I agree... I kinda just blow through the shop in one go and then kinda lurk about. But the other events I would post like MAD for the currency while I was waiting for my timers to go off and then I would buy stuff from the cheapest up, and it would take almost the whole event to earn it all so I was active the whole time, rather then just the first day.

Yeah and it seemed like more people were involved as well. Though business wise I can see why they don't do it any more. I mean 3000 dollars on something that doesn't make any money.

yeah I wonder what exactly cost so much ~ paying people to pixil the items and and all the art and paying someone to type in all the info could take a REALLY long time so maybe it takes several people to do it?
I just wish they would open a cash shop for some revenue already, I don't think it would be that much work and it would turn more profit then just two items for 5 bucks each month...
or I know people hate it but if there was a really small amount of silent ad's perhaps at the bottom of the page or something I really wouldn't care, especially if it ment coded events again

well I've seen a lot of people say they would like to see a cash shop but then others are like NOOOOO it's will change us into GAIA... which I think is bullshit, Mene would never get soulessly corporateized like that

I was on Gaia when it was an awesome site and I was there to see it die. I can understand why it worries people so much. I agree with you that I highly doubt Menewsha would ever become like Gaia has but I can understand why people worry about it. I love Mene, it's an awesome site and even a hint of it becoming like what Gaia is now makes even me shudder. The cash shop in Gaia started out innocent enough and was fun too. A new item here and there but spaced out enough that it wasn't over bearing. Now it's the main focus and has sucked the soul out of Gaia. I think another worry is people are afraid of how it will change the economy here on Mene, because it will. I guess I'm saying is that I can understand why people don't want one. Part of me doesn't want one. Part of me does. If they ever implemented it they would have to be very careful on how the operated it.

I've been on gaia since 2004 XD I still use my D&D guild and another that I have some good friends in but ignore everything else for the most part. I think gaia just went way over board with the cash shop prices for one... a ten dollar item? I don't care how many poses it has if I'm only going to use 4 of them tops it's not worth it, keep items achievable in price and have them up for a looooong time. Plus gaia's inflation skyrocketed monthly items that were a grand or so shot up to like 20k now there like 60k or up here they inflation was only about 2 - 3k, and it also deflated a bunch of the really high items instead of decreasing them. I think this also shows that Mene's users are more responsible as well and wouldn't be so rude as to list a $1 item for 1000000 like gaiains often do. I mean people list commons for over the store price and people still BUY them on gaia, I've never seen anything like that here

Never under estimate how dumb any society can be. Not to be rude to fellow Menewshians but more often than not if someone is willing to sell something at a high price someone else is willing to buy it. Though I do agree with you that the prices for items on Gaia is beyond ridiculous and just into insane. Not only that but you can use only one pose of that item regardless of the price. At least here you can use every pose on the item you buy. I stopped going to Gaia. My account is gathering dust, lol. I'm not sure I even know the password and I have some very old items.

That is a good point chi XD people are pretty dumb everywhere. I do have a bit of faith in mene though (and I hate to put it this way) because the ratio of adults to children is a little better here to... I'm not saying were drama free here but just think of things like the amount of hacking on gaia o.O or spam in general OR the fact that people can just create a new account if they get banned there o.O that's just asking for trouble. Mene has always been to strict for that so I would hope they would continue that with a cash shop. I felt like you did at first I was like "No mene... don't turn into a big money hungry commercial" but Mene runs a few grand in debt every month, (the main reason the events had to stop) plus they would have more freedom for items. I think one mod put it something like : items that are to cool to be commons (multiple poses etc.) but weren't "dependable" enough to be CI's. They need as many people as possible to want the CI's or else they get no money at all, so this is why they would take up a home in the cash shop for a while
so I would at lest be willing to give them a chance if it gave us more cool items and events... or maybe some merchandise like stickers and T-shirts, those would bring in money, but not effect the gold economy.

You're right about there being more adults here and that Mene is quite strict with it's rules, one of the things that first attracted me to this site. I do like the idea of a cash shop trial period and maybe a real shop for real items.

well I also am pretty picky about what I wanted and I've been active for a while while you haven't had a chance. Besides it's kinda sad when you have nothing to strive for anymore. I'm sure you'll get stuff sooner then you expect

it was a limited release item so there weren't that many. I think it was somehow based off how many CI were purchased. There just a little more elaborate version of the ones on the Time's Titan CI.
That's why I want the event to start :(
