What are the BEST Anime Love Story!

I am really so bored watching some anime this past few days. So, I would like to ask you guys if you could give me/mention some anime title that has good story on it. Most preferbaly, those anime with a love story.

So far, Romeo x Juliet was the anime I liked with a full of good storyline.

Onegai, tell me some of it.;)

Hm.... My favorite romance one would have to be either Peach Girl or Fushigi Yuugi. Other good ones are His and Her Circumstances, High School Rumble (if you don't mind a plotless, comical love story), and Ayashi No Ceres......though the manga is much better than the anime for Ceres. Still remains my favorite manga of all time. Mars is also a good romance manga if you wanted to get into reading as well as watching anime.

Thanks Ms. Yumeko. I am some what got excited when you mentioned about Mars. Does it really have an anime series? I only watched the Taiwanese version, a Live story, which I heard it was based on a manga story...oh, how I wish I could have a copy on this one. Do you have one Ms. Yumeko?:vicky:

I thought Lovely Complex was very adorable. You'd have to watch it with subtitles, but I really enjoyed the anime. It's basically a romance that blossoms between the tallest girl and shortest boy in their school. They start out pretending to hate each other, but then feelings start to happen and yeah..you get the idea. And it doesn't just happen in a few episodes; you actually get to watch their feelings mature and develop. I think you'd really enjoy it.

MYSTICALAirah 04-12-2010 08:14 AM

Anyone who could give other choices, please?

storkparanoia 04-14-2010 08:50 AM

I love Mars and i didn't know there was a live version. i'll have to look for it. i also love RomeoXJuliet the manga is really good even if it's only two volumes. others i like are
Tramps like Us
Skip Beat
Basara
W Juliet
From Far Away
Chrono Crusade
Kimi ni Todoke

those are just a few

MYSTICALAirah 04-14-2010 09:04 AM

A kiss to my Prince is a good one it can be found on onemanga.com and mangafox if you want to read it. rayearth has some love in both anime and manga really good in first season. but you have to wait for rayearth 2 anime for a love good yet confusing love part mix in.

MYSTICALAirah 04-15-2010 02:12 PM

A kiss to my prince??that's kinda nice...hmmm...I must see that one...

Are you referring Ms. Sailor Star on Clamp's Magic Knight Rayearth? I have watched that, but i havent heard yet if there is another season on it...Oh boy! if thats true I'll makes sure to see it in the web..hehe

Thanks Sailor Star.

I second "A Kiss to My Prince". I've been keeping up with the story, it's so sweet! I gotta say...my favourite shoujo or.."love story" has to be Anatolia Story aka Red River. It's alittle long, but it's so heart-wrenching. It made me cry in several places, plus it's historically based! More modern shoujo that I like would be:
-Nana
-I don't know if you would consider this,....buuut...Escaflowne's kinda cute. <3
-Boys Over flowers
-Legend of Nereid.

storkparanoia 04-17-2010 08:31 AM

i love Red River, it's got a bit of the same idea as From Far Away where it's a girl throw into another world and she had to chose to stay with the person she loves or go home.

has anyone mentioned Paradise Kiss? that one is amazing.
i like Nana but it's so sad.

Emma. 04-17-2010 10:59 PM

Howls Moving castle (Um.. its a movie though, the same writer as Spirited away)
Clannad (VERYVERY sad, and the love part comes in the second season i think)
~H2O Footprints in the sand~ (Idk if u can call this love story.. but its good anyways)

I think those are the ones i like most, clannad is my absolute favourite and i cried like millions of times. Makes u cry every time u watch it. Realy good but realy sad. Bought all the episodes + a clannad movie after watched around 13 episodes of 47.
And it was realy worth the money even though it was damn expensive.

My boyfriend likes Paradise Kiss, lol. I love Red River too....That other manga you mentioned sounds interesting. Where can I find it?

Nana's a much more mature, realistic series. I think that's really the only reason I read/watch it. It is pretty tragic, but so is love in real life.

I read your response on this forum Ms. storkparanoia last weeks ago..and im thankful for your advice. I just recently watched the skip beat, which I though wasn't ain't that good anime but I was wrong when I watched it. I really really love the anime. Until now the images of those characters in there were still on my mind......

As well as Kim ni Todoke, it was also a great anime, I loved it....
I am still searching the a DVD of the anime "from far away"...but i hope it will come soon..hehehe

Thank you! Thank you....

Im still willing to accept some advices out there......:vicky:

Itazura na Kiss
Ouran High School Host Club
Chance Pop Session
Hana to Akuma
Kyou Koi Wa Hajimemasu
Faster than a Kiss
Wallflower aka Perfect girl Evolution
Skip beat

IadulDraculai 07-13-2010 01:19 PM

CHIBITALIA.
Because it actually happened, but with less crossdressing and cuteness.
I seriously cry every time I watch The Holy Roman Empire run away from Italy in tears after confessing his love. It's so sweet.

I also really like Count Cain, though they haven't made it into an anime yet. it's kind of brutal, but the art is gorgeous and the storyline is really intriguing.

cherrykookie 07-16-2010 02:14 AM

well, i mostly read romance mangas not animes but here's a few:
+Bokura Ga Ita <-- this one is pretty popular. It has a really nice feel to it and i love its soundtrack! This is romance/drama.
+Kimi ni Todoke <-- Also has a refreshing air to it! super cute! I love the main couple in this anime! This is romance/drama/ some comedy
+honey and clover <-- this one also has a nice feel to it.. i reccemend all these animes! romance/drama/comedy. It has a good balance of all three.
+Lovely Complex <-- Okay this is one of my personal favourites. If you're looking for something funny, then here you go! This is hillarious, but so is Honey and Clover. Romance/Comedy

MYSTICALAirah 07-24-2010 01:10 AM

Thank you ms. neechee and those everyone who gave their suggestions...Anyone out there whose willing to give there ideas in here?

The Roze 08-15-2010 05:05 PM

My favourite anime/manga love story is Kimi Ni Todoke. It's original, sweet, and I absolutely love it! ^^

GlassAngel 08-16-2010 08:36 AM

I think for the best I would have to go with Suzuka. It made me cry at parts, and when it finally got to the end and they were together it was awesome. =3 Other than that, maybe Ouran Highschool Host Club. ...I like way to much Shojo to pick just one really.
