Hayner liked horror, but he liked them more about things that could actually happen. A serial killer didn't scare him as much as zombies did, for some reason. Soon, the doorbell rang, and the 'pause' button was hit immediately. "Food's here..."

"I'll go get it." Seifer unwillingly removed himself from Hayner's side, heading upstairs. He paid the delivery man and tipped him lightly before gathering up all the food and heading downstairs with it.
He set it out on the table. "There we go." |
Hayner felt lonely when Seifer got up, but he thanked his mother for the half-kitchen downstairs, and headed to get some bowls for the four of them.
"Alright, can you bring it back here?" The counters were safe from the puppies, for now. "Let's get their rice done, first, then we'll get out food." |
Seifer gathered up the food and headed over to him, contently.
"Sounds like a plan. Here." He picked out the rice for him and pushed the container towards him. |
"Thanks." Hayner took it and got out two metal bowls; one large and one small enough to be a cereal bowl. A little over half the package went into the big bowl, and the little bowl was filled with the rest. He whistled and the dogs bounded towards him, and he set Harker's bowl on the tile floor, then took Bentley's to the other side of the kitchen and stood to watch them eat. "We have to make sure Bentley doesn't bully Harker out of his food...but they're good boys, and he'll back off if you give a sharp noise." He nodded, smiling a little. Once the dogs were finished, he let them wander back to the couch and brought the bowls and a large plate over to the high table; it looked like a table at a cafe.
He dumped out the two containers of chicken on the plate for them both to share, and turned to the rice containers. "How much do you want?" He questioned, going to feed him first. |
Seifer looked amused at the prospect of that little bulldog bullying the Kangal out of his food. It was hilarious to imagine. But still, it wasn't fair. "I'll keep an eye on them."
"Hm...a good amount, I guess, but feed yourself first," Seifer insisted pointedly. |
"Thanks." It was kind of funny, sure, but...Harker was like Bentley's ho; Hayner had his inkling they were gay and Harker had to lay down for Bentley to do his business.
"You sure?" He made up his bowl pretty quickly; he didn't like a lot of rice, more of the chicken stuff. "More or less rice?" |
"No problem." Seifer was still nearly snickering over the image generated in his brain of the bulldog overtaking the much larger dog.
"I like a good mix of both, but I'd rather have more rice, yeah..." he offered finally, stretching a bit. |
Hayner smiled a little, dumping it in the bowl with the beef.
"THere...more rice, and I like less." He offered, smiling a bit. "Here we go." He laid it out for him, "They won't eat it, but you should probably hurry up. And we need to eat up here." |
Seifer nodded, eagerly digging into his food. He didn't realize how hungry he was, and now that he thought about it, he was quite ravenous. Hayner was right--this place did make good food...

Hayner tucked into his meal, as well, happily eating away while a tall dog sniffed at the table. The place made the best food he'd had from a delivery place here, so he always ordered from it. "So...what are we gonna tell Roxas tomorrow?"

