See'r smiled a bit, nudging Alchemy's foot with his own to return her playfulness.
"We met a few days ago on the way here," Tweak said truthfully, though she would never say anything about what their quest was. "So yes, we're friends now." Poking Cyril's remaining food, the youth raised an eyebrow. "Always ready to make more." With a grin, Tweak glanced at the nearest ride - a Ferris Wheel of sorts. "Why not make friends while doing things we wouldn't do any other day?" Standing, she snagged Cyril's collar, dragging him up with her. "Want to come?" See'r said nothing, but he bumped her knee with his own, shrugging slightly. He would go if Alchemy did. |
Alchemy eyed the ride for a few seconds from here didn't look as tall as she was sure it was. Reaching a hand across the table she grabbed on to See'r's. Now it didn't matter if tweak and Cyril saw them holding hands since she had already established that they had been friend for some time now. " It looks like a giant wheel with tiny carts connected to it that people sit in. It spins slowly but it goes up pretty high, I'm sure that it over looks the whole town." An exaggerating she was sure but the idea of describing the view to him and seeing it for her self was playing around in her head. "Do you want to give it a try?" She wouldn't go if he didn't want to. She would never willing leave him alone in a strange place. Especially not after the scare of Abel and her own stupid mistake.
|
Jake smiled when she kissed between his eyes "ok, i will not tell him" he said as he looked at his fixed wing and smiled "it is a great job you have done the" he said as he nuzzled her again and shifted into his human form, but his wings were still out "i could hide them if i had something like a cape"
|
See'r smiled a bit, and nodded. "If you're up for it, then I'll go." It didn't sound too bad . . . if you bypassed the sheer height of the ride. "I don't mind a bit of excitement."
Tweak grinned, pulling Cyril to his feet. "I'll take care of this," she said, taking the trash and other utensils from her friends. Carrying the plates and silverware back to the stand, the navy-haired youth moved back to their table. Snagging Cyril's arm, she linked hers around his as she tugged him gently away from the table. Following the movements in his head, See'r stood as well, backing away from the table and moving to stand beside Alchemy. Linking his hand with hers, the blind youth smiled. He was actually rather curious. "This way!" Tweak called out, pulling Cyril with her and motioning for the others to follow. Just as they began to walk off, the yellow-eyed girl moved to grab her hat, stuffing it on her head eagerly. It was time for a ride. The line wasn't long, surprisingly, so they only had to wait a few minutes before moving into one of the platforms and onto the Ferris Wheel. See'r gave Alchemy's hand a slight squeeze, but said nothing, his stoic expression giving nothing away. Tweak, on the other hand, was nearly bouncing with excitement. Sitting as close as she possibly could to Cyril, the girl reached up to tug on his hat's wide brim. "This is going to be fun." - Brown eyes lingering on Jake for a few moments, the woman nodded. "A cloak would do nicely." She headed for the barn door once again. "I'll be right back." True to her word, Aesh stepped back inside a few minutes later, a thick black cloak in her arms. Holding it out to Jake, she smiled. "I think it will fit you. It might be a bit long, but it shouldn't be a problem." After all, Da Vinci was rather tall. Taller than the dragon that borrowed his cloak, even. "Are you willing to see my master now, Jake?" Standing nearby, the girl flung the cloak about Jake, moving to fasten it in the front for him. |
Jake nodded and smiled "im am more then ready" he looked back at the cape and saw that it looked like nothing was there "that is splendid, he wont even notice them, well not until i start to move my right one" he said showing Aesh what he meant "but i will keep it still, i am ready to see your master"
|
((:XD Sorry. Just realized you were waiting on me, Jake. I'll reply laters.))
|
((its ok ))
|
Aesh smiled, and reached out to take his hand. "Da Vinci is young, barely older than me." She laughed. "Perhaps in his twenties. But he is sick. Very sick." Pulling Jake with her, she headed into the house using the kitchen entrance. "He enjoys company, though he has no family, and not many friends." It wasn't long before a few servants were scuttling out of their way as Aesh pulled her friend toward a set of elaborately decorated wooden doors. "He is awake, but try not to be too loud. He has a hard time with loud noises." Slowly opening the door after knocking, the woman stepped inside, clearing her throat.
A young man sat leaning against a set of pillows a book in his lap. Slowly setting it down, his weary looking face turned to the new arrivals, a smile making its way over his features. "Aesh," he rasped, coughing quietly into his hand. When he was able to speak again, the youth looked to Jake. "Who is it you bring with you? I have never seen his face before." |
Jake walked a bit closer and bowed "my name is Jake sir" he said quietly but loud enough for him to hear "Aesh has been kind nough to take care of me on the journy here" he said as he continued to bow "it is a pleasure to meet you sir"
|
"I'm glad to meet you," the youth replied, smiling weakly. "As I'm sure you've heard, I am Joseph Da Vinci." After coughing again, the brown-haired lord looked up to the two guests once again. "I would stand and accept your greeting, but I can't. I apologize."
