Books With Wolves

I just started reading "Promise of the Wolves" by Dorothy Hearst. I love how it's written with the wolves telling the story and was wondering if anyone had any books like this they could suggest to me.

Hmm, I've never read that book, but I love wolves so I may have to pick that one up lol. Umm, is it just wolf books you're looking for or werewolves, because i know plenty of werewolf books (not all conventional ones)

Sister of the wolf? I haven't read it in a while, but I remember it was good.

I'll have to check it out.

I just picked up one from the library recently. I didn't get a chance to read it but it was about wolves and I'm pretty sure it was from the point of view of wolves. It was called "Wolf-Woman" by Sherryl Jordan. It is somewhat of a younger book but it sounded pretty good. Also the books "The Sight" and "Fell" by David Clement-Davies. This one is a teen series about wolves that is apparently really good. My sister is in love with the series and I have yet to steal it from her lol

OoOo.. a Sheryl Jordan I haven't read.... I might have to find it.

The Sight by David Clement-Davies is REALLY good. It's seriously one of my favorite books of all time. <3 Was not such a fan of Fell, but it's a worthwhile read.
Loved Promise of the Wolves as well! That was a great book, and one of very few that me and my best friend both enjoyed.

I'll make sure I check it out ;)

White Fang is a classic book from the wolf's perspective. I really love it and it's quite sad. It was made into a film a while back and it's still one of my favourites. It's by Jack London I think and I would really recommend it to you if you're looking for something from the Wolf's perspective. The story is based on the life of a half wolf half dog and it begins with his mother, then moves onto him as a pup, with him not being able to see and stuff.....really good. =)

Oh and the Farseer series... it's by Robin Hobb (great writer) has wolves in it.. but they aren't the main bit.

This times 1000. The Sight is seriously one of the best wolf books I've ever read. I agree also the Fell was only ok in comparison. Also, though it's not about wolves, if you end up liking The Sight read Fire Bringer by the same author. I never new deer could be awesome until I read that book.

Iltu 06-17-2010 03:20 PM

I agree with Sho about Fire Bringer. It made deer awesome the same way Watership Down made rabbits completely epic and The Once and Future King (at least, the Sword in the Stone part of the book) and The Book of Merlyn made geese amazing, though Geese only played a small role in both. People always seem to want to read and write books about wolves, but I wouldn't limit yourself!
