Alchemy fallowed See'r out of the small shop glad to feel free that she could move around. Once again she was over come by just how big the town was. Tightening her grip on his hand and moving closer towards him as a large man walked past them. She wasn't a girl who scared easy but the sheer height of that man made her look at the grown trying to ignore his presence. She had to keep reminding herself that in a fishing town people were bound to be a lot different then what she was use to "Sure lets get out of this crowd."

MintyRey 04-29-2010 09:04 PM

"Hmmm...Not too bad." He looked the Zealot and her new hat over before concluding, "Least it fits. How 'bout clothes?" He pulled out a nearby dress and held it in front of her. It had frills and ribbons all over it. Skirt cut short and sleeves lined with lace, it was not an outfit suitable for battle and was obviously shown as a joke. "You look like you could use some new ones." Cy said with a grin. In his other hand that he held behind his back was a small bag. It was already filled with a few pricey fabrics he had stuffed within it while the shop owner wasn't looking. Even the bag itself was from the store so he could keep it hidden amongst the merchandise before they leave. Sneaking out a single bag was always less noticeable than sneaking out a whole bunch of cloth.

See'r chuckled, giving Alchemy's hand a squeeze. "Head toward the docks," he said just loud enough to be heard. Feeling a bit of her uncertainty, the silver-haired youth moved closer to his friend without even thinking about it. They were jostled about a bit in the crowd, but he positioned himself more so he could keep others from jarring Alchemy's arm. She didn't need to be in pain while they were in a new city.
Unfortunately his actions provided him with the opportune moment of being shoved from behind, most likely on accident. But it resulted in him bumping into Alchemy, stumbling over her and nearly causing the two of them to fall to the damp streets. It was the sheer will of God that they stayed on their feet thanks to a nearby wall. A dark blush immediately crossed See'r's features.
"Sorry," he whispered, pushing the two of them away from the wall they had practically run into.

Rolling her single eye, Tweak glanced down at her clothing - dark pants tucked into her knee-high boots, a ragged black shirt over that . . . gloves on her hands, bracers on her upper arms, and many different rings, medallions, and earrings to go with it. A few belts, her eyepatch, and a pocket watch went with her outfit, as well as the few pouches hanging from her belt . . . not to mention her sheathed throwing daggers and knives.
Glaring at Cyril playfully, she shoved the frilly dress he held out away. "I'd rather die," she hissed quietly, trying not to draw too much attention to them. Her hand stayed on her side as she moved, and a cough escaped her lips. Swiftly turning, she coughed into a fist before shrugging. "But a new set of clothes sounds like heaven."
Tugging the rim of her new black hat, the young woman disappeared into the store . . . only to return not fifteen minutes later wearing something completely different. Her clothing consisted of a form fitting pair of dark crimson pants with leather straps to help keep her weapons in place, a sleek pair of knee-high boots, and a decorative silver belt that fit her perfectly. Tweak tugged on the end of the shirt, messing with the open front of the long coat. “Better,” she mumbled, reaching into her pocket to withdraw payment. For her hat and outfit, she’d be paying a bit . . . but it was nothing that she couldn’t handle. The female’s single yellow eye flickered to Cyril, and she smiled slightly. “You going to get your own outfit, tiger?”

Amaya Mori 04-30-2010 06:40 AM

Though she was glad to be away from the outlaw town Alchemy was getting just a little tired of the sheer number of people in this town. “It’s not your fault; it’s the overly rude people that make up this town.” She shot a glare towards the back of the man who had bumped into them. If everyone was going to be like this the whole week then she was going to spend it locked in their room. Her feelings towards the town were likely to change once t hey got out of this crowd. With that thought in mind she started pulling See’r through the crowd.

It had taken some time- she a couple of elbows jabbed into people’s backs- but they had finally made to the water front. “There had better me some cool looking animals or I’m going back to give that vender a piece of my mind.” She was still irritated with the older man who had called her a little girl and all but pushed her away from his cart. She hadn’t even wanted to be there the crowd had just sort of herded them in that direction. As soon as her crimson eyes landed on the clear water in front of her however any thoughts of old men and anger vanished. She had never seen the ocean before and it was…well huge.

