up into a good mohawk as it is.. sides are getting too long too. Maybe I should go just like my avatar and dye it purple too, haha.

fjkfjkfjklllm 03-13-2010 07:21 PM

Why, thank you. I don't regularly get haircuts. Mine is super curly, so it always looks kind of short. Haha, purple hair is always a great choice for color.

ljosberinn 03-13-2010 07:30 PM

Curly hair is goooood. Is it like super frizzy curly? And what colour? I've kept the same haircut for about a year now, it's weird.. super short sides, enough hair for a decent mohawk on top and then long in the back. I've also just kept it bleached for almost a year, before that I did all sorts of colours, usually a few at a time.. purple, green, blue, pink.. it was rad. :) Kind of want to go back to that, but at the same time I like the bleached, so not sure what to do. Until I decide I'll just keep it as it is anyway. P:

fjkfjkfjklllm 03-13-2010 07:34 PM

Nah, it's not super frizzy curly. It's nice curly. I have blonde hair. Like a golden blonde color. That sounds like a fantastic hair cut! Ugh, my mom would kill me if I died my hair a color like that. I think bright, crazy colors are wonderful. :P But bleached is good, too.

ljosberinn 03-13-2010 07:45 PM

Yay blonde curls! They are the best kind, or at least I think so. ^______^ Aw, boring parent is boring. My mum didn't really mind, and even if she did, I was in another country so it's not like she could've done much about it. But she's generally pretty permissive about all sorts of things.. if she weren't I'd just have to remind her of some of the things she did as a teenager. xD
Bright and crazy colours are indeed wonderful. Better yet if they're neon and/or glow in the dark! I broke my leg a few weeks back and for the last cast I got I asked for a black one, specifically so I could paint glow in the dark swirly stuff on it. It looks fantastic - went to a rave and it looked even fantasticer (is a word now, ok) in the UV light. :D

fjkfjkfjklllm 03-13-2010 07:48 PM

I agree. ;] Oh, I couldn't live a country away from my mom. That sounds exactly what I'd do. But my mom never died her hair, so I can't use that against her. :/
Ohmylawd, that's amazing! Except for the broken leg part... Glow in the dark stuff is some of the best stuff ever! I've never been to a rave. Maybe it's because I'm only 15... but nonetheless! xD;

ljosberinn 03-13-2010 07:52 PM

To be honest, I used to think I wouldn't be able to either. But now I'm here and it's just fantastic. Though I didn't exactly go far either.. Iceland -> UK. I love living on my own, and I think everyone should try living in a different country at some point. When you get a bit older and more confident, you should definitely go for it if you get the chance.
I don't think my mum dyed her hair either, but she did pierce her ears multiple times and stick a safety pin through her cheek, stuff like that.. which I think is more extreme than dying your hair. xD
I just went to my first rave late last year, love it though.. everyone is so friendly, the music is amazing, the colours everywhere and everyone dresses amazingly.. just my scene! We don't have that at home so I'm really glad I'm getting to try it out while I'm here. :D

fjkfjkfjklllm 03-13-2010 07:57 PM

Oh, wow! I'd love to live over there. Specifically in Ireland. It seems so beautiful over there! I'll definitely take a few years and live somewhere else. :D
That sounds ridiculously painful. I think that's a little too extreme for me. xDD Ughh! I'm so jealous! I live in a podunk town, so we don't have ANYTHING like that around here. :/

ljosberinn 03-13-2010 08:10 PM

I've never been to Ireland, would love to go there though, sounds awesome. And I really want to go to Scotland again at some point, I've been once with my family but I'd love to go there on a road trip with friends or something, go during the summer and camp.. that would be ace. I'm going to uni in London though, which is great. Love this city so much, there's so much to do.. unlike where I come from.. our capital is like small towns in most other countries.. xD
You from the States?
Yeah I've only got one piercing in my left earlobe, considering getting my lip pierced though.. and I'm going to get my first tattoo done soon! Probably gonna go next week when I'm rid of the cast, to celebrate being able to walk again, haha.

fjkfjkfjklllm 03-13-2010 08:14 PM

Ah~ I'd love to go to Scotland, too! Everything is so...green and bright, and cool weather is great, too. :D I wish I could go to London! I'll have to get a job and save up for years, though. xD
Yep, the good ol' U.S.A. Sometimes I don't really like it, since all the political crap gets under your skin.
I have to get my ears re pierced for the third time soon. I'm gonna beg my mom for a nose piercing for my birthday. I want a tattoo, but I'm gonna wait until I'm 20 or so, so I don't get one at 18 that I won't want when I get older. My brother does tattoos, so it's a big part of my life. I'm the only kid out of my siblings that doesn't have one. xDD;

ljosberinn 03-13-2010 08:23 PM

Yeah it is, and ohgosh, someone who agrees with me about cool weather! xD I can't stand too much heat.. anything above 30°C is too much for me.
Hehe I'm terrible.. I hardly saved up for this at all, just decided it was time I left home, applied for universities for the next year and got in. Am living off student loans though, and that's going to come back to haunt me later.. but well, that's later, and now is now. Better enjoy it while I can. :D

I really want to go to the US.. in fact, I want to tour them, just travel around for a couple of months and see it all! That might get expensive as hell though... and I want to do the same with Africa.. and the Middle East.. and Asia.. and Europe.. >____>
Top of my list at the moment though are Africa and the US. I want to try to go next year, when I've finished my degree. Just travel around like a bum. No idea how I'm going to do it, but I'll find a way! ...somehow.