Seifer paused, chewing, as he thought that over. "Rai and Fuu don't care what I do relationship-wise, but I don't know about Roxas," he muttered finally. "Maybe it'd be best to tell him the truth? Have him test me or something if he doesn't trust me. I'm an ass and a bully, but I can be a good guy when it comes to a relationship."
He knew this deep down, but he'd never shown it, seeing as he'd never found someone he could get emotionally attached to. ---------- ((I gotta eat--I'll be back.)) |
"Pence and Olette will probably just smile and nod...but I have a feeling Rox will kill me." He laughed a little, taking a bite as he thought. "The truth may be the best way to handle it...but I can guarantee that if he tests you, it'll be...odd. Likely something to do with seeing how you'd do with protecting me instead of using me for a punching bag."
He only hoped that Seifer wasn't lying. But...after what they'd done today, he could tell that he was nicer than he let on. |
Seifer nodded, swallowing a mouthful of rice. "I don't mind being tested. Really. As long as it's not something mega-embarrassing."
Seifer was a nice guy deep down, but only when it came to people he cared about. Other people didn't really matter to him, in the least. |
Hayner smiled a little, nodding slightly. "So...does that mean you...actually want..." He blushed again, looking down at his food and stealing a piece of teriyaki chicken. "Or...you just don't want it to be inconvenient if you decide you want to?" Because Roxas could be a bit thing keeping them apart if he wanted to.
Hayner was a nice guy unless you gave him reason not to be. Most times, other times, he just wanted a fight to punch someone in the face. |
"Roxas isn't an inconvenience. If he interferes, it'll be more amusing than anything else," Seifer assured him, grinning. "Roxas might be tough, but I'm taller and older than him. I don't think he'll risk beating on me too much, and I won't let him beat on you. I...am pretty sure I want this. So, nothing's going to stop me as long as you do, too."
Seifer also had urges to punch someone in the face when he was angry. He often did so. |
"Roxas likely would just keep me with him and away from you as often as he could...especially if he has reason to think you'd be beating on me and I'd turn into some abused housewife or something." Hayner scoffed, rolling his eyes. "I mean, sure, you're stronger than I am, but Hell, I'd never let you treat me like that. If you were beating on me like..." His eyes suddenly averted down, "Shit, I'd never dilute myself to think that you hit me because you loved me. I know that ain't love; I know what we've had for as long as I remember wasn't love. Not...until recently." Then he seemed to accept what else Seifer had said. "I'm glad...because I've wanted this for a while." He smiled, his feet kicking slightly beneath the table.
It was nice, though, that with that sentence, Seifer admitted he wouldn't do anything if Hayner didn't want it. It was a settling thought, and maybe something he could get Roxas to hear and agree with. |
"I always saw you as a rival--someone I could actually relate to," Seifer explained. "If we hadn't constantly warred with each other, even from the beginning, things might have been a little different. But we warred with each other, and everything turned out like this. I think I've felt something for you for a long time now. Respect, admiration...you were the only one I went after that wouldn't run away like a coward. I just needed a little push forward to see it..."
Seifer was planning to own up to his statement, as best he could. He was a natural-born asshole, though, and would take some conditioning to shape into a good significant other. ---------- ((I have to pop out for a bit to buy something. I'll be back.)) |
Hearing that had Hayner gasping a little to himself, looking up. However, at the last portion, he laughed softly. "I never ran from you because you're an ass and you're a bully, but you're too damn hot to be scary." He shook his head. "Like, maybe if you had Rai's looks but kept your brains, I'd be scared...but there's no reason to really fear you. Sure, you could do some damage, but I always figured you liked keeping me around for some reason or another." A shrug, "I've felt something for you since the moment I met you...back when I was in preschool. You took my milk money and I was disappointed...but...it went on from there. And...now, there's this. I'm definitely not complaining." He rose and moved over to the other, kissing at his lips. "Now...the only thing we really need to think about is...do we want to let school know or...what?"
Hayner would almost force him, if he had to; he could be quite persuasive when he wanted to be, and he could easily whip Seifer into shape. He hoped. |
Seifer kissed him back, then kissed the tip of his nose, playfully. "Really, now? Well...Rai is a scary-looking guy. I think it'd be fine to let the school know. Most people know I swing both ways, anyway, or at least suspect it..." He air-quoted, "...'because I'm a rebel like that.'"
Seifer was stubborn, but he would be easy to 'train' as long as he was kept satisfied. |
"Rai may be scary-looking, but he has the IQ of a carton of milk." Hayner pointed out, wrapping his arms around Seifer's neck and kissing him again. "Okay...now, the entire school gets to find out that I'm a crossdresser for you." He'd never do it for anyone else; even Roxas had a hard time getting him into the outfits.
Hayner was just as stubborn, but he knew he could deliver; that blush was still a reminder that he did good. |
"Pfft. Probably not even a carton. Maybe a paper cup full o' milk," Seifer retorted, scoffing, as he returned the gesture. "If anyone's got a problem with it, I suppose they'll have to deal with the Disciplinary Committee. Bullying based on orientation and on style is not allowed with us around.
Seifer sincerely hoped so--when he got stubborn, it was incredibly difficult to bring him down from any sort of anger or distaste, or to convince him to do something he didn't feel like doing. |
"Yeah, you're probably right. Maybe a paper plate with milk on it..." That sounded more like Rai. "I doubt they'd raise problems if I'm yours. Most kids at school fear you." Hayner replied with a shrug. "Like, sincerely. I'm the only one 'stupid' enough to stick up to you."
Hayner knew he could handle himself; and if Seifer hit him, he could take it. He'd handled it before. "What if Rai or Fuu aren't into this?" |
"True, true. Best to be careful, anyway." Seifer nodded to himself.
Seifer had a temper--sure. But, he would try to refrain from using his fists to get his point across. With Hayner, at least. At his last statement, Seifer snorted. "It's not up to them. They chose to follow me. They have to deal with whatever I do." |
"Yeah.." Hayner nodded a bit as well, pushing a little closer when he felt a dog nose on his thigh.
Hayner would definitely use other things to get his point across if the need arose. Be it threatening himself or Seifer, he'd get his point across if it came down to a do-or-die situation. He doubted it would, though. Hayner shrugged, "What if they decide it's time to discipline me because I stole their leader?" |
