Glory slipped out of the room quietly, closing the door behind her. She made her way quickly down to the kitchen, and by now, the people running the kitchen didn't bother questioning her when she asked for more fish. Once she had the fish, she made her way back to the room.

Nothing seemed to have happened. Léan was curled up comfortably in bed, and he perked up when Glory returned, seeming cheery.
Selena was busy texting someone, rapidly. When Glory walked in, she stood up. "Hey, I think I'm going to go out and party. There's a party getting started out on the main beach." |
"Have fun," Glory said as she dropped the fish into the tank for the shark. She wasn't much into parties, so she had no interest in going.

The shark destroyed the fish once it was dropped into the tank. Even though it was a young shark, it still looked fearsome as it tore the fish into smaller bits to swallow.
Selena nodded, grabbing her bag and heading out into the hallway. She closed the door behind her. |
Sitting back on the bed, Glory made herself comfortable against Léan's side, cuddling with him.
"Feeling a bit better?" she asked softly. |
Léan turned over to face her, his head resting against the pillow. With his tail hidden beneath the blanket, he could have looked just like a normal human. "I will be much better once we get home, but I am good, for now," he replied, just as softly.

"We head home soon," Glory replied. "One more day." She gave him a soft kiss and cuddled closer to him.

Léan returned the kiss, gently, and nodded, smiling. "I am glad for that. I will have to get used to being on land, but I am sure I will be fine."

"It's not like the house is all that far from the shore, anyways," Glory pointed out. She fought back a yawn. Now that she was relaxing a bit, she realized how exhausted she was, from both the trip to the reef and from getting so much sun.

"True, but I will probably be inside a lot," Léan responded, simply. He noticed her fighting her yawn, and yawned, as well. "Perhaps we should get some sleep."

"Sleep sounds good," Glory agreed, already starting to drift off. She was comfortable in his arms, and she was so tired...

Léan closed his eyes, pulling the blanket up more over them. He shifted and then settled down, also starting to drift off...

Glory stepped off the plane, pulling her jacket a bit tighter around her shoulders. It was definitly colder at home, though she almost welcomed the chill. "It's good to be home," she commented to nobody in particular. Gathering the giant suitcase and her own personal suitcase, she made her way to her car. "I missed my car," she said to herself. Unlocking the trunk, she carefully put the big suitcase in, making sure not to jostle it around. "Ten more minutes, then we'll be home." |
Léan had been excited until they'd stepped on the plane. And then he had started to worry about his father again, and--more so--about Archie's reaction to their sudden closeness. He didn't want to be tackled by him.
He was happy again, however. There was small thumping coming from the suitcase--his tail was attempting to swish back and forth inside of it. "I am ready to go home," he sighed, in agreement. He could feel the nice, cool air through the suitcase. |
It didn't take long for Glory to drive home. She actually grinned when she heard the familiar crunch as the tires of her car went over the sand that had blown onto the driveway.
"It is SO good to be home," she said as she unloaded her car again. She bypassed the house completely, going straight out to the beach with the big suitcase. Once she was close enough to the shore, she opened it. |
Léan pulled himself out of the suitcase and then slid into the water, eagerly. He swam in quick circles around the rocks, making happy, soft little cooing noises.

"It feels good to be home," Glory said. Leaning down, she gave him a kiss. "You go on and do what you need to do, I'm going to go unpack."

Léan, in high spirits, had no problem returning the kiss, and he nodded as he ducked down below the water. He set out to do a preliminary search of the area for signs of his father, and to figure out where Archie was hiding.

Glory went inside, dragging her personal suitcase behind her.
"I'm home, Nana," she called. "Welcome home, Glory," Nana called from the back room. "How was the trip?" "It was great," Glory replied as she tossed her suitcase onto her bed. "It's good to be home, though." "I'll bet," Nana said, coming to stand in the doorway of Glory's room. "It was very quiet around here." "I missed you too, Nana," Glory said, grinning. Unzipping her suitcase, she started to unpack her things. |
Léan didn't have to look far to find his brother. He knew Archie better than anyone else, and he soon located him. He'd hidden Damon somewhere safe, however, so he didn't find Damon. Archie, ever-perceptive, seemed to sense that something was up, and he pestered Léan about it all the way back to the beach.

Once her things were unpacked, Glory went back outside to see if Léan was back yet. It was chilly outside, but she didn't mind. It felt good after a week in Hawaii.

Léan was resting in the shallows, laid out and happily ignoring his brother.
Archie was behind him, whining and poking at him. He paused to wave spastically at Glory before returning to his poking-assault on Léan. |
Glory rolled her eyes when she saw Archie already pestering Léan.
"We haven't even been back half an hour and you're already bugging him," she commented. |
Archie frowned, then instead turned his pestering to her. Instead of using a poking assault, like he had on Léan, he simply leaned forward and flicked his tail back and forth, a smug expression on his face.
It was almost like he knew what happened. Like he could see or smell it on them. |
Glory said an eyebrow.
"What's that look for?" she asked, although she had the distinct feeling she already knew. |