Aesh glanced to Jake, her eyes full of care. "Da Vinci is a kind master, a good friend." She turned to the bedridden male. "I met Jake on my way here, and I would be most glad if he could stay for a little while." Joseph nodded, his hand motioning toward the rest of the house. "We certainly have the room. By all means, stay as long as you wish, Jake." |
Jake nodded and stood up "that you kind Sir, i will do all my best to help you out" he said as he looked at Aesh and smiled "i would e glad to help" he looked back at Joseph "what ever you want, i will get it" he said as he rearanged his cape making sure Joseph couldn't see his wings

(( sorry it took so long I had real life stuffs to deal with.))
Alchemy eyed the Ferris Wheel as they stood in line, hand tightly gripping See'r's, it was much bigger then it had appeared to be. the blond was rarely scared of such things like height it was just shocking to see something so tall that wasn't a tree. Fallowing Tweak and Cyril on to one of the small carts attached to the Ferris Wheel she made sure that she was sitting as close to See'r as she could without sitting on him. they were going to be very high up and very isolated, she didn't believe that their new friends were anything but civilians but one could never be to careful. She didn't want to put them in any more danger. " Yeah this should be loads of fun." she gave the ground a nervous glance before trying to calm her nerves. The male, Cyril, wasn't very talkative bu then again neither was See'r.It seemed as if the females were the ones speaking for the group. The blind man's silence wasn't surprising though, he had never been a real talker when new people were around. It had taken her fallowing him around for a how week before she could get him to hold a full conversation with her. Turning to face the yellow eyed girl, " so have you been on one of these things before?" |
((That's alright. ^_^ I was beginning to wonder what happened! Hope things turned out alright for you, deary.))
Tweak grinned. "Once," she said, looking over the side of their cart eagerly. "But I was very little. I barely remember it." Wrinkling her nose, the girl snagged her hat. "I couldn't even see over the side." As they sat across from the other couple, Tweak pulled her hand away from Cyril, peeking over the side as the wheel slowly started to move so they could seat more passengers. "Look at the carnival!" she suddenly gasped, truly feeling the wonder slip over her face. - Hearing Tweak's words, See'r smiled, and let his fingers slip from Alchemy's. The action was strange, at first, because he never let her hand go before. But when he linked his arm through his friend's, the blind youth merely smiled, linking their hands once again. "Calm down," he whispered into her ear, feeling the blonde girl tense up as the ride moved a bit. Chuckling, he nudged her side with his arm, which was nestled up next to her side. "You're making me nervous." - With a smile, Joseph nodded. "You are most kind." Aesh stepped forward to pour the young man a glass of water from a nearby pitcher, offering it to him as he started to cough once again. "I have a story to tell you, M'lord. It's one about the tavern we visited together while I was in the city. Supposedly it was burned down by dragons." She smiled, glancing to Jake. Starting to tell the story of how two dragons and two Zealots fought within the city, stirring up trouble and fire, the woman continued. She never told the young lord that the dragons were both Jake and herself, for she was used to telling such stories without revealing such truth. |
Moving her head to the side Alchemy stared over the edge as well. they could see the whole carnival by now all of the people looking no bigger then tiny animals and they were getting smaller as the cart moved higher into the air. When See'r removed his hand from her's a frown formed on her lips. They always held hands it was their thing something that no one, not event eh lectures from Ann and his father, had stopped. Her hand felt empty and slightly cold with out the contact. of course they didn't hold hand all of the time but it easier that way so that neither one was left behind.
She relaxed however when he linked his arm with hers and informed her that she was making him nervous." sorry" She whispered back going back to staring out at the view. " I can see everything from up here. The whole carnival, almost the whole town can be seen from up here. they all look like ants moving around clumps of colorful dirt." It was natural to describe what she saw to See'r but since this was new for her too she was a little to awestruck to do the sight justice. She could also see Abel's stage, watched as she walked back a forth spreading more lies.' Stupid Zealot.' She hissed in her mind. Looking up at the couple across from them, " Thank you so much for letting us ride with you. Are you staying in that inn over there per chance?" With her free hand she pointed in the direction of the inn she and See'r where staying at, or she hoped that it was the inn. |
Jake chuckled as she told the story, he stepped foward and smiled "i was lucky enough to see them all, the Zealots where a male and female as for the dragons..." he paused and looked at the ceiling, he then looked back at Joseph "there was a female and male... i think"
|
See'r chuckled, listening to Alchemy. He knew she was distracted just by the tone of her voice. The blind male settled in comfortably, listening to the awestruck words of both Tweak and Alchemy with his head tilted ever so slightly. Looking completely serene, the youth sat still, feeling the platform they were in shifting slightly as the wheel moved once again. It wasn't long before the Ferris Wheel was actually spinning, slowly raising them in the air, and bringing them back down once again.
