Publishing info?
I'm looking to get something published, but I honestly have no idea where to begin.
What do I do? Does anyone know? Or know of a place I can find out? |
It depends on what you write.
|
Where are you in the process of writing (finished, in the middle of it, or haven't even start)? And what are you writing (poems, short stories, or novels)? It makes a difference in the kind of answer you're going to get.
|
Well, what I do is I go to worthyofpublishing.com
People read your work and comment on it giving advice and such.. and if they think your book is really good, they'll help you publish it :o |
I know a site like that, except its called Quizilla.

Articles, short stories, poems, novellas, or books? Adults or children? It all depends on what you are writing about... |
I use Critique Circle for editing and Writer's Market to help with publishing.

lol, Quizilla is where I got started writing. It's not a very good place to begin, so I moved to ff.net and just wrote a bunch of O/cs for a series set in our universe (like harry potter or dracula)
Usually what you do is write out a general synopsis and send it to a publisher (usually multiple publishers), then it's up to them to decide if it's worthy of publishing or not. If you google book publishing, you can find some good resources and a general rundown of criteria on what you need. |
