I did that in the 3rd Grade @ Eastern. It was fun. xD *Before that in 3rd Grade @ South East, we did it with monarch butterflies before I moved away and transferred to Eastern. |
In one of my extra classes in 5th grade, we did that and kept the chicks for awhile after they hatched. Then they went to a local farm.

What color of chicks did you guys hatch?

They were mainly yellow. I can't remember if there were any other colors, I think there might have been a brown or black one.

@ Twisted; We got yellow ones, too. Most of them had white crescent bellies that made them even more cute. 8D
Awww! A black one? Thats rare ~ I'd like to own a black chickyyy. *-* I used to have a pet duck but I had to give him away once he got older to the public park in Kokomo. @ Poet; Yussum, they are. <3 <3 I want to try it with those blue/black ones though. :drool: |
Hmm my dad talked about having 2 ducks... he once told me that the dog would keep burrying them in the ground with their heads stuck out XD

I remember we had ladybugs and monarch butterflies. The other grades got to see them too, so when the butterflies where in their crysalis, some little kids shook them because they didn't know any better and a few died. :( There was a sign that said not to shake their little habitat thing, but of course pre-k and kindergarten kids can't really read.