From where he was, See'r listened to everyone beside him, as well as the next platform over - he could barely hear their voices, but they were saying much the same things as Alchemy and Tweak. With the slightest of smiles, the silver-haired male continued to listen, falling into the feeling of excitement that was all around him. - When Alchemy asked where they were staying, Tweak smiled, standing precariously and looking out over the city. Keeping hold of the rim of her new hat, the one-eyed girl narrowed her gaze and looked at the inn that the other female was indicating. "Yes we are," she said. "Do you stay there as well?" Looking excited, the navy-haired girl sat back down . . . but missed her seat, sitting on Cyril instead. With the lightest of blushes, she stood, sitting beside her friend. "I'm glad we got to get in the same cart," she said, looking over the edge again. Unable to contain her excitement, the youth's yellow eyes moved from Cyril's face, to See'r's, and then to Alchemy's. Friends. Or so she thought at the time. - Joseph smiled, listening intently as both Aesh and Jake told the story. "You saw this?" he asked, brown eyes wide. "Real dragons?" Coughing into his fist, the young lord cleared his throat. "I thought they didn't exist!" Aesh smiled slyly. "And where did you here that, M'lord?" When Da Vinci frowned, the woman laughed. "Perhaps they do live somewhere in the world. What we saw were definitely dragons." The brown-haired male shook his head in disbelief. "I thought they were just legends." |
Jake almost told him that he was one, but he swallowed it down and smiled "sir, they were thought to be a myth, but i have been hunting them down just to see what they are like, but i don't mean hunting as in killing, i mean standing a bit back from the and spying on them" he said as he reajusted his cape "they are quite friendly"
|
"Friendly," Joseph replied, smiling a bit. "Wouldn't it be wonderful to see one?"
Aesh glanced to Jake, but only smiled slightly. "It would, wouldn't it?" But not yet. You aren't ready, master. After another bout of coughing, the young lord finally was able to take a drink of the water that his friend offered, catching his breath. "Do you enjoy books?" he asked Jake, already knowing Aesh's answer. |
Jake smiled "i probably could show you one when you are better, they are beautiful beasts" he chuckled slightly and then he smiled at Aesh as if to reasure her he wasn't going to show him "books? ummmmm... i have never really been able to read... im the only one who couldn't read for some reason"
|
Aesh stood, muttering that she would return shortly. When she had gone, Joseph merely grinned weakly. "How about pictures?" the young lord reached over to the side, taking a rather large book from the wooden table. "Have you ever seen forests through an artists eyes?"
Flipping the tome open, Da Vinci pushed it over the blankets, turning it so Jake could see the pictures. Colorful forests and oceans, lands and mystical creatures . . . just about anything you could think of. It was all sketched, drawn, colored, painted, and marked - and the signature near the corner of each page strangely resembled Joseph's name. |
Jake looked at the book and noticed the signature looked like Joseph's names "they... are they your drawings?" he asked as he moved colser and gazed at the beauty of the pictures "i have only ever see these type of things whilst flying, but..." he quickly covered his mouth "please tell me he didn't notice what i just said" he thought to himself

It was all very exciting for the blond teen, the ride and meeting new people. Alchemy could feel See'r's excitement about the whole thing through their joined hands. That and over the years she had gotten good at reading his blank expression, though most of the time it still left her confused on what was going on in his head. "Yep where just checked in yesterday. We should all have diner together some time." It was such a rare thing for them to be able to meet with new people. It was going to be hard to leave in six days.
