Helpful suggestions

I feel they should come up with more games, the ones they have are fun and enjoyable, but more variety would help the cause. I also think there should be a small tutorial when someone registers to earn them some gold to get some kind of clothing and items. Jumping straight into something with nothing to go on is like throwing someone out of the house with no money and no where to go, it ends up being very hard and very frustrating. If you are worried about people making multiple accounts and cheating to get the money then track the IP address. I mean I just got here and the only thing is the only thing that's annoying is the difficulty of Trying to get basic clothes and a little bit of gold...not a lot just like 200 or 300. Just an idea/suggestion or whatever. XD other than that it's very chill and nice here. ^_^

Throw down some suggestions while you're here :) Give feedback, but please, please don't be rude to one another. No name calling. After all, we are here to have fun, think, and make suggestions. We may not be able to change the entire world as soon as we'd like, but we can make a good place for people to come, hangout, and have fun and forget the cruelty of today. Don't you agree? so lets do it!

Just for a reminder, you should always search before posting threads to make sure there are not any threads like the one you are making xD.

But my opinion on this is a no towards getting more gold while starting out. It is fairly simple as it is to gain gold. 1000 gold a day with your main and mule from playing games + any gold you get from posting. That is more then enough to buy the things needed.

The games are always a thing people will want more of but people do not realize what is needed in order to get more games. Menewsha has put out some of there own games like habor fishing and it takes a lot of time to do something like that, other games that have been made from others have to give menewsha permission to use there games and menewsha may have to pay to get those types of games. So don't worry, I am sure the menewsha staff are working on more games at this very minute but you can't expect menewsha to come out with loads of games in just a day or two.

I guess search for things would help my cause a bit huh XD but there is more to why a person does soemthing than what it first seems no?

Of course they are working one it XD no doubt, or this place would be like Zan.(an incomplete site)
and I guess I didn't word it right, getting gold is simple yes, but at 2-10 for the game(some aren't good XD I epic fail at a few XD) it can take days to weeks. and 1-20 for each post is quite frustating as well, yes once you post for awhile it becomes nothingness to some. But ppl register with no clothes, merely under clothing. why not give them something to wear?? nothing big, just simple. anywho works summons me, toodles!

The reason why theres no starter clothes is so people realize at the beginning that this is a community. The easiest way to get gold is to get involved. Mene doesn't want to breed a forum of people expecting to get anything they want for nothing. I love that fact, you get such satisfaction out of earning everything you wear.

To address the idea of a tutorial to get new users started: we have something like that already in place in the Fresh Meat forum. There is an "Adopt a Newbie" program available there for new users who are interested. I was an adopter for a while, and I prefer that method to a built-in tutorial, because adopting/being adopted is much more personal and engaging. Its a nice way to make new friends, and it encourages the community spirit that is so important to us here. :D

I thought the adopt a newbie thread was closed.

jellysundae 03-25-2010 05:32 PM

It was removed a very long time ago if Chexala is refering to the one that used to be stickied

Chexala 03-30-2010 06:41 AM

The adoption is closed? I'm sorry to hear that. ):

The person who ran it actually caused some new users to leave in disgust because they were rather obnoxious towards them. We received numerous complaints, so it had to go, unfortunately. People shouldn't take on the responsibility (and it is a responsibilitiy) of helping out new users if they do not have the temperament for it and are going to cost us members through their nastiness.

Keyori 03-30-2010 05:03 PM

Wow, how mean of them! :[

jellysundae 03-30-2010 07:28 PM

Yes, then they quit the site in a strop after we shut down the thread...which we were honestly quite relieved about because they'd become seriously unpleasant by that point. This person felt they were entitled to a staff position because they'd run this newbie thread : / When it became clear to them that that wasn't happening they became extremely sour and started sniping at us constantly.

It's a shame when people lay the blame for their own failings at other people's feet because they don't want to face up to what nasty bitches they are, lol.

No kidding!

It's too bad that nasty people are the reason we can't have nice things... And no one should do anything around here expecting rewards, that's not what this community is about IMO.

Chexala 03-30-2010 10:31 PM

Wow, I didn't realize it had become such a dramatic scene. I was only an adopter for a little while, so I missed all that. o_o

jellysundae 03-31-2010 06:45 AM

Well, it only takes one person to create a whole bunch of needless drama often enough. At least there's none of that in Fresh Meat these days :)
