Unsure About Clues
 

No, this isn't asking for them. I just wanted to know something. I went into a thread I was in Friday where we were giving each other extra hints for the clue people couldn't figure out (not giving out the answers) but I went in today and they said someone came in and said we can't do that. However, on the announcement I see it says you can discuss them in hangout threads. In another one discussing the egg hunt I saw it said that you could give vague hints because the thread maker didn't want the thread to get locked.

So, this brings me to my question! I want to know what's going on with this and where I could possibly get some extra hints since I have like 30 clues I can't figure out o.o; Or is something like this against the rules now?

You can give hints, just not in the Easter announcement thread. And they have to be just hints, not directions on where to find baskets. You can help your friends and get help in any thread you normally hang out in. :D

It's against the event rules to make threads specifically about the event that are about the clues.

The egg-trading thread is an "event thread", but it's about egg-trading, not egg-finding. As long as it's only about egg-trading, then it's fine.

Any threads made specifically for or turn out to be just egg-finding will be locked as it's a central point for locating answers.

You're more than welcome to go to threads in the forums and talk about clues there. :) Menewsha Nations is the best place to go as they're just hangout threads and people can talk about whatever they like (within the site rules) there. ;)

I suggest not talking about clues in the egg-trading thread. It's an unofficial request, however. (Especially since all the clues have been out about half a day now.) As long as trading remains the primary focus and no one's just telling people exactly where to go, everything will be fine, though. :)

Also, if you'd like you can PM me about them, as I've gotten all 80 and have been helping people give clues to the ones I remember. But I guess the reason asking for clues in the egg hunting thread is likely mostly to avoid clutter and losing a deal from too many active users =)
