The necklace isn't the BMI; the BMI is completely in the skull, so it can't be seen. Also, the necklace has no features which would mark it as a piece of technology, and only the chain of the necklace is the piece of technology - the pendant is a normal pendant and only looks pretty.

The link you used makes it sound like an external device. It even says that it is. So you might want be more specific in your post that it is completely in his/her skull. I read it as partially exposed.
