((Alright, night~))
Glory recognized the signs by now, and held Orion close so he could nurse. Hopefully, Autumn wouldn't start fussing until Orion was done. Autumn hadn't even realized she was hungry yet. She was still distracted spending time with her father. |
Léan took pains to make sure that Autumn stayed distracted, for now. He even did a few little flips in the water. He only stopped once Orion was finished.
|
Autumn giggled as she was carried around. She was enjoying the ride, but she was also starting to realize she was hungry, and her giggling tapered off in favor of reaching towards her mother and twin.
Glory waited for Orion to finish. He was taking a while, this time, but it had also been longer than usual since his last feeding. |
When Orion finally finished, he curled up in a tight ball and immediately wanted to go to sleep. He was getting crabby again.
Léan handed Autumn off to Glory before she could fuss. He didn't want that. He couldn't stand it when children cried, and he tended to get more annoyed and panicky than anything else. |
Glory quickly handed him Orion before he could move away again.
"Just relax and let him sleep," she said as she settled Autumn in her arms. Autumn immediately set about nursing. She was hungry after the excitement today. |
Léan did not want to hold him. He immediately turned and set him down on the ground where he had been before and then headed back towards his sleeping spot, laying down and curling up.
|
((Welcome back. Feeling any better?))
Glory sighed, but didn't comment. Once Autumn finished, Glory leaned over and gently picked up Orion, holding them both. |
((I'm just dead tired--not feeling sick anymore. I need sleep. I'll be heading to bed in the next ten minutes or so. This might be my last post for the night. :( ))
Orion complained, quite loudly, when he was picked up. But he eventually settled down. Léan didn't feel like holding either of them. He just curled himself up very tightly. He appeared to be quite tired, for he began to drift off even while Orion fussed. |
((That's fine. Sleep as long as you need to.))
Glory settled the twins both down gently and curled up around them carefully so they could all nap. Autumn immediately curled up as well and cuddled closer to her brother. |
Léan was already asleep. He was looking a little pale, like he didn't feel the best. Perhaps he was overly exhausted, for some reason.
Orion huffed and finally completely settled down. |
Glory dozed on and off, not falling completely asleep.
Autumn cuddled with her brother, already asleep. She was always most comfortable next to her brother. |
Léan was fully asleep until he heard the telltale sounds of giggling a few feet away. He woke up almost immediately, an unamused frown on his face.
Archie was back, with Damon by his side. It seemed the two had reconciled. |
Glory heard the giggling as well and glanced around, though she tried not to disturb the twins.
|
Archie poked his head out from behind one of the rocks, waving. It was followed by Damon's. They were probably there to pick up Eden, who was fast asleep by now.
|
Glory waved back. She figured they were here to pick up Eden, so she wasn't all that surprised to see them both.
|
Archie quietly swam over and scooped up Eden, who whined just a bit before relaxing again. He was grinning like an idiot, and kept doing so as he returned to Damon.
|
Glory rolled her eyes and propped herself up a bit on her arms so she was able to see them better without waking the twins. She didn't want to disturb them, since they were sleeping well.
|
((We just got a new puppy. He's been barking all night and he's finally shut up, so I'm going to try and get some shut-eye. I might be back on if he starts up again. D: ))
Léan watched Archie with wary eyes as the more cheery twin waved to them and scuttled off with Damon and Eden in tow. Once they were gone, he lowered his head onto his arms again and muttered a string of complaints about being woken up. |
((Tennis balls and a stuffed squeaky bear. Works every time with our dog. What breed is yours?))
"You could have gone back to sleep, you know," Glory murmured to him. "Nothing was stopping you. You didn't even get jumped on." She would have gone over to him, but she had the twins sleeping on her. "Come and snuggle in with us?" |
((We've tried putting toys in there with him. He still won't shut up. D:... He's a beagle. Five months old. We now have three beagles--two fifteen-inches and one thirteen-inch.))
Léan sighed and budged up from where he was laying, lazily drifting over to her and cuddling in at at her side, not touching the twins. He didn't feel like being near them right now--he was in one of his moods and just wanted to rest. "I didn't want to go back to sleep and wake up with him clinging to me..." |
((Ah. I've heard beagles like to bark a lot. Our dog is a cocker spaniel, so he's quieter and loves his stuffed squeaky bear. This dog is never happier than when he has Bear and a bunch of tennis balls.))
"I wouldn't have let him tackle you," Glory replied softly as he cuddled with her. Turning slightly, she gave him a kiss. "Go on back to sleep." |
((Oh, they do. Our oldest beagle, who's nine, bays at every little thing from a car coming down the road to a loud bump in the house. Our six year-old beagle doesn't howl or bay--he just barks. The little one does both.))
Léan purred softly, seeming pleased with her answer, and gingerly drifted off into sleep. He would be in a better mood after getting some shut-eye. |
((Our dog isn't the brightest dog ever... but we love him.))
Once she was sure he was asleep, Glory let herself drift off as well. She was pretty sure the twins would sleep for at least another hour or so. |
((I don't know if the little one is smart or not, yet...our nine year-old is incredibly smart but quite stubborn. The six year-old is...er...really not bright. He runs into walls. X3))
Orion slept for about an hour and fifteen minutes before he stirred, making grumbling sounds in his throat that forewarned all who were listening that he was unhappy. |
Glory slept lightly enough that she woke up when Orion started fussing. Sitting up, she shifted over just enough so that she could pick him up without bothering Autumn or Léan. She held Orion close and rocked him gently.
