Senior Dog died yesterday. I'm sad, but I don't really miss her. No more having to watch where I step so I don't step in dog pee or poo. No morning incessant whining and scratching at the door. I picked up her bowl and cleaned it out and I'm sad, but I'm not sad.

Awwww, I'm sorry. Was it an easy death, like did she sleep to death?

Oh god, it was hard. I don't even want to say what happened. But it was sort of what needed to happen. The "What should we do with Scutter?" question was coming up every few days and yet we never did anything about it. So she needed to go and I'm relieved that she's gone, but it was pretty damn awful.

Thanks. I've been feeling guilty for not feeling too torn up about it today. It's just a relief. All of that stuff that was bugging me about her is gone. It's hard to love a dog that tortures you x_x

Niku and I had a nice quiet day. I didn't step in any pee puddles. Niku didn't have to snap at whiny old Scutter. We just chilled.
