Shadow stretched a bit, not all that worried at all about what a group of human girls could possibly do to him, though he was thankful that the awful flirtation had been stopped. "It's quite all right," he murmured. "I am used to it. My looks...attract unwanted attention."

Maria nodded. She had finished her food just as the bell rang. She threw her tray of things away, for the school used disposable trays, and then waited for Shadow at the exit of the cafeteria.

Shadow went with her, seeming content, though he didn't enjoy the rush of students exiting the cafeteria. It seemed his discomfort for crowds followed him everywhere.

She now noticed that he wasn't comfortable in the school like he had seemed to be before. She figured that it was because the students weren't as 'controlled' when going to their next period class from lunch. She thought about her schedule and remembered that her parents had forced her to sign up for an art class. It wasn't like she hated art, she was just already good enough at it that she didn't believe she needed to take a class on it. She turned to look at Shadow. "What class do you have next?"

Shadow pulled his schedule out from his pocket, glancing at it. "Band," he replied. "I play the violin."

Maria sighed. "I'll have to talk to you later then. Consider yourself lucky that you don't have parents that stick you in something like an art class" She then walked off towards the art room, dragging her feet.

Shadow hummed thoughtfully, stepping into the band room. He looked around for the seat with his name on it and sat down, looking around to see if there was anyone he knew in here.

Maria sat in her art class, just drawing random things. Meanwhile...
Lanina walked into the band room just as the bell had rang. The only open seat was next to Shadow. She smirked a bit because this had truly made her happy. She turned to talk to him, totally ignoring what ever the teacher was saying. "So what's your deal anyway? You're not the social type. Your an orphan? Secretly emo? Planning to bomb the school?" She laughed at the last suggestion. |
"I am an orphan. I do have emotions. I am a non-violent person unless provoked and do not have access to high-class C4," he muttered in response, half-paying attention to the teacher.

Lanina smirked a bit more "and if you did have access to high class C4? Would you?" She planned to keep asking as many questions as possible. She wanted to bug him, to the fullest extent of her ability. She wanted to know his limit of patience.

"I have no reason to," Shadow replied, shrugging. "This place has been kind to me so far." He could sort of sense that was what she was aiming for, and he was going to resist.

Lanina shook her head. "So far you say. What if someone dumped milk in your locker?" she smirked a bit. It was something ridiculous to suggest but it was the ridiculousness of it that might annoy him more.

"I do not plan on using my assigned locker, so I wouldn't care," Shadow replied, somewhat absently. He was tracing little circles on his desk with his pointer finger, wishing the teacher would stop going over his 'Welcome to my classroom for the first time' ordeal. It was extremely boring.

Lanina still looked amused. She clearly had patience. "What if someone took a can of spray paint to your car?" She knew though that soon the teacher would be assigning instrument music, and she wouldn't be able to keep asking questions of Shadow.

"If they made fancy artwork-style graffiti, I may leave it on for a while," Shadow informed her, dryly. "If it was awful, I would simply have it repainted."

Lanina went to talk to him some more, but it was a time that she couldn't ignore the teacher any longer. She was handed sheet music, it turned out she played the flute. Lanina started to look over the music, seeming to dislike it.

Shadow seemed to enjoy the sheet music he'd gotten. The teacher also handed him a second song, this one for the piano. It seemed like he would be helping the teacher out with the piano, seeing as the teacher was usually the one who played the piano for the band. He studied the second set of sheet music with interest as well.

Lanina smirked a bit. It appeared to her that Shadow did like music. It also started to spark an idea that she just couldn't ignore. Soon Lanina got up from her chair and asked to go to the bathroom. She was okayed to go by the teacher and she took her sheet music with her, clearly not planning on coming back. She had some serious work to do.

Shadow stood up, scanning his schedule to figure out which class he had next. He didn't notice when Lanina left, or if she ever came back. He had seemed engrossed in his sheet music.

Maria walked out of her art class, having drawn about three pictures within one class period, and sighed. It was going to be a long school year if she got stuck in that class every day. Truthfully the three drawings were the assignments for the next three or so weeks. She supposed that she could use the time as like a study hall, though that would still be boring. Maria looked at her schedule to see what she had next. Her schedule read that she had CAD next, but seriously what is up with her taking CAD? It's like she took all the good classes throughout her high school career and now she got stuck in what ever was left. She began walking to the CAD room, slightly keeping a look out for Shadow.

Shadow almost ran into her in the hallway. "Hello, Maria. Your friend Lanina is either plotting something or violently ill," he recalled idly. "She left in the middle of band for the bathroom and never returned..."

Maria looked a bit startled when her and Shadow almost ran into her. "Hello..." she said while shaking off being alerted all of a sudden. She then took some time to think of what he had said. "I'm thinking it's the first one." She frowned, unable to shake the feeling that something bad could be done to Shadow or his things because of her introducing him to her friends.

"I am prepared for whatever she has in store for me," Shadow assured her, calmly. He seemed so sure of himself...

Maria noticed how sure he was. She wondered why he seemed to have no care in the world about would could be done. It was kind of hard to believe, but she was starting to think that maybe he thought he was perfect and invinsible. Maria smiled at him, "So what class do you have next?"

Shadow stared at his schedule idly. "...Philosophy." He seemed a little happier, now. It was obviously a favorite for him.
