"I planned on keeping an eye on him," Glory replied.
Lleu nodded, and then sighed. "I had better stay away from him, then...if he manages to recognize me, and he is trouble, something bad will probably happen."
"That doesn't mean you still can't visit, though," Glory pointed out. "If he has problems with it, well, he's not the one in charge."
"Ah, but I'm a tad worried, still...I will keep my distance until I have found some solid information..." Lleu assured her, gently.
"Your choice, I guess," Glory replied. She stretched a little. "I should head back soon..."
Lleu nodded, slowly. "All right...I will head back, now, to Utzi...I will use my resources to help me find out about Aster..."
Glory nodded.
"Alright," she said. She knew she wasn't going to get anything else out of him. "I should head back, then. I had planned on resting for a while." |
"You should do so...but be careful of Aster. Keep an eye on him..." Lleu bowed his head, politely, and turned to leave. He would research at Utzi.
((I'll be back. Have to take a shower...)) |
"I'll keep an eye on him," Glory said. Turning, she made her way back closer to shore.
Léan had returned from his talk with Aster. He looked puzzled, but accomplished. "Aster doesn't remember the name 'Lleu,'" he murmured, when she returned.
"And Lleu has no idea where he knows Aster from," Glory replied. "He's not even sure how he knows him at all. At least it's almost consistent." She took his hand gently. "Come on, let's go find somewhere to settle in for a little while."
Léan nodded, smiling. He had told Aster to keep his distance, so they would be safe if he posed any threat for a while. He glanced around, idly. "Should we stay out here, or...?"
"Maybe somewhere not so open?" Glory requested. She wanted to cuddle with him for a while without someone tripping over them.
"Well...we could try some of the caves in the rocks, or we could head inside, where there is no one but your grandmother..." Léan mused, unsure of where they could go underwater without the possibility of his brother or someone else finding them.
"One of the caves is alright," Glory said. She didn't want to have to transition back inside.
Léan nodded, understanding her dilemma. He took her hand, gently, and led her down below the rocks. There were many caves in the rocks, but he was looking for one that was semi-roomy, comfortable, and out-of-the-way so no one would find them.
Glory held his hand and followed him. It was quiet down in the rocks, and she was grateful. She just wanted to relax after everything earlier in the day.
Léan chose one of the larger caves, which was slightly underground and had a lot of space. It was sort of dark, but it was out-of-sight and no one would be able to locate them...not easily, anyway.
Glory followed him into the cave and settled down. Resting with him for a while sounded nice.
Léan sighed as he settled down, his eyes drifting closed. He curled up close with her, idly wrapping their tails together. He seemed perfectly content just resting for a while...
Glory cuddled closer to him. The twins were moving again, but she tried to ignore it in favor of a nap. She was tired, and she was snuggled in comfortably.
Léan managed to fall asleep before her. All the concern, the paranoia...it seemed to fade whenever he slept. It was one of the only times his expression was completely peaceful...
Glory snuggled close and rested her head on his shoulder. It didn't take her much longer than him to fall asleep. She slept peacefully, and she would probably sleep for a while.
Léan woke up first--he was startled awake by an odd sound. He couldn't quite place it, but he looked around, slowly, as he contemplated. "...Running motor..." he murmured, to himself. "A car...?"
Glory woke up when he mumbled to himself.
"Do you hear something?" she asked softly. |