MintyRey 05-05-2010 03:04 AM

Cyril didn't say anything. Tweak's new look, completely different from her previous mismatched ensemble, suited her better than he would ever admit. He never noticed before how curv- err, fit she was. It took him a few moments to regain his tongue. "Yeah..." he began, eying her a little more in certain places before remembering he had to continue. "I-I mean no. No. I'm fine with this outfit for now. They had some other fireproof material but it's not the type and color I wanted." He looked down at his tan and black suit before looking back at the fireproof fabrics section. All they had were reds, oranges, greens, and blues. "All I need is a new hat." he added before walking over to the store's display and taking the hat he had seen before they entered. To his dismay, it was a size too small. "Guess this isn't for me." Cy tossed it aside carelessly before grabbing another fur-felt hat of the same style.

Esmme 05-08-2010 01:29 AM

(())

Tweak chuckled, and spoke with the shop owner for a few moments before explaining everything she had on her . . . she practically convinced the guy that she was paying too much. Despite the fact that she was barely paying half of the original price.
In the end, she was ready to leave within ten minutes, happily laughing with the owner of the store while waiting for Cyril to finish up. Raising her eyebrow, the young woman leaned against the counter and glanced over to where the male was standing.

Hearing Alchemy’s intake of breath, See’r smiled slightly. “What is it?” he asked his previously frazzled friend. “What do you see?” The anger he felt coming off of the girl vanished, and her grip on his hand tightened considerably. She was excited.

Amaya Mori 05-10-2010 04:02 AM

The blond couldn't think of what to say. The image in front of her was huge and blue and just plain breath taking. "The ocean goes on forever, it's all kinds of blues from a turquoise to a navy. Oh and the way the sun is hitting it makes it glitter white when the waves crash into the side of the boats. The boats are massive with long white sails and so many people. The people are all so different and strange." Taking a breath from her aw struck description of the world around her Alchemy turned to face See'r. She had never thought of his blindness as a disadvantage simply because he was one of the best fighters she knew, but now in the face the ocean and knowing he couldn't see the same thing made her a little sad. "Can we go down and play in the water?"

Esmme 05-10-2010 07:02 AM

See'r listened to Alchemy's excited words, a smile on his face despite the fact that someone from the crowd decided to jostle past them rudely. "It sounds beautiful," See'r commented. She was giddy, almost childish . . . but he could easily relate. It was a time of happiness, and she was certainly showing it. The blind male nodded slowly when Alchemy mentioned going down to the water, and chuckled. Forcing down his initial reaction of wariness, the tall youth sighed. "I would never hear the end of it if I said 'no'," See'r said, squeezing her hand.
Tugging Alchemy in the direction he heard the waves coming from to reinforce his words, the silver-haired youth let the sounds of the crowd draw him onward. The more excited voices came from the docks with the new arrivals, and the gulls seemed to enjoy lingering about the shoreline. Not only were the waves helpful, but the sound of shouting crewmen and creaking ships also helped form an image in See'r's mind. Making their way through the crowd and toward the shore, the two friends kept hold of one another.
It was when they stepped into the sand that See'r felt the second flash of uncertainty. He'd never liked water to begin with, but after being blinded . . . well, it certainly rose to a level of fear. Keeping it out of his expression, he stepped forward with Alchemy, pausing when he truly began to focus on the sound of endless water and sea. It was a strange sense, almost like standing on the edge of a cliff in the dark. You can feel the openness in front of you, but can't quite judge how far down it falls.
The sand made their steps heavy, which brought sparring to mind, but See'r merely followed Alchemy to the edge of the ocean's water without words. She was too excited for him to ruin it by voicing fear. There was nothing to fear as long as he wasn't too far out.
Pulling his hand from hers, See'r sat down on the firm sand with a smile. "What use is being on the shore if you can't feel it?" Slipping off his boots and socks, the blind man took a deep breath. Inclining his head, he let the ocean breeze sweep over him, and fought back another wave of wariness before getting back to his feet. Pondering how well each of them could fight with such hindrance as sand, See'r chuckled. They would be soaking by the time the walked off of the beach. . . .

((i don't what to post... i don't even know if i can yet :gonk:))

Esmme 05-10-2010 07:22 AM

((Hmmm. >.>' Jake and Aesh are sleeping, right? :XD))

dragonjake 05-10-2010 07:23 AM

((yeah , so i can't post :gonk:))

Esmme 05-10-2010 07:31 AM

(( Hahaha))

Aesh lifted her head in a sluggish manner, waking up after her slight doze. Shifting, she stood, glancing down to Jake and making sure he didn't fall over when she got up.
"It's alright, I'm not moving far," she muttered to him before stepping away, stretching a bit. Sitting not far away, the dragon worked on redoing her twin buns and combing her hair out with her fingers. Today she needed to get the medicine back to her master. After all, it was her purpose for coming all the way out to Pay'Tions.
Wondering for a moment if Jake would be able to travel after his bullet wounds, the dragon frowned, half shifting so she could stretch her wings. We'll see.