Turning her face back towards the view outside their cart she began describing more things to her blind friend." I can see the ocean, it's...wow, it's a lot bigger then I thought it was last night. And the water is such a clear mix of blues and greens, but it's still so clear looking. I can see over the trees that are around the town, or course there are still just more tress and...is that. oh yeah it's our little village I see." She laughed a little, of course she couldn't really see the Outlaw village they had traveled from. It would be pretty useless to be so easily detectable but she wanted to joke around with the silver haired man. Things had been, well between last night and this morning with that black haired Zealot, things were just feeling awkward between them. " We are really high up See'r." With her free hand she signaled for the couple across from her to play along with her harmless joke. |
[AAAAIIIEEEEEE!!! :gonk: I'm sorry, really really sorry!!! *bows* I wasn't expecting to be gone for so long. I was hoping to get on last week but I've been really busy lately  My aunt and uncle were moving so we had to help out with the furniture and now we're doing some remodeling around the house. Unfortunately, this means that I won't be able to get on for loooong periods of time after today ]
It was interesting to hear what the group had to say about dragons. Tweak seemed to have started off with a sense of fantasy but Cyril soon got that she was just putting up a front of disbelief. Judging from the replies of the other two, the Zealot could tell they didn't buy an ounce of what Abel was selling and it would probably be best if neither he nor Tweak said anything about their profession to avoid conflict. Admittedly, the blindfolded man's dismissal of the existence of dragons was a bit of an overreaction but maybe he just really didn't like the crimson eyed preacher. He wouldn't be the first one Cy had met. Biting into his food, he continued to listen. The platinum blond now looked at each of the diners at the table. From the calm blond, to the disgruntled silver-hair, to the abashed navy headed Zealot, Cy took note of each and did his best to stay out of the way. He was content to keep to himself for now and let his partner do all the work. After-all, the pie was really good. The peaceful meal he thought he would have, however, would be interrupted by a rather rude nudge to his side by the shorter girl beside him. Was it because he didn't introduce himself? Well, Tweak had already done that for the both of them. Ignoring it, he continued with his meal. The next topic that arose was of the origins of their companions. Had Cyril known of another upcoming nudge he would not have dared to swallow his food. But alas, he was caught mid swallow and almost choked on the pastry. All he could do was throw an unhappy look at Tweak that went unnoticed as far as he could tell, and set his food down before anything else happened to him. The one-eyed wonder continued to get to know their new-found friends and explained in little detail how she and Cyril met. It seemed to him that the odd woman didn't want him to finish at all, first banishing his appetite by touching what was left of his quail pie and then yanking him from his seat by his collar with a strength not suited to her stature. The finishing blow came when she cleared the booth herself without asking if he was done. 'Really....?' was all he thought before she returned and locked her arm with his, dragging him off excitedly towards one of the tallest rides you could find at a carnival. "Calm down will ya?" Cy said, readjusting his hat after the more than eager Tweak had pulled at it and expressed her excitement at the chance to ride the contraption. "It's just a Ferris Wheel." Although it seemed she had not heard him over the crowds and the machine itself, Cyril couldn't help but smile. Perhaps her enthusiasm was infectious as he too could not wait to get on. As soon as the cart they were in started to move, Tweak had gotten up to look over the side. A new perspective of the town was one of the things Ferris Wheels gave and the Zealot also found himself looking out of the window on his side, but preferred to stay in his seat. What Alchemy said was true. People did look minuscule from this height. It was fun trying to figure out what exactly some people were doing in the distance. The fresh, salty sea air was also more noticeable when they were away from the savory aromas of the carnival food. When the conversation turned to which hotel he and Tweak were staying at, the marksman immediately shifted his eyes towards the location of the burnt down inn although Tweak stated they were staying in the one Alchemy was pointing to. His thoughts returned to theorizing in which direction their targets had gone but an unexpected distraction brought him back to the present. Cyril hadn't been paying much attention to what was going on a moment before so he was slightly confused as to why the blue haired Zealot was sitting on him....but he didn't mind. A blush crept on Cy's face as he lowered the edge of his hat a little before he returned to gazing out the window. But his hat could not hide the smile on his face. 'Yeah, I'm glad too.' |
"They are my drawings," Joseph said with a smile, and then he frowned a bit, setting the book down. "Flying?" he questioned, shaking his head. "Surly you jest?" Eyes wide, he glanced to Aesh, who chuckled and nodded.
- Tweak caught the smile on Cyril's face, but said nothing. Instead, she returned the expression tenfold, slipping her arm through his as she sat back down. "Dinner together sounds like a good idea," the one-eyed youth said with a grin. "But I don't think tonight would be a good night. Everywhere will be stuffed with visitors, and I know that we have something to do." Like actually get a room in the inn. ((I'm going to have Abel's servant approach them. Later, that is.)) - See'r chuckled at Alchemy's words. "We aren't quite that high, Alchemy." His words lacked the conviction of a seeing man, but the silver-haired male was fairly certain they weren't high enough to see home. They were a good week's journey away, after all. Even if they were high enough, no one had eyes quite that strong. Nudging the blonde woman gently in the side, he ticked her, forcing her to sit back down. "You're making the cart rock," he said with an amused smile. "It's not a pleasant feeling when you can't see anything." |
Jake chuckled a bit and tried to smile "yes... yes i mixed up my words, i meant, i saw beautiful birds flying though the air" he chuckled nervously "thats is what i was suppose to say" he looked at him "one of those pictures looked like a familiar place though"
