Selena looked like she'd rather swallow a lemon. "I don't think leaving us alone is the best thing to do. You'll return to one of us dead or injured and the room trashed..." She had a feeling they would argue. There were a lot of bitter feelings.

"I can stay, but I'm not going to get in the middle of things," Glory warned.

"What if he clams up? I'm ready to talk, as long as there's someone there to monitor us, but I know he clams up all the time...I remember that much," Selena muttered, a hint of amusement in her voice. It seemed like Léan had been clamming it up for a long time.

"He's actually been getting better about that," Glory said. "I can ask him if he wants to talk, though."

"That might be a good idea," Selena agreed, nodding. "I don't want to shock him into silence or anything..."

Glory nodded and slipped back into the room.
"Selena says she's willing to talk, if it's alright with you," she said to Léan. "I'll hang around, but I'm not going to get in the middle of it." |
Léan groaned, popping up from under the blankets and folding his arms across his chest. He hadn't forgiven Selena for what she'd done to him. He didn't think he ever would. A bit of his old self could be seen rearing its head again.

Glory said down next to him.
"Come on," she said. "I refuse to be a go-between for the two of you forever, and I really think it'll be good for the both of you to talk about things." |
Léan's shoulders went up to his chin. "I really don't see the need," he replied, shortly. In truth, it looked like he was afraid of talking to her. The pain she had put him through was still seared fresh across his mind.

Gently, Glory hugged him.
"If you really don't want to, I'll tell her so," she said. "But I still think that it's a good idea to talk to her yourself. And I'll be right here." |
Léan returned the hug, barely hesitating at all. "I wouldn't know what to talk about," he persisted, quietly. "She knows what she did, and I don't really care anymore. It's in the past..."

"But if you don't talk to her about it, neither one of you will be able to move on from it," Glory pointed out. She sighed. "I've been bouncing between the two of you, trying to keep you both happy, and it's not working anymore. I'd rather you both talked and figured things out."

Léan reached up to rub at his temples. "I don't know what exactly I'm supposed to talk about, but if you think it will benefit me, somehow, then go for it..."
Selena, waiting outside, also didn't really know what to talk about. She supposed she would just apologize and get it over with. |
Glory gave him a small kiss.
"I know it's not fair for me to ask you to do this, and I'll make it up to you somehow," she said softly. Getting up, she went and opened the door a little. "You can come in, Selena." |
Selena slipped into the room without a word and sat down on her bed. For a long time, neither of them said anything. Selena just stared off into space. Then, she cleared her throat and apologized, softly, for what she had done to him.
Léan shrugged, absently. He'd expected to feel upset, but instead, he didn't feel anything at all. He wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. |
Glory sat on the bed next to Léan, not saying anything and just listening to them. Reaching over, she gently took his hand. She could feel the ring he'd given her rubbing between their fingers.

Léan closed his eyes for a moment. He looked relaxed, and he saw that Selena seemed a little better. So he wasn't sure what else there was to say.

Glory could tell when the tension in the room eased, and she moved a bit closer to Léan. If he wanted to put an arm around her, he could, but she wasn't going to rub it in Selena's face that they were 'together'.

Léan saw her intent, slightly, and gingerly slipped an arm around her. He didn't mind showing Selena this, since they were done with. As long as she didn't make any nasty comments...
Selena was quiet, and she looked a lot happier than she had looked before. |
Glory leaned against him a bit, enjoying the contact with him. She was glad that he wasn't as tense as he was before, though she knew he wouldn't completely relax until they were home again.

Léan absently flicked his tailfin up in the air a few times, as he rested. "...I think we should get food for the shark again before we forget," he quipped, suddenly.

"Are you volunteering to catch him something?" Glory teased. She shook her head a little and leaned against him. "I already planned to go to the kitchen to get him something."

Léan frowned. "I just got dry. And comfortable. So, no. And all right, then...I'm sure he must be hungry." He chanced a look at the shark to see it wandering aimlessly around the tank, searching fruitlessly for food.

"You know I'm teasing you," Glory said as she stood up. "I'll be right back, then."

Léan nodded slowly. This would be the true test, to see if the anger between himself and Selena had vanished. He just hoped nothing happened. He was planning on remaining silent until Glory returned, to prevent anything from happening, just in case.