Amaya Mori 05-10-2010 08:37 AM

" Well aren't you smart." she replied when he made is comment about saying no.
Alchemy bit her bottom lip trying to keep her excitement contained. The largest body of water she had ever seen was the river a few miles away from their town. It was all she could do to keep her hand in See'rs rather then let it go and sprint for the shore line. She wouldn't leave him to find his way with out her though. As they walked she took in the sailors as they unloaded loads of fish, crabs and other sea creatures. If they made it back to the Inn before the tavern closed she was going to see if they could grab diner, this time she wanted to try that odd red creature in the shell.
The sand was soft and white giving way under their feet. As soon as her hand was free Alchemy had her boots and socks off heading straight for the water. As soon as her bare feet touched the sand she noticed that it was warm from the days sun but the water was chilled. She squealed like a small child as soon as a waved crashed against her bare legs. She was glad she had chosen to wear a skirt that ended above her knees it would have sucked to walk around in a wet skirt.

Spinning around in the water she stopped when she was facing the silver haired man. "Come over here See'r, the water is great." This was amazing and she wanted to share it with him.

dragonjake 05-10-2010 09:26 AM

Jake shifted he opened his eyes and looked around "what... where are we" he stood up slowly, he half shifted and streched his wings too, but shifted back almost imediatly, and fell to his knees and got up again "we need to move, but where too?" he asked looking at her "and... thank you for helping me"

Lunettes de Soleil 05-10-2010 06:16 PM

((Uh, about what time is it now, is it the same night still or the next day?))

Esmme 05-10-2010 08:26 PM

((Let's see . . . hehe, it seems like both sets of characters are following a different timeline . . . so I'd say it's around dinner time of the same day. So the dragons didn't sleep through the night, they merely rested. That way we can keep us all in the same time zone here.))

See'r stood, moving toward the sound of water breaking against Alchemy as she messed around with the water. A smile grew on his face as he heard her excitement, and the youth took a quick breath when the water struck his legs. He'd rolled his pant legs up past his knees, but he was certain that they'd be wet by the time that they both headed back to the inn.
Feeling the sea brush against him, See’r laughed. He couldn’t help it. It was partially out of nervousness, but then he just gave in to Alchemy’s infectious joy. She was so excited . . . he would try and match the feeling. It wasn’t but a moment later when he pinpointed Alchemy’s exact location. Her laughter gave her away.
Kneeling down, See’r chuckled . . . and then sent a wave of water in the girl’s direction. May as well get her wet. . . .
-

Aesh smiled, nodding to Jake. “You’re welcome,” she said, moving to snag his arm and help him up. “And you’re right. We should get moving.” It was nearly sunset, and the more they moved, the farther they’d be from the Zealots. Besides, Aesh wanted to go home. Her master was in need of the medicine she held with her.
Her hand moved to her waist, checking the pouch. With a grimace, the woman snarled something under her breath quietly. The small pouch that had held her herbs was missing. It must have been lost in the battle with the Zealots.“We have to go back.” She couldn’t go home without the medicine.
((I’m thinking of making someone run into you, Soleil. :P))

dragonjake 05-10-2010 08:29 PM

Jake nodded "we will go back, only if you promise to run while i fight off the Zelots, deal?" he held his hand out for her to shake it, although he didn't understand why they needed to go back, but he was not going to question her about it

Esmme 05-10-2010 08:37 PM

"Only if we run into them again," the woman agreed, shaking his hand. "Only if we need to fight." The pale woman smiled a bit, her red eyes blinking slowly. "I'm sorry. Let me carry you this time. You need to save your strength for the fighting."
Shifting into her sleek dragon form, the red creature snorted a bit of dust off of the ground, blowing it away.

Please let me carry you.

Aralynn felt a hand on her shoulder and she jolted awake. She looked up to see her waitress standing beside her table. She was a little groggy, but things started coming back to her. She must have fallen asleep after she had finished her meal. Her waitress was probably hoping to get ary to pay, leave so she can get some more business. Ary pulled some money out and put it on the table. She pulled her cloak around her and left her table, Stepping out into the cool night air.

