"Secrets?" Glory asked curiously. She hadn't heard anything that would really qualify, but again, she slept like a rock.
"Er...I probably shouldn't have said that." Léan grinned, sheepishly. "Ask Arcturus...he knows what I mean..." He wouldn't say any more on the topic. Instead, he stretched himself out, yawning widely.
"That's not fair," Glory said, mock-pouting. She leaned up and kissed him.
Léan returned her kiss for a few moments before pulling back, arching an eyebrow. "What isn't fair?" he asked, innocently.
"You know very well what," Glory replied teasingly. She laid her head gently on his shoulder and cuddled close.
"I talk in my sleep. Oftentimes, I will talk about things I shouldn't," Léan replied simply, closing his eyes.
"You know, you never actually tell me anything," Glory pointed out. "I always have to pry answers out of you."
Léan scowled. "...Well...I just don't like to talk all that much..." he replied, offhandedly.
"We'll have to work on that," Glory teased. She fought back a yawn and snuggled in. "I think I'm going to go back to sleep for a bit."
Léan nodded, stretching himself out. "...I think I may do the same," he replied, softly. He seemed like he just wanted to relax...and spend time with her.
Glory gave him another kiss and then rested her head on his chest. She was warm and comfortable, and it didn't take her long to doze off again.
Léan followed her soon after. He was quiet for a while, and then he began to mumble in his sleep, about many different things...
Glory stirred a bit when he started to talk in his sleep, but she didn't fully wake up. She was too comfortable with him.
Léan didn't move at all as he spoke. He was muttering something about how anxious he had been feeling lately, and how much he wanted to fit in above the water.
Glory slept deep enough to dream, but she didn't dream anything paticularly unusual, so it didn't wake her up.
Léan slept soundly, though he continued to babble in his sleep, aimlessly, about several different things.
The week was pretty typical for Glory. At least, nothing really noteworthy happened. Finally, Friday afternoon came around again, and Glory was glad when she was able to throw her bag into her room and relax.
Léan had finally mastered walking. He had been practicing all week, and was finally able to walk for quite a while before getting tired. He was waiting for her back home, leaning against the wall near her room. He'd also learned to dress himself properly.
"Hey," Glory greeted him, giving him a kiss. "Hopefully, your day wasn't as boring as mine."
Léan wrapped his arms loosely around her, resting their foreheads together. "I can walk up the stairs without falling, now," he informed her, brightly. He seemed proud of himself. The last time he had tried, with her help, he had slipped and fallen, and almost taken her with him.
"I'm proud of you," Glory replied. "It's good excersize, too." She grinned. "At least now you won't trip us both now."
Léan tilted his head slightly, and then grumbled. "I'm not that balance-challenged..."
"Not anymore," Glory teased, giving him another kiss.
Léan sighed, pleasantly, after gently returning her kiss. He was silent for a moment...and then, he cleared his throat, awkwardly. "...Erm...have you...noticed...anything?" he asked, tentatively. He promised he would ask her at the end of the week...
Glory blushed and her shoulders tensed a bit.
"Not... really," she said, "but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for..." |
