Léan seemed skeptical. "I am still a bit wary...I don't want others to possibly see my tail..." he murmured, uncomfortably.

"We'll come up with a way to make sure nobody sees," Glory said.

Léan nodded, looking relieved. He trusted her on that one. "Should we see if the chair fits me? We will have to know, after all, how much we will need to tie up or restrain my tail."

"Once we head inside, I'll get the wheelchair from my car," Glory said. She grinned. "Right now, the shark looks like he wants a playmate."

Léan grumbled and gently pushed the shark away. It pushed against his side with its nose, insistently. He hadn't tried to mouth anyone yet, and it was a good thing, since he had several rows of sharp teeth.

"Oh, go and see what he wants," Glory said. "You don't have to be such a buzzkill all the time."
|
"He wants to play. And I don't want to..." Léan complained. It was in that sort of semi-whiny 'Mommy, I don't wanna do it!' tone.

"So play with him," Glory said. "You might actually have fun for more than a split second."
|
Léan huffed, folding his arms across his chest. The shark nudged him again, and Léan splashed him, trying to make him go away. The shark, in return, ducked under and slapped him with his tail.

"I don't think he's going to leave you alone until you play with him," Glory said.
|
Léan groaned. He boredly splashed the shark a few times, watching as it swam around in circles and tried to splash him back. That seemed to sate the shark for now, but Léan just looked overly-annoyed.

Glory rolled her eyes.
"It won't kill you to play a little," she said. |
"I really don't feel like it, though," Léan sighed, reaching up to scratch his head. "I'm many things, most of them not-so-good. But I'm no babysitter..."

"I'm thinking you might want to become a babysitter fairly quickly, since you're going to be an uncle," Glory pointed out, grinning a bit. "I took a babysitting course once, so technically I'm qualified to babysit, but still."

Léan snorted, amused. "I am not good with children. The smaller they are, the worse they are. I don't have the patience to deal with children." He shuddered.

"What are you going to do if you ever have kids?" Glory asked, teasingly.
|
"Try not to murder them," Léan replied, idly. It wasn't clear if he was kidding or not. He hated small children--babies were just as terrible. He had no patience for them.

Glory raised an eyebrow.
"Really?" she asked. She liked kids. The times she had to look after her younger cousins, before she ran away, saw her become the favorite pillow to sleep on and the favorite cushion to sit on to watch cartoons, and she didn't mind. |
"Really. I don't mind them when they're older, but I do not like children in the least," Léan confirmed, quietly. Nearly every child he'd come across acted like his brother, and he was not fond of being around that sort of person, no matter what their age was.

"I like kids," Glory said. "I also take being jumped on better than you do, so that might be part of it. I watched my cousins, a few times, and I ended up with kids on my lap for hours, and hanging off my back and such. It didn't bother me."

"It bothers me..." Léan frowned. Obviously, he was not a very family-orientated sort of person. Little kids, pets...most people in general, actually...didn't seem to tickle his fancy.

Glory saw the change in his mood immediately.
"What's wrong?" she asked. "And don't tell me nothing, I know bullshit when I hear it." |
"It's nothing...honestly..." Léan closed his eyes, settling down to rest again. He was telling the truth, for the most part. He didn't feel too well.

"Are you sure?" Glory asked. She could see he wasn't looking all that well, and she was concerned.
|
Léan sighed slowly, in a resigned tone. "My head is killing me...I think I need to rest for a while, somewhere quiet..." Even the pressure of the water, in that shallow water, was making his head and ears pound.