She looked around, but had no idea where to go or what to do. So she just started wandering.

Amaya Mori 05-11-2010 05:04 AM

Alchemy covered her face as the small wave hit her. Still some of the cool salt water had found its way into her open mouth. Spitting out the water she glared up at her friend. The front of her skirt was wet with splatter of water on her top. The sun was going down now and she was going to freeze. Well she wasn't going to freeze alone.A couple of the sailor had paused from their work to watch the two teens playing in the water. It made it better for her that there would be witnesses to her plan. Hopping that the sway of the water would confuse him Alchemy jumped out of the water angling her body so that she would tackle him into the shallow end of the water with her.

Esmme 05-11-2010 05:56 AM

See'r met the tackle with a laugh, falling backwards into the low water. Forcing down a wave of fear as the cool sea lapped at them, the blind youth wrestled about with Alchemy, making sure to get her just as soaking as he was. It wasn't too hard. Within the first couple seconds, both of them were drenched in salty water.
Splashing, fighting, shoving, yanking . . . well, they were definitely having fun.
Pushing Alchemy off of him, See'r smiled, trying to forget that they weren't playing on the edge of a river instead of a wide expanse of open water. His fear was riding just under the surface of his enjoyment, and was steadily rising . . . but the silver-haired male was able to fend it off just enough. It didn't show on his face, or in his movements . . . but it haunted his mind, creating a barrier of sorts. Only when a wave that brought in another level of water did See'r actually pause for a moment, stiffening uncertainly. His constant fear of deep water rose up once again, this time nearly overwhelming him.

Amaya Mori 05-11-2010 06:22 AM

Somewhere in the middle of their water fight Alchemy's braid had come undone and now pooled around her while she sat in the sand. waves pushing her back.Pushing her bangs out of her eyes the teen looked up at her best friend. If she was allowed to play in the ocean everyday then she would deal with the over crowded town.
When she noticed how stiff See'r had become she grew instantly concerned. There wasn't much that could put him on edge like So she too grew tense. Had he sense some danger she didn't pick up on yet, had maybe something swam by him. She knew shark were deadly animal but she had always thought they liked deeper waters. "See'r what is it." Reaching out she laid her hand on his arm concern and worry etched into her voice.

dragonjake 05-11-2010 12:39 PM

Jake was glad to see another dragon "well your dragon form is out-standing, it is a mighty form indeed" he said walking up to her tail and climed slowly up it "sorry for taking so much time" he said finally reching her neck and gripping on "im ready, lets go when ever your ready" he said laying his head on her

Esmme 05-11-2010 03:13 PM

As you wish.
Aesh launched them into the air, banking left before turning herself in the direction of the city once more. If she were human, a grin would have been plastered on her face. It wasn't often that she was told her dragon form was anything but horrid and evil. Hearing one of her own kind comment on her looks made a blush spread over her face . . . well, it would have if she didn't have scales to cover it.
Letting out a spur-of-the-moment roar, the red dragon pulled her wings in, dropping in a graceful dive that gave them more speed. Just before they hit the ground, she extended her wings once again, sending them back up into the sky.
Still holding on back there? she asked, a bit of laughter in her question. Pay'tions wasn't far from them, and they would be there before nightfall if they kept going at their current pace.
-

See'r "looked" to Alchemy, a grim smile on his face. "N-nothing," he replied, shaking his head. Wiping strands of his soaking hair away from his face, the male forced himself to relax. He was putting the girl on edge, and that was unnecessary. "Nothing's wrong." Placing his hand over hers, See'r gave her a crooked smile.
It helped to have something touching him - it was like an anchor to keep him there. Water had always been a problem for him, even before he'd lost his sight . . . but after, he was useless. When a blind man fell into water, it was often hard to find which way was up when you couldn't see the light. Many dreams were spurred by the thought.
The soaking youth moved closer to his friend, sitting next to her with a chuckle. Nudging Alchemy's side with his elbow, See'r smiled reassuringly. "I'm fine. Honestly."
Listening to the sound of the waves and water, the boats and their crew, See'r sighed mentally. For her sake, I can get over this. I will get over this.

dragonjake 05-11-2010 03:21 PM

Jake laughed "it will take more than that" he joked but his arms where weak, but he knew she was in a hurry, so he just let her carry on, but it was to much strain on his arms, he slipped and was forced to dig his claws into her, the wind carried on dragging him until he was at her tail "sorry" he yelled over the wind "i can't hold on much longer"