Re-pierced? As in a different piercing or is it growing back? I had to get mine done twice because it closed. Hope you get your nose piercing, and waiting with the tattoo is probably a good idea. I've not wanted one until now, but I've found a symbol that means a lot to me, I've found a place for it that both fits the symbol and its meaning, and it's the back of my neck so even if I do tire of it, it's never going to bother me. It's very small too, so I think it's good for a first tattoo. See how I like it and then I can decide whether I want more.
It's cool your brother does them - I'm guessing you're the youngest sibling? :P

fjkfjkfjklllm 03-13-2010 08:29 PM

Anything above 50 for me, since I'm one of the hottest states here. I haaate heat, though. So that makes me a freak. xDD I love the whole "live in the moment" philosophy! It makes life so much more fun. ;D
The US is great if you wanna see lots and lots of different cultures and terrain. I live in Georgia, and there's about every race just in my town. I'd love to tour the whole country, too, but I'm lazy, and I don't really think it's worth the money you'd have to spend on gas.
Yeah. I've had them pierce a few times, but they got infected because of the gold in the earrings. This time, I'm going with stainless steel. I hope it works. Thanks. I hope mom goes for it, if not, I can wait until I'm 18. It's not that bad. Smaller tattoos for the first one seem like a good idea. You should make sure you get a good tattoo artist. There are some that won't do tattoos people bring them, because they know that the customer won't like it later. Free hand artists are great, too. That's what my brother does. And they're so gorgeous!
Yep, I'm the baby. And it sucks. Because I get made fun of the most. :P

ljosberinn 03-13-2010 09:01 PM

Haha oof, that must be difficult. And yes, living in the moment is the best way to live life. I'm going to get enough wrinkles as it is, I don't need to add worry lines to them! ;)
That's what I think is so fascinating about the US.. it's so fucking huge, and you get to see pretty much everything. All sorts of different nature, different kinds of cities and towns, people from all over the world.. it sounds amazing.
Haha maybe I'll just hitchhike my way across the states.. do it proper risky. xD Would be quite an adventure though.
Ahh I see. Hopefully it goes better this time then. And yeah, my friend recommended a tattoo parlour in our town that is supposed to be a very good one. Anyway, it's just the infinity symbol, you'd have to be pretty fucked up to mess that up. xD I saw some sort of list the other day of the most terrible tattoos.. it was ridiculous. How can people do that to their bodies? Like one guy had his head shaved and tattooed a plate with eggs and bacon and beans on top of his head. O_______o I seriously don't get humorous tattoos.. even if it's a good joke, it's only going to stay funny so many times..
Free hand artists? What does that mean? >.>

Aww haha. I'm the oldest so I'm supposed to be the responsible one. Hah! >.>

fjkfjkfjklllm 03-13-2010 09:15 PM

Haha! I suppose you're right. The US is pretty beautiful. xDD Hitchhiking is way too dangerous for me. I'm a big scaredy cat.
Well, as long as it's something you think you'll like for the rest of your life. o: I hate that! I mean, it's funny, but then it's kinda disgusting...
Free hand artists. Well, a lot of tattoos have outlines to them, you know? The outline is a paper that they lay on your skin and then trace it for the tattoo. Or something like that. Free hand is wear they do it without looking or using an example. Idk, it's something like that. xDD;
Psssssh, I would HATE being the oldest. > <;;

nemo.love_22 03-13-2010 09:21 PM

Hello there! And welcome!
How're you doing today?

fjkfjkfjklllm 03-13-2010 09:23 PM

Hiya! I'm fine, thanks. (:
How are you?

nemo.love_22 03-13-2010 09:27 PM

That's great to hear!

I'm doing fairly well, just working on some school assignments and distracting myself xD Lol!

ljosberinn 03-13-2010 09:33 PM

I've actually never hitchhiked.. though it would probably be pretty safe like in Iceland, I've just never felt the need to.. I want to try it some day though, preferably with a friend. I think it can be quite scary depending on where you are, but even with the risk it sounds exciting and fun.
Oh yeah, I thought it was something like that. You'd have to trust the tattooist pretty well to do that though I imagine.
I think every place in the sibling line has its pros and cons.. being the oldest means that when I was growing up, my parents were young and were more carefree, but also poorer. They planned my next brother and followed all these books on bringing him up and stuff, but gave all that up for my youngest brother and just went from experience. But when my youngest brother was born they were doing a lot better for themselves, so he got more material care I guess. I have responsibilities toward them, but I also think I have more freedom. I'm like the test drive, I do stuff and if it fails, my parents know to make sure my brothers don't do it. :P I dunno, I don't mind being the oldest. Though I sure wouldn't have minded an older sibling when I was growing up, to look up to and inherit music tastes et cetera from, hehe.

Hey there Hopelessly, you were in a thread I was in before as well! Did you sleep well? :P

nemo.love_22 03-13-2010 09:35 PM

Hey there! And I remember you! Yeah, I did, till I got woken up at around half 11 by one of my roommate's friends from down the hall knocking on the door looking for her (she went home for the weekend xD)
How're you doing?
